The brisket is the reason I keep coming back. I usually go fatty, and it's got that dark peppery bark and stays so tender you barely need to chew it. I've eaten a lot of brisket around here over the years and theirs is still the one I measure everything else against. You cannot skip the Texas Twinkies either. It's a whole jalapeño stuffed with brisket and cream cheese, then wrapped in thick bacon, and it's every bit as ridiculous as it sounds in the best way. Grab a jalapeño cheddar sausage link and some mac and cheese on the side and you're set. The line can get long on weekends but it moves fast and it's worth the wait every time. Located in a repurposed turn of the century building,it's got a cool vibe that even works at breakfast. I was surprised how busy they were for a Monday.
