This space used to house Cowboy chicken ( rip, still sad about it) I been to Capriottis twice now and here are the takeaways: I tried the chicken cheesesteak sandwich and the original steak. Stick with the steak, the chicken one was a little too salty and didn't hit like its counterpart. The original cheesesteak is perfect! Seasoned right, tender, the cheese is 100% melted and gooey and it is not overshadowed by the onions and peppers. The bread is nice and thin but very soft, tastes a bit like sourdough. They do not skimp you on meat, you would think they would charge extra for the amount of protein you get. We all preordered our sandwiches through the app and picked them up with a breeze as we met in fig garden and hung out on the outdoor patio of Out of the Barrel. I normally go to Capriotti's in Clovis and love it but had literally one of the worst sandwiches ever made at Fig Garden last Tuesday evening. Description: "Grilled slow-roasted turkey, cranberry sauce, handmade stuffing, and mayo." The turkey was dry and salty, and the usually moist stuffing was bone-dry. The cranberry and mayonnaise would have helped, but as you can see in the pictures, both were missing! Am returning the inedible sandwich and requesting a refund. Was really craving a cold cut sandwich! My first time here and the person helping us was great, she was so nice and gave us some recommendations. I was kinda nervous trying this place because I knew it wouldn't be like Sam's deli or pie Monte's lol. I ordered the "wagyu" cold cut sandwich and the taste wasn't bad but it was so underwhelming, it didn't satisfy my cravings at all plus this place is a little bit pricey. The meats were kinda skimpy, it wasn't hitting. I also got a chicken noodle soup which was good and hot. Ordered the Italian cold cut and that was a disappointment as well. On the bright side I signed up with their rewards program and I was able to snag a free small (8in) sandwich of my choice with a purchase of something $2, so I paid for a cookie to get a sandwich. We ordered 2 half sandwich's (5inches) each and a small chicken noodle which came out to $28-$29 bucks btw. So that rewards made it worth it. Don't think I'll come back though. read more

The dude and I came o Capriotti's Sandwich Shop on 7/21/22. Mind you ... I am not a huge sandwich person as I am not really a fan of BREAD so I always prefer anything lettuce wrap. But I decided to do something different. Upon entering Staff was very friendly. No complaints there and it was clean inside. I ended up getting the Chicken Cheese Steak which I rated it 6/10 barely passing. It didn't have any flavor :( so when I came home I had to dip it in Salsa for myself to finish it or it would have ended up in the trash. It needed a lot of work but the salsa saved it which was 6/10. Very bland without my own additions. I would not get this again. The dude said his sandwich was alright and gave his Steak Cheese Steak a 7/10. He said he would have it again . So it was mixed. I imagine their other sandwiches were good but it was a miss for me. The packaging was beautiful and the customer service was great. I will skip on the Chicken Cheese Steak and see what other non sandwich options there are. read more

Sandwiches are piping hot off the grill so take your time with your first bite. My first sandwich was the grilled chicken parm. I was not overly thrilled with it. Good sandwich but no "oomph" to it. Sauce was lacking flavor and was just a little underwhelming. Second time, I got the wagyu cheesesteak with hot peppers. Now this is a good sandwich. Super soft and tender meat, seasoned just right. Bread is steamed so it's equally as soft as the meat. Perfect cheese to meat ratio to combine it all. The hot peppers were the special touch to giving you that noticeable heat to break up the richness of the meat and cheese but not overtaking the flavor of the wagyu. One of the Best Sandwiches I have ever had! I ordered through their website of pick up my order was ready in 15 mins. Their online system is user friendly and easy to navigate. You can simply order the sandwich it self with customizations or you can make it into a meal (options include a drink with cookies, drink with slaw, a drink with a salad, drink with chips etc...) They have a vast variety of sandwiches from cheese steaks, American wagyu, vegetarians, turkey subs and their classics. Prices vary on the size of the subs (5", 8", 10" and 18") all well reasonably pried for quality and quantity. You can also customize your toppings with each sandwich order. The customer service was great, everyone was friendly and I was greeted as I entered. I had ordered 2 5" subs one classic cheese steak and one American wagyu both in a cookie and drink combo. They were both were very good sandwiches the roast beef from the American wagyu was good but the Classic cheese steak was my favorite the flavors were there loved how warm the sandwich was and the cheese just melted with each bite and steak was moist. Hands down of the the best cheese steaks I've ever had. Definitely getting more than a 5" next time. I got the chocolate and sugar cookie, they nailed it!
