Super stand up guy. I came to get my iphone x screen replaced because there was a visible crack across the screen under the screen protector. I didn't want to take the protector off in case it made it worse so I called to make an appointment. He had only one screen left and set it aside for me. I came in and handed over my phone and he got to work right away. He took one look and said it was a simple fix- just the protector was broken- not the expensive screen. I was so grateful for his honesty- he could have easily gone to a back room to do the work and charged me for a full replacement when I didn't need it. Wow, that was so easy! My little one broke the home button on my iphone by taking a pen to it, so my phone was unusable. We drove right down to the shop. We waited while the customer before me had his phone repaired, but that was only about 10/15 minutes, and he pleasantly greeted us beforehand. I shattered my iPhone 6 screen and was quoted $200 by my insurance for a replacement. The iPhone Doctor replaced my screen in about 15 minutes for $120. ... Weeks later, I noticed the screen started to pop out, so I went back to see him and he gladly replaced the whole thing again, no charge. Unfortunately, weeks later, the same thing happened again. I didn't bother going back. In conclusion, the iPhone Doctor is definitely a lower cost alternative for screen replacement if you did not purchase AppleCare. Buyer BEWARE- My new replacement screen is NOT made by Apple. I took my iPhone to the Apple Store and the tech told me that they quickly noticed after opening the iPhone that the screen is definitely not an Apple part. ..........So if you bought your iPhone less than one year ago, and you do get replacement parts from iPhone Doctor, then your one-year warranty is VOID. My wife's iPhone power button died and this guy was the only service in the are who had the part in-stock to fix it. My wife wasn't entirely comfortable after finding out that this business was in a private residence, but she was desperate to get her phone fixed ASAP. He took the phone as the appointed time and came back about 20 minutes later announcing that it was fixed. When he demonstrated the fix, the button didn't work -- to his surprise! So during re-assembly something went wrong. He said he would need another $22.00 to open up the phone again and fix the problem -- assuming it's fixable. I don't believe he should have charged us anything extra because it appears to be a reassembly mistake. Again, out of desperation, we paid the man! Now, a couple of weeks later, the phone still works, so I do recommend this guy. But if a similar situation arises for you, I wouldn't agree to pay him extra to fix his own mistake. read more
