We rented this with our friends because we stayed in one similar earlier this summer with our family and it was nice. Such a disappointment...the beach was nice tho! The Dancing Dunes in Port Aransas is a true gem. My family of 4 has been coming here for several…read moreyears and our 3 night stay was memorable. This time around my sister and brother in law and thier kids also came along for the first time. Becky the property manager greeted us as we arrived at our 4pm check-in. She explained everything in detail and walked us through the cabin and made us feel very welcomed. The unique one story cabins are arranged in a horseshoe configuration and are named according to their theme, and in the middle a beautiful courtyard is shared with gueats. We actually stayed in their latest newly remodeled two story cabin called The Marlin. It's located right next to the main property. At night it's very safely lit and your vechicals are parked under the structure. It sleeps 10 with two full baths and all the amenities you need to make your stay enjoyable. It has a second story large balcony and a small third story balcony as well. Access to the beach is at walking distance or a short drive. After hurricane Harvey the cabins sustained damage and there was even a waterline marker when the storm surge came in. After alot of hard work and tireless vollenteers the newly remodeled cabins are better than ever. Becky was even kind enough to show us inside The Rock and Roll cabin and the remarkable improvements they made. The Dancing Dunes is highly recommend which ever cabin you stay in. Peaceful when we wanted peace; fun when we wanted fun. No need to fuss over whether or not I brought everything I needed for the beach. If I forgot something or needed to pee - the house was 200 yards away. Everyone could kind of do their own thing (chill on the deck in the sun or take a nap in the shade, post up on the beach, watch a movie, cook) and at the same time, there was room for everyone to be a family together in the evening. We did The Black Marlin for dinner the first night (spectacular food and pretty good service). We also took advantage of the kitchen for a home-cooked meal the second night. I'm a pretty picky eater and a picky cook, and this kitchen had all the equipment I needed for the weekend. Most importantly - it was the best two nights of sleep I have had in a long, long time. It was equipped with a fridge, microwave, and dishes. The host also included extra towels, beach towels, dishwashing liquid for the dishes, shower necessities and a broom to sweep if we wanted. I loved the extra outdoor shower to rinse the sand off and the porch chairs to sit and relax. Although it had WiFi, I loved that it did not have a television as I caught up on some reading (I had an iPad and headphones for hubby to watch Netflix ). Book on Airbnb and find this gem, Flora outdid herself fixing this place up. I also loved the original paintings.

La La Land was a gorgeous home and we would definitely stay at this unit again. Unfortunately, our most recent stay included several service and maintenance issues that impacted the experience. While the staff was courteous, response times were challenging when problems arose. The most significant issue occurred on our final night when multiple fire alarms sounded in our unit for an extended period of time while we were traveling with an infant and toddler. Because maintenance was not immediately available on-site, it took quite some time to resolve the situation. I truly believe our experience would have been very different had maintenance personnel been available on the property to respond more quickly to urgent issues. For a resort of this size and caliber, having faster on-site maintenance support would greatly improve the guest experience and help prevent minor issues from becoming major disruptions. Cinnamon Shore has so much potential to provide an exceptional vacation experience, and I hope management continues investing in the operational side of the resort to match the beauty of the property itself.

My family owned a home here for over 10 years, and honestly, after this experience, I'm relieved we no longer do. It's disgusting to see how loyal residents and vacationers are treated now. Cinnamon Shore seems to think they can do whatever they want and treat people like second-class citizens. To make matters worse, the house we stayed in had cockroaches, which was already unacceptable considering the cost of staying here. Larry and Juan from courtesy patrol then approached and harassed my family over an investigation that none of us were involved in. During the interaction, they were taking photos of me and my family, which made us extremely uncomfortable. When I confronted them about it, Larry responded with, "You're not that sweet, sweetheart," before they became even more disrespectful and unprofessional, eventually calling me and my sister "f***ing ret*rds." What makes this even more disturbing is that I have the entire interaction recorded. I have special needs family members, so hearing that kind of language was beyond offensive and unacceptable. No guest, resident, or homeowner should ever be treated this way, especially by staff or security personnel who are supposed to make people feel safe. After being a loyal guest and homeowner family since 2009, I am honestly shocked and disgusted by the level of harassment, disrespect, and overall experience my family had.

The home is advertised as a higher-end Port Aransas vacation rental with amenities such as a private pool and hot tub, but what we experienced did not match what we felt was represented when booking. During our stay, we encountered numerous problems: * Pool was not working and was not clean * Hot tub did not work * Outside stair handle was broken * Back door handle was broken, and doors did not properly work or lock * Master bathroom toilet would not flush properly * Downstairs toilet was loose/wobbly and did not flush properly * Back sliding door would not lock at all * Broken chair on the patio * Wasp nests around the patios * Trash around the perimeter of the property * Refrigerator would not shut properly and the light did not work * Dishwasher smelled terrible * Open cereal/food was left in the cabinets * Most concerning, bunk-bed steps came loose while a child was climbing them Some of these are inconveniences, but others are legitimate safety and security concerns, especially doors that do not lock and bunk-bed steps failing while a child is using them. When families spend their hard-earned money on a vacation rental, especially one advertised at this level, they should reasonably expect the major amenities to work and the property to be clean, secure, and properly maintained. The location has a lot of potential, but based on the condition we experienced, we cannot recommend 845 Park Place in Port Aransas without significant improvements being made. Our biggest disappointment wasn't that one or two things went wrong -- things happen. It was the number of problems throughout the property and the feeling that many of them should have been caught before guests were ever allowed to check in.
