Used Lyle and his company about a month ago. Contacted him due to a malfunction with my garage door opener. Lyle came to check within a few days of my call. He was very honest in his assessment and advised he could fix it but since our opener was over 10 years old and not on the best condition, it would work on a temporary basis. He gave me a very fair price on replacing with a new updated system. Once scheduled, he was able to install in about an hour. New opener came with a keypad and WiFi access so we can now open the door even if we are not home. He was very patient and gave a step by step process on programming the new opener. Contacted Lyle for a new construction door install. Upon agreeing on an installation date, Lyle was a no show for a couple of days. After multiple attempts to reach him, I finally got a text. Lyle says he was too sick to work. We again agreed upon a date for the install. Again, no Lyle. A subsequent text indicated he would be there that day. That didn't happen either. When a technician did finally show up, it wasn't Lyle. He brokered the work to an outside installer. This guy, Mr. Jiminez, was very fast and very good. What was problematic is Lyle's declaration of illness. He didn't even come to the job so why did his sickness have any part in the delay? Lyle may be a good repairman; he simply isn't the installer you or I are looking for. Proceed with caution if trying to book this company for an install. read more

These guys are amazing!!! They were the 8th company I called in searching for a good and reliable Garage Opener installation. What got me sold was a conversation with Katie about their services. She was kind, yet at the same time very knowledgeable about the services they provided. Their catch phrase is "Now you have a friend in the business" and at first I thought it was gimmicky, but after speaking with Katie, I realized it was truly who they were! After setting up the appointment, the serviceman (Lyle was his name) came out on time and I found him to be just as friendly as Katie. He carefully explained what he was going to do. Because of his professionalism, I asked his expert opinion on anything else that could be added. The best part about my entire interaction with Lyle was that he was never pushy nor did he try to "upsell" me. He was very thorough, very detail-oriented, and at the same time helpful. I ended up getting the services that were necessary and nothing was added without a thorough discussion together. He finished the entire job in the exact window which was promised, and the final bill was exactly what was discussed over the phone with Katie - no surprising/extra charges. The only surprise was the pleasant surprise of a job that was well done which far exceeded my expectations. Now I have a garage door that is so quiet and efficient, my only regret was that I didn't call them sooner! They deserve to be applauded for their honesty, kindness, and professionalism! When the spring on our main garage door broke we called My Garage Guy the next morning. Lyle was able to come out that morning and fixed the door quickly and correctly. He was honest about the issue and didn't try to get us to do more than what needed done. He also fixed a piece on our third car garage door that had been giving us issues, but we hadn't looked into getting fixed until we met Lyle! All of this was done with a very reasonable price! I recently had My Garage Guy install two garage door openers in my new house and I was very pleased with the results. I have very high ceilings in my garage and this was not an issue for them. In fact, the ceilings were so high we had to temporarily use a long extensions cord and a few weeks later when I had a permanent cord they came back out and swapped out the cords for me. The owner himself did the install and took his time and did a very nice job installing my openers. I would definitely recommend My Garage Guy for all your garage door needs! read more

Lyle came out and spent 2 hours with me addressing a problem that the other vendor that had come out on Monday to replace my rollers springs bearings etc and threshold strip replaced continued to not lie down correctly...after being told it would eventually correct itself...which it didn't...I called Lyle after a glowing referral on Next door...he came out and fixed the strip and also adjusted the door and springs which was also creating a gap under door and made it fit perfectly...mind you my garage floor is uneven and I was told that it would never be flat and have gaps..wrong!!! After spending 550 with the first vendor and having Lyle come out and spend 2 hours for 54.00 and make everything right its a no brainer who I'll call in the future...the up charges on the original work for parts and labor were definitely high compared to Lyles pricing for the same work...MY GARAGE GUY HONEST...AFFORDABLE AND GOES ABOVE AND BEYOND TO MAKE YOU HAPPY...HE HAS 25 YEARS EXPERIENCE AND IS TRULY AN EXPERT!
