The grout and caulking job was substandard. This project was slated to be 3-4 days. It went 5 days. Almost every day the installers would not show up until 1130a-1200p. They would leave around 630p-700p. Late the first day after the promised arrival time. I was assured that the late arrival would NOT affect the installation time. I realize baseboards are made of thin material but when they were reinstalled...well, pictures tell the tale. Probably looking at replacing several runs of baseboard. Several locations on the shower tile have caulk and grout which have a sloppy and uneven bead. The shower water handle escutcheon was caulked. The shower head water pipe escutcheon? Nope! One location has a large (at least 1/2 inch) patch of grout or sanded caulk between the shower tile and a molding on a pony wall. There was NO gap at that location prior to the project. This project cost more than $5,000. Parts of it look horrible. Had my wife in tears. Now we have repairs to make. Worst part is...we used them for a kitchen tile backsplash and laundry room floor tile installations. Both of those projects turned out wonderfully. What happened??? After this bathroom project, never again. I'll gladly go elsewhere. Update- 4/2/24. After posting the original review, my wife received a call the following day (at 8:15 am) from the company. They learned that we weren't pleased with this poor job. They stated they would contact us to make a plan. Timetable as follows: 3/12 - Eddie from fulfillment called to discuss job. 3/14-three reps from Company came to our home. They personally looked at the work and my wife stated that body language and facial expressions spoke volumes. They were not impressed either. Stated it was "not to their standards" and stated someone would come out to complete job properly. On 3/19, we were called and told that they were having a meeting about this. They called again 3 days later saying that someone would be out to measure to make sure enough is ordered a rep came out and measured. On 4/2 (2 weeks after they observed the job) we hadn't heard anything. My wife called AGAIN ( they never reach out to us. We have to call them when there's no action). She asked them for an update regarding what's going on. She was told that they had to wait for paperwork related to the cost so we wouldn't be billed. Why is their screw up delaying this correction??? They stated that it could be 4/22 before they come out to correct the job. That's three weeks from the time of this update. . Basically we're out of the use of the bathroom for over two months. For a "3-4 day job". They stated in their response to my review that they would deal with it "promptly". Two months is prompt?????? This company has shown HORRIBLE customer service to us. Stay away at all costs. If they did this to us, they can do it to you. read more

I placed a tile order back in September/October 2023, I have not received my materials till this day due to it being on back order. I have called several times on the expected arrival date with most calls going to a voicemail box that isn't set up. When they do answer they will send me to the manufacturing representative that often times does not pick up. I have to then call the store again to get a "I will have them call you back" response which is a 50/50 if they actually do call you back. I digress, but the lack of customer service is below average. Till this day (almost 6 months) I am still waiting on my tile order to come into their warehouse. For future buyers, beware of purchasing any tiles that are on back order. The store will only point the blame to their vendors and state "there's nothing we can do." read more

Our carpet was installed today and we were so disappointed with the installers. They did not know it was a new construction, they were going to call before they arrived and did not call, I ended up having to clean, sweep and vacuum the floor before they installed because they were not prepared. When our contractor showed up to speak to the installer he only spoke Spanish. I have asked a number of people if this is common and not one said yes and I should have never have had to clean the floor that is the installers responsibility. read more

I strongly recommend not to use these guys as they loot customers. I placed request for vinyl flooring for my game room in costco next website and myFlooring guys came and took the measurement and gave the price quote. Finally after multiple reviews I went with them, since the vinyl flooring match which I want they are getting through different vendor. They got document signed with me that costco program will not be applicable since they are getting the vinyl planks from outside vendor. After installation guys came in, they removed entire carpet in the game room and spread the float. After completion of spreading the float they came and said the floor is uneven and it requires at least 20 bags(which costs 20*59 = 1180) of float to make the floor even to lay vinyl planks(which they haven't informed me before removing the carpet or while spreading the float). Installation guy whoever came said they are going to spread more tomorrow since he spread whatever he have and said it will be additional to your vinyl installation and that needs to be paid. Since they have removed my carpet and there is no other option for me to do and so I asked them to go ahead. But the next day the Installer hasn't spread any float and installed vinyl planks. After asking him he is bluffing he has already did that yesterday. Since I don't have any option I just signed the final document. But later I realized and reviewed my front security camera and they took only 4 float bags from their Van. I have discussed with the coordinator and also their manager and shared the whole security camera recordings to them. Despite of enquiring they were just saying since I have signed the final closing document, they cannot do anything now. ***UPDATE*** Finally resolved. The owner was engaging and empathetic. We are happy with our floors. The process left a bit to be desired, but glad this is behind us. This company excels at sales, but is dead last in service. Their follow up was impeccable in the sales process. From there, the installation was just ok. The install crew itself was good. Vinyl flooring install went as planned, but our carpet install had to be rescheduled, and this is where the wheels started to come off. The administrative/service side of their business leaves a lot to be desired. Somehow, someone added an incorrect contact number to their database, and they claim follow up calls were made to that number. I spoke to 5-6 people about this, and to date I'm not sure if it's been corrected on their end. It's worth noting that my cell # is in my email signature, and it's hard to understand why you don't have the right number when you're trading texts with me. Since installation, I've spent the last 6 weeks trying to get an appointment for, what I would describe, minor service. There are 2-3 planks that need attention, but getting this done has been excruciating. I've made multiple attempts by phone, text and email, and after that I had to seek out the owner on Facebook instant messenger before I could actually get an appointment scheduled. Since then? I've been no-showed twice. Not even a courtesy call to say "running late or something came up". Yes you read that correctly, I've been stood up on consecutive appointments without the courtesy of a single phone call. So it's been almost 2 months since I've paid, and 6 weeks since the install, and I'm still hoping/praying to get minor service done. For what it's worth, I found this company thru the Costco home services program, and I've now begun to escalate this thru them. I will shoulder some blame for not working thru Costco earlier to rectify this issue. At this point I would definitely NOT recommend My Flooring America (Denton/I35 location). read more

I wish I could give 0 stars. The customer service department is completely negligent in performing customer service. Our floors were installed on a Friday and after the installation, not a single person from my flooring America called us to follow up. The contractors were very nice and fast but several staples and screws were sticking out of the baseboards. Us, our guests, or our dogs could have easily cut themselves on these screws that were in high traffic areas. We thought we gave the contractors the correct paint color for the baseboards, but it was too light. Instead of calling us or my flooring America, they continued with the incorrect color and we had to go back and fix it ourselves.(Just to clarify, it took three weeks after installation for somebody to call us and hear our concerns and then continue to not fix the issues after their negligence, keep reading for more details on that.) The contractors also did not pin the existing carpet down very well and did not clean up very well. (Photos Attached) I called the following Friday, and left a voicemail. No one ever called me back. The next Friday, I called again and got through to somebody who said the gentleman who oversees our area would call us. Several days later he called us saying he swore that he followed up with us after the installation. Neither me nor my husband received a call or had a missed call from him. He said there was nothing he could do to reimburse us for our time fixing the contractor's mistakes and apologized. We are overwhelmingly unimpressed with my flooring America's customer service. We will not be using them again and we will let everybody we know who is considering new flooring to not use them. read more

Due to a malfunction and leak of our dishwasher, we had to replace our wood-laminate flooring. We worked with Glen Dobraska at My Flooring America. He was friendly, highly responsive, accommodating, and worked to give us a very good deal on the upgraded waterproof flooring replacement we wanted. The gave us a three-day estimate for completion of the removal-replacement project. The three-man work crew got it all done in two days. The final results were beautiful. We couldn't be more please with the professionalism and pricing of My Flooring America. They are as good as it gets. read more

We had a terrible experience and would NOT recommend this company! They jerked us around for 1.5 weeks about our install date and did not communicate well. They called on a Sunday to say we needed to be home and ready for them to install hardwood (in 2 rooms) the following day (talk about giving notice!) We re-arranged our schedule, moved furniture from our bedroom and they called at 10a Mon to say they made a mistake. Ok - things happen. We were fine. They scheduled us for the following Monday and showed up w/o materials because they hadn't arrived yet and asked if they could tear up our carpet and prep. We asked them not to because it's our bedroom where we sleep. Tuesday arrived and they showed up, moved furniture and then told us they still didn't have materials and would come back on Wed with the flooring. They promised to be here early, 7:45-8a and arrived after 9:30a. 3 times we unmade our bed, moved furniture into our bathroom/hallway, etc so they could start, and 3 times they postponed without proper communication. Finally - the bait and switch. Once the floors were being installed I noticed the plank sizes were all the same. . At the time of estimate, he said he didn't have the exact sample, but showed us colors and size options. We selected the wood with 3 widths (which was very cool to us) and the color. The floor that was installed was all the same width. We called the sales rep and the company and were told we got what we ordered. Over $7500 for 2 bedrooms and 2 closets - we did NOT get a fair price for the crap they installed. They do NOT care about their customer!! We called to complain and nobody returned our calls. I guess they have our credit card info and that's all they care about. We would never hire this company again! read more

Sean was so wonderful and the carpet he helped me choose is fabulous. I just moved to this state and didn't know which company to use for flooring in my new home. The carpet choices make me so happy. He absolutely knows what he's doing. He went out of his way to make a chaotic move much easier. He personally came to help when movers and installers were in a time conflict. As indicated in my previous reviews, this is a follow up after installation. The installers were experienced professionals, quick, efficient, installed properly. They arrived in a timely manner and vacuumed the carpets once done. I was contacted by customer care following the installation to make sure I was satisfied, then the store manager as well. Absolutely horrible experience. DO NOT BUY! So I had flooring installed by this company 7 years ago that was around 1000 sqft. My wife and I are currently remodeling part of our house and decided to continue the wood flooring throughout and went back through Costco to use this contractor. A few warning signs coming... So they send me a sales guy that didn't really know what he was doing but claimed to be with the company 6 years plus. (Come to find out that's not true) So anyhow Caleb comes out and tells me that matching the wood would be no problem and they could have it installed in the time frame needed. So my project is remodeling my kitchen, front entryway, and dining room and I contacted them back in August and needed an install date in mid October which was originally scheduled for October 13. I didn't really like the pricing but I did like the idea that the wood would be continued throughout my entire house it would match ideally perfect which I was reassured by Caleb that this was true. I also figured that I had gone through Costco and utilize my membership so if there an approved vendor that this is going to work. I didn't really like the price and did the demo myself because they had bumped her head on pricing per square foot. $3 to demo and $4 to install. Absolutely robbery, that's $7 a sqft. (FYI my new guy is $2 and $1) anyhow, I paid them in cash about the second week in September in full but I have contacted them in August it took two weeks for them to even get a guy out here to me. So we're coming up on the October 13 date for install in about a week before I get a call from them saying that I'm delayed 10 days till October 23. Now all my Flooring's been ripped up I have a project going that they're basically pushing the timeframe back 10 days on and half my house is demolished so I'm not very happy about that. Ends up I talked to a guy at corporate name is Jim he was a very nice guy and he reassured me that this would go off without a hitch on October 23. October 23 rolls around and the installer show up I meet the guys, actually like them, they were very knowledgeable and they regretted to inform me that the wood doesn't match. Basically the width, the length, and the color were all wrong, not even close. In fact the only aspect of the flooring that was correct is that it was a wood base product. So now instead of waiting another 45 days to start this process all over I absolutely fired them and requested an immediate refund to go and hire a company that can actually get this done. After filling out the required paperwork and asking and requesting for an immediate refund even if I had to go to Denton to pick up the check personally I have still not received one it's been over a week and I'm pretty furious about it. On Monday when I spoke with Caleb after four days of contacting him in regards to a refund I asked to speak with his manager who I have yet to hear from and they've basically robbed my money and not given it back. I will be posting a review on every review site I see as well as with Costco and the BBB so other people won't be taken advantage of the same way. read more

We recently used My Flooring America to install two types of flooring; hardwood for kitchen, and living room and then a big carpet installation. We worked with Sean who was very professional and attentive, he really was flexible to work to our schedule which was important because we have kids and needed to work around school schedules. When we wanted to match our new plantation shutters to the floor, Sean delivered the sample to our home after requesting it from the rep and let us keep it to get a match. We ended up deciding on some great dark hardwood and then some 'ultra plush' carpet which has been great - nice to roll around on when playing with the kids. Installers were professional, understandable and respected our belongings which seems uncommon these days. For the massive carpet install they worked from first thing in the morning on day #3 all the way until it was finished quite late in the night - maybe 11pm!? Very impressive that they got it done on schedule. After the install was done, Sean and the installation manager personally visited to make sure everything was to their quality and to our satisfaction. We used My Flooring America for the above two projects and have one more (hardwood + tile) in the future - we look forward to working with Sean and the team again - thank you! read more

I was very satisfied with the new laminate flooring that was installed. The estimated completion time was 3 days, and the flooring was completed on schedule. The Installation team was very courteous, and professional. Both my computer and TV systems were reinstalled by the team. So, I could enjoy their use, when I returned. In a past installation, these systems were disassembled, and I had to reassemble them. My Flooring was easy to work with, and I would use their services again! read more

very good company to deal with, from start to finish they are on top of it for the most part. markus and sean are top notch on the sales side. They went out of there way to help us on selecting the right product and worked with our budget to make it possible. The install crew was fabulous they were very fast and complete, they totally knew what they were doing. The only small issue we had was they ran out of material in the master bath. Keep on driving past this store. My husband and I stopped at the Denton store to try to find tile for a bathroom remodel. Overall, the staff was friendly and as helpful as possible, as choosing tile is a very personal task. Jackie initially assisted us, but handed us off to a new sales associate so that she could go do an in-home measure. We picked out our tile and set up an appointment to have our bathroom measured. The day of the appointment, our scheduled time came and went, with no Jackie and no phone call. 20 minutes after our scheduled time, I had to call HER to find out if she was coming out. She informed me that yes, we had an appointment, but she was stuck in the store with a customer and would be heading out soon. Another 45 minutes goes by with no call; I called her and was told that they were on the way. Considering we were an hour and a half past our appointment time, I told her that we had errands to run and asked her to call me when she got back to the store to reschedule. No phone call ever came. I called her the next day and set up another appointment for the following Thursday at 11am. Fast forward to the next Thursday: I missed a call from Jackie at 10:52; she left a voicemail asking me to call her because she had a question. I called back at 10:59 and 11:30 with no answer. I finally called back at 12:05 and left a message explaining that I didn't understand why they bothered to schedule appointments when they had no desire to keep them. I also told her that we would be purchasing our tile from some other company. Thank goodness I have pictures and the names of the tile I selected; now I can go give my money to another store that actually wants to make their customers happy. I will be telling any of my friends that might be in the market for flooring to avoid this store at any cost. Bottom line for businesses: If you schedule appointments, make courtesy calls the day prior and keep the appointment. Things don't always go as planned, so if something comes up and the associate cannot make it to the home at the scheduled time, GIVE THE CUSTOMER WHO WANTS TO GIVE YOU MONEY a phone call to let them know that the time may need to be adjusted. read more

Marcus and the sales team was great, and buyer beware that's where the pleasant experience ends. Lorie and the scheduling and install team was awful. We moved all of our stuff from our carpeted areas the day before the install crew was scheduled to show up. Then they call me an hour before they were supposed to show up and told me they did not have the material and would not be coming. They asked me to wait a week to schedule the install. This is a massive inconvenience because like I said before they had us move all of our stuff out of the rooms recieving the carpet. They would not call me back when they promised to in order to keep me informed about rescheduling. When I finally did get a new appointment (one week after originally scheduled) they called me the day of again and pushed my time back and now they need to work over two days because they have pushed me back so late in the day. I would never do business here again. Absolute worst customer service I have ever experienced. I should have stuck with Home Depot. read more

I remember being SO excited to get new floors. My husband and I went into this place....& set up an apt to have someone come out to our house. We both took time off work to meet with this person. They never showed up. No call, no nothing. The product they install is very good. Their customer service leaves a lot to be desired. They failed to return phone calls and they failed to keep up to their promises of returning on time. One of the worst companies I've had to deal with in a long time. They spell concrete on my sealed and painted garage floor and did not clean it up and they refused to come back to do so. They missed placed the carpet that they told us they had but somehow could not find it until we had to call Costco where we bought it from and do some complaining, somehow the carpet showed up at the next day. Garage floor is not taken care of yet. And when they remove the tile floors in the kitchen area they did not cover nothing with plastic. So dust went everywhere. And no one on there installation crew or take responsibility or speak English. read more

They do a great job taking out and installing all in one day. They came out, used their lasers to measure. Problem was, before installation. There was already an agreed upon price for the measurements they took. I receive a call saying I needed to come and pay an extra $500 due to their miss calculations. When they were done, I had a huge fat and tall role of carpet left over, and it was my problem. Felt like a scam after all was said and done. read more

Stay away. Took off time from work to get the install done. Lisa sent us a email to confirm the start date. We told her yes that works for us. I even drove up to the store to confirm. Yes sir we will be there Monday morning. No one showed up. No one called. I called several times that day got the run around. Then when I said I was going to cancel all the sudden they said they would start in the morning. At 7:30. No it's 8:30. How about 9 sir does that work. Oh and btw the way you don't need to be there just let the guys in. I originally drove to the store because after we confirmed the start date per Lisa's email she would not respond to us that she received it and we were on the schedule. What a joke read more

Danny followed up with us and was able to beat a bid we had gotten from another flooring company by $600. Barbara came to the house and measured everything. We cannot say enough good things about My Flooring America. From our first contact with Josh in sales to Chris Cagle who came to our home to determine how much flooring was required and the installation guys Olvin and Jamie, we had wonderful service. We were very pleased to find out that the installation was done by employees and not contracted out. Josh did a very good job after visiting with us a short time in guiding us to the exact type of plank flooring that we wanted. He left us alone to discuss how we felt about the various choices. There was never a high pressure sales pitch. When Chris came to the house, he was very professional while at the same time personable and thoroughly explained the whole process from start to finish and answered all of our questions. The installation was a two day job. Olvin and Jamie could not have been nicer to have in the house. They kept the confusion to a minimum and were very careful while working throughout the house installing the plank flooring as well as when they were moving the furniture to clear the rooms prior to ripping out the old carpet.
