Our children have been attending this MyGym for many years. We took a break a few years ago and returned this Winter. It was as if we never left. They participate weekly in 3 courses which they love. My daughter has been enrolled in My Gym Fitness Center for 6 years and we love them. We started in the Mommy & Me program, transitioned into the preschool prep program, and is now enrolled in the drop off Karate, Gymnastics, and Ninja Training classes. The staff are friendly, informative, and helpful. They help all of the children learn new skills with confidence and reach their goals. Staff is engaging and keep the children active safely. I had two of my daughter's birthday parties at the facility as well and the service was exceptional and I did not have to worry about a thing. We have been at My Gym for 6 years and have done every class from mommy and me to Karate along with planning parties there and Girl Scout events. Both my girls feel like home when they are there and are so comfortable and love all the teachers. I'm on a current love/hate relationship with our gym for our little girl. Don't get me wrong- everyone who works there is a sweetheart and we feel comfortable with the sessions and services provided. Everyone is attentive and most of the parents of the little ones are great. We always have a good time and the baby gets her fill of running jumping and singing while she is there. This is, however, this nagging problem. Literally ----every time she goes... two days later she comes down with a cold or sniffles. Some say that she is building immunity. I say- I'm not sure what I say. I want her to interact with the other kids but when she does, I feel it. We took a month off to make sure it wasn't our imagination. Sure enough, after a month, play and interact, and sure as s*** , another cold... I love you, I hate you.... Where do we go from here? read more

Our 2.5 year old has been going here since he was 9 months old. Ms. Dana is the best teacher, she makes the experience so fun! My son is always asking to come back the second we leave. I Recently booked my daughters first birthday at my gym and my experience was nothing short of amazing. To start i picked a theme that wasn't available on their theme list. I was told not to worry and that they would find it. They delivered!!! Along with the perfect theme came the perfect service. From start to finish both host were accommodating and entertaining to both my adult family members and the children. The hostess were attentive and helpful and even called each child by name. They even got the children who are normally shy to interact. What an amazing day. My family has been going to this location of My Gym since 2018. (Our first child started then; by now our third one has been attending classes here for a couple of years.) My husband and I have always been impressed by just how amazing the teachers are, how fun the classes are for both kids and adults, and how clean the facility is. Thanks to the classes here, our kids have learned to practice and master important things like climbing and descending stairs, following instructions from teachers, and socializing with other children. Plus, you don't have to worry about the temperature or weather outside when you're inside the comfortable, carpeted gym. All three of my kids have had their third-birthday party here, too, and everyone had a blast. These days, my older two love attending summer camp sessions--you can pick and choose which days work for you, and there are fun themes like Disney movies and LEGO. And My Gym even offers Parents' Night Out events once a month so that you can squeeze in a date night...or maybe just have three hours to yourself to run errands sans kids or finally relax for a bit. We've been so thankful to have this home away from home, with warm, welcoming teachers who love our kids as if they were their own. read more

My 2.5 yo loves it hear! I really like the teaches especially Dana, very attentive and she seems to genuinely love what she does! The owner Evan is very personable. I was reading past reviews and read the one complaining about the swings and a kid getting bumped by it. If that happened to my kid, thats more than likely my fault as a parent for not supervising. The toddler classes are supervised play, not daycare. Anyway, dont think twice about this place, the people are excellent, the place is always clean and my kid loves it here! read more

Mr. Mike and Ms. Annie are really nice and energetic. During one of the classes no one showed up and instead of canceling the session, Mike did a private class for my son. The session has a mixture of free play and organized activity. Fortunately the class my son was in was not over crowded so he had some attention. However the classes can get very large. The space at the faciloty isn't as big as the My Gym in Queens but it is clean and doesn't smell. read more

This is the first time I have reviewed an establishment. I feel that I must for the safety of other young children.Today was the first time I have visited a my gym. My son is a 21 month very active little boy. To start, there is circle time which my son did not sit and participate in. Your staff did their best to entertain him. After, the tots were granted permission to play. There is way too much equipment resting against the walls by the mirrors. My son fell off the rolled up mat onto the wooden bars that were nearby. He got up crying with a bump on the right side of his forehead. The staff ran to get him a bag of ice. He continued playing after but 10 minutes later, 6 swings in the shape of bugs were hung up for the kids. There are no boundaries to safeguard children who are running around not to interfere with the swings. My son ran fast knocking right into a boy on the swing and got a bad bruise on his cheek. Needless to say, I will not be coming back and am happy this was a free trial . The swings should be blocked off. This is not safe. My son could have been hurt far worse. The staff said she warns the parents beforehand to stay close. This however is not good enough. read more

My Gym in Huntington was a wonderful experience until the owner Mr. Evan began teaching both my children's classes. He made what was once a fun loving, educational environment one of ridicule and disrespect. Rather than assisting a child who needs help focusing he dismisses them and makes them wait even longer for a turn or skips their turn completely. His insensitive sense of humor causes some of his students confusion and hurt feelings. He had no problem taking my money for months while providing sub par instruction. For a man who spends so much time with children one would expect patience, care and concern. Don't let his words fool you he comes off sounding professional and caring but his real colors reveal a frustrated man with little interest in the overall well being of the students he teaches. I'm beyond disappointed in my experience and feel guilty for exposing my children to his unprofessional antics. Update: Years later Mr. Even responds to this review with misinformation. I was smugly told by Mr. Evan when I asked why he was not promoted "you see what goes on here" and he's right I did. I saw a 4 yr old boy who had a difficult time sitting amongst gym equipment and waiting for a turn to learn his form in a karate class. Mr. Evan only taught him half the form and neglected to tell me. If he had I could have told my son he was not being promoted saving him tears on promotion day. My son had no problem earning belts in Tae Kwon Do with professional instructors after we left My Gym. read more

To be fair, I'm not sure what to expect in terms of a children's gym, but after reviewing a few gyms including My Gym, Gymboree, and some other place near Roslyn, we decided on My Gym in Huntington Station, maybe 15 mins from my house. My son went to the My Gym toddler class when he was younger, and now our daughter goes. I feel like the activities are creative and varied, and the staff is energetic and enthusiastic. Parents are encouraged to play with their children, and it's kind of necessary, the toddler class has two teachers, and they can only be so many places at once. The facility is clean, in fact it has that look and feel of rugs just vacuumed. I've seen no dirt nor grime anywhere, and I tend to be nosey (oh, I bet they didn't clean back there! oh wait yes they did) Is the owner an amazing sensei? I have no idea, but as someone who once trained in Shotokan Karate, I know the traditional classes can be very strict (too strict for me!) So if you do the karate program, ask about that - strictness and discipline might be something you're looking for. I can only speak to the toddler program based on my experience, and everyone is friendly, the tone is super positive, and my kids and I have a great time there (my wife, too, when she goes). Is it a good value? I'm not sure, my wife did the sign-ups, but seeing as how we did the classes with my son and came back with our daughter, we wouldn't have returned if we thought it wasn't worth it. Now all that said, five stars? Look, Yelp is imperfect, in that a 30 word, one-star, nonspecific review can really impact a business. Child became ill and unable to attenddue to lead poisoning, didnt call to cancel. Wasnt there for 3 months (august-november), still charged us Then they "retroactively " as the manager said froze our account at the end of November after charging us for that month. Offered to credit us for one month. One more reason why we miss Gymboree, they were about the kids. read more

We love My Gym! I have been taking my daughter since she was 4 months old! She is currently 2 1/2 years old and we still love going every week to see what new and exciting activities are planned. Her 2nd birthday was a blast and I've never seen her so happy there. We've had nothing but positive experiences with everyone who works there. We especially love Miss Annie who has grown close to my daughter as well as Me. She always takes extra time to make sure our needs are met and that we are having a great time. She is an amazing teacher and I can't say enough positive things about her. Since we first signed up Evan (the owner) has also been very wonderful. He is such a nice guy and knows how to run a business. I am so glad I started taking my daughter here at such a young age. We had a birthday party on Sunday. the place was nice but the 2 people that worked the party need to be more professional.sorry didn't get their names. the man was almost yelling at the kids, and they rushed us throughout the party. when my granddaughter went on the zip line i asked to let her go by herself so i can take pictures(she's 8 years old) and he kept insisting on holding on to her by the waist thus lifting her shirt up as she was going down. the bubbles were so much kids were getting soaked. they should have kept the gym open more than the bubbles. i would not recommend this place. We asked for extra things that they forgot to take out. they need to sharpen their party experiences. They forgot the coffee. of course we did not pay for it, but thats not the point. you should get what you ask for, and how professional is it that they forgot. it was written on the receipt. anyway its their loss. read more
