The teachers are so loving and attentive with both my 2-year-old and 6-month-old, and the hands-on, engaging curriculum has made learning fun for my toddler. He loves his teachers and classmates! This place was the greatest in Shadow Creek area at least 5 years ago. Obviously, when a school nutritionist left, we noticed that school began to feel a little strange and began to slowly feel worse and worse. Despite sending my children for 5 years, but the curriculum coordinator said me " Who are you?" when I was asking some questions about my oldest child's class. Then the former director left without farewell and was not explained well to the parents. Around that time, they began to have so many fund raisers with goals that came sounded a little more like a demand than a goal. For teacher appreciation week I prepared some gifts for my child's teachers, somehow a lady who I have never told me "I am also your child's teacher", she sounded like "why you do not give me gift as well". During pick up one day, I could not find my child in the classroom. And some boys had made a circle in the corner of the classroom. Looking carefully, my kid was hidden and kicked by those boys, but the teacher did not stop this. We began to notice a higher turned over rate with the teachers. Regarding the tuition, we never had an invoice or portal for us to check our account balance without asking them, this didn't bother us much as we kept track of payments and extra fees on our end and everything matched up fine. Then out of the blue we received a notice that our account was short and needed to be paid soon to avoid a late fee, we checked though our records and everything seemed to have matched up. After requesting some of their records we found out that we were charged extra one week without notice and one of our payments was entered incorrectly. During the COVID-19, we were notified that a teacher was infected, although the teacher was not my child's teacher he still came in close contact with them, and they asked us quarantine for 2 weeks or get a negative test result. I am an essential worker and we need daycare. Why BPA did not shut down for 2 weeks? I saw some children was playing outside during the time and another teacher enters randomly the classroom despite COVID-19? What practice do all teacher have for COVID-19? Anyways, they made our life difficult and bothered us with the obscure tuition policies, school plan and late fee etc. My child's elementary school is far BPA and recently they announced that there is no shuttle to pick up from elementary. Also Alvin ISD says "online school" this fall. I know nobody knows the plan, but their annual school fee during was still listed as non refundable during the beginning of COVID-19. Despite we paid annual school fee, we decided to move to a new daycare. There is a very clear way to see the tuition fee, great communication between parents and teacher/school. I regret that I should have moved out here at least 1 year ago. But I know there are some good teachers who I and my kids love still be here thus, I put 2 stars. read more

I absolutely love BPA! As a speech pathologist and new mom I was very picky about daycare. We toured BPA because of friends recommendations and fell in love and didn't look anywhere else. They remembered my daughters name before she was born. She started at 8weeks old. The staff has been patient, caring, understanding, thoughtful, thorough and I am very pleased. I love the new app too! The communication is top notch. They care about the kiddos and know them by name! It's a welcoming & family environment! read more

I cannot say enough good things about this school, I was very apprehensive about putting my grandson in daycare for the first time at 17 mos. He has always been cared for at home by a family member, so I knew starting him in daycare was going to be a big challenge. The teachers and staff at Bridgepoint Academy were up for the challenge, it took my grandson a solid 3 weeks to get adjusted, but his teachers and staff there loved on him every step of the way. They also encouraged me on the days I was tearful, questioning if I was doing the right thing. I must say my grandson loves going to school now he gets out the truck with his backpack on walks in waving hi to everyone as he enters. The staff keeps me informed of his needs and when I want to check in on his day i can view his classroom online through a secured website. I get his updates on meals, naps, and diaper changes as they happen. As I said before I can not say enough good things about Bridgepoint Academy we simply love it here. read more

Summary- RED FLAG! Run away from this place!! They are unprofessional, intolerant, impatient, lack integrity and experience. There are so many better options around the area. Keep looking. Details - My son was put in the 18month class and the teacher (Ms. Aaliyah) was horrible in communicating with us. She seemed irritated whenever we asked her simple questions. When I first met her I was not too comfortable with her attitude but I ignored it because I thought that she was just shy and introverted. However, her lack of enthusiasm and apathy showed throughout my son's 6 days in the daycare. Before enrollment, I told the director(Ms Ashley) that my son takes longer than normal to adapt to new environments. She mentioned that the daycare was capable of handling him, so I proceeded with the extensive enrollment process. My son had a good first and second day but on the 3rd day he started crying, and was not participating in the class activities. I received multiple complaints that his crying was disruptive but this should be expected with a 21month old toddler. I was also told that my son did not want to lay down for naps and would walk around the class sometimes tripping over kids that were asleep on the "cot". I was surprised because my assumption was that the "teacher" would prevent him from disturbing the other kids by keeping him engaged. On my son's 6th day at the daycare, I got a call from the office complaining about my son's "behavior". She repeatedly asked me to provide suggestions and I did. But she mentioned that the daycare could not implement the policies. I understood and agreed with her but Ms. Ashley went around justifying her actions by stating that I made inappropriate suggestions. I am a first time mum, parents should not be put in this position, I am not a childcare provider or expert, so it is not my responsibility to provide suggestions on taking care of kids that meet their daycare policies. My son is a 21month old that cannot communicate his needs but Ms Ashley(director) gave me an ultimatum of one more week(5more school days) with the condition that I had to pick him at 12noon but pay a full day's tuition for each day!! Of course I disagreed to the terms because those were not the terms in the enrollment agreement that I signed! Ms Ashley then stated that my son's last day would be that day since I did not agree with her "terms". I had to leave my highly demanding job to pick up my son at 10a.m because I could not leave him with people who felt that he was overwhelming, had behavioral problems and was too much to handle, for the rest of the day. I felt stranded and disgusted that adults would feel this way about a toddler. When I got to the school to pick him up, the teacher and administrators brought him to the front office, put his personal belongings in a box and handed him over to me. They did not utter a word to him, no well wishes or goodbyes as we left the building. Their actions showed that they did not care about him and wanted him to leave. Ms. Aaliyah did not want to put in the effort to help him adapt and had poor communication skills. The daycare administrators enabled her behavior due to the shortage of daycare workers. If Ms Ashley was honest about the capabilities of the daycare, I would not have put my family through this nightmare. If you are looking for a place that would be accommodating and patient, treat you like family, and help your child adapt, this is not the place for you. They can easily get rid of any child that is not "perfect" despite the child's age and there is nothing that you can do to protect your precious child when they make their decision. DON'T BE LIKE ME! This post is for any parents who have children at BridgePoint Academy or who may be considering them as a childcare option. As of today, I am a former BPA parent. My children were abruptly removed due to a "conflict of interest." Over the course of my children's enrollment, my husband and I have paid $104,928.75 in tuition fees to BPA, and I was not afforded a face to face meeting or a phone conversation with the owner to discuss the removal of our children. Unfortunately, BPA made an irrational decision, so I have decided to respond and let my community know about what happened. I want to let you know that if you're looking for a facility that has children's best interest in mind, BridgePoint Academy is NOT for you. The saddest part of it all is that they're taking an adult issue out on my children. My daughter is scheduled to graduate in May with her friends, but due to her removal, she will not have this opportunity. This, my friends, is BridgePoint Academy. Amazing staff and teachers and high quality education! We have been at BP for over 3 years. My youngest one is always in a bad mood in the morning; and they always make her smile the moment she gets into the daycare! I think it is the best daycare in the area! We love it! read more

I would not recommend this school for the following reason: I am a new Texas transplant, and I decided I would choose this school, but I was not 100% sold on the attitude of the staff. The staff seemed disingenuous with a happy facade. I had a few weeks to reconsider because I was not due to start work for a few weeks. I discussed with the director that I would be dropping in periodically to slowly acclimate my daughter to her new surroundings. However, on the first drop in I was met with hostility, the director said " you can't leave her, you have to stay." ... Well, this caught me off guard, because why would I leave my daughter alone in a new environment with people she doesn't know? Hmmm....I preceded to assure her that I was not trying to get free care but I was staying with her, as discussed for about 10 mins. Strike one! Well, on the third drop in, my 8 yr old niece came with me. Upon entering, I was asked to leave her ( my niece)in the reception area as to not distract the 3 yr olds... fine. I left her there, only to have a lady bring her to me in the class in a very rude manner. Well, the lady was the owner. She never introduced herself, not even a smile. She had a chagrin that appeared permanently placed and her persona emitted unhappiness. The owner was very rude and belittling. She does not care for children or patrons.. it is clear that she is just in it for monetary reward.! Tell tale sign... get your kid out of there and I was happy I found out before she actually started. In retrospect, she must be the reason the staff is soo tense and unhappy. read more
