Prior to pick up, it would of been helpful if the lady would of gave me a heads up on the parking situation. The store is on busy Ventura Blvd, which is all metered parking - good luck basically if you come here on a weekend, which I did. The day I show up there's no spots near & I ended up parking in loading which made me so paranoid of getting a ticket. I ended up asking the employee if I can park in the back & she said I could go around. Good thing I did because this car seat was HEAVY & BARELY fit in the car. I also did look around the store to see what else they have for sale. This truly is an infant store. You won't find toddler clothing or toys. All the merchandise is specifically geared towards infancy, which is nice, especially for first time parents who need all the things. I was underwhelmed, & felt a bit frustrated wishing they had more for toddlers. All in all, this is a great shop if you're looking for strollers, car seats, or cribs !!! I'd been aware of this store for a while and always figured it was Korean-owned, as "eggy" sounds like the Korean word for "baby." This suspicion was confirmed when I met the owner a few years ago (I'm friends with her cousin, it turns out). I went for the first time last month, to exchange a gift from his Aunty Carol and Uncle Kevin: a soft, adorable sleeper that I wanted to get in a bigger size (they got him a really nice wooden dancing alligator toy too, also from Eggy). The sales lady was very helpful. She found the order and looked for the sleeper, but unfortunately, it didn't come in the size I needed. I returned the sleeper for store credit, which I immediately spent--and then some--and then some more--on a whole fall wardrobe for my son. The store was just so attractive, and so full of stylish, high quality clothes, I went full Pretty Woman on the baby boy racks. I pulled item after item (including a complete three-piece outfit as modeled by one of the little mannequins) and the sales lady brought me everything they had in my kid's size. At one point, I made her look at pictures of him and she--a woman who sells expensive children's clothes to L.A. parents!--said, "You're obsessed." I ended up buying a bunch of clothes, which I realized as I was leaving are likely to go on sale by the time my son is big/cold enough to wear them in a couple of months. My mother would be ashamed of me, but I couldn't resist, and I'll be back to Eggy to get more nice clothes for my beautiful boy.

We figured "why not?" even though the clothes were not our style, and surprisingly, the clothes looked great. They fit in a more flattering way than clothes from chain stores like Forever 21 or H&M, and the saleswoman also brought us accessories to play with our looks. It was like having our own personal stylist. In the end we decided to buy way more than we had originally planned. We went up to the register, and the accessories did not have prices on them. The saleswoman said she'd give us a good price, and she wrote down how much things would cost. I had two dresses from the 50% off rack, and she said only one was actually on sale. The other she gave me a $10 discount. I was confused but I let her ring me up. Afterwards, I walked back to the sales rack and I showed her the same dress was there, and she said it was there by mistake. It all seemed really strange to me, but my sister and I just paid and left. I was still bothered by what happened, so I checked the tags of the two dresses I thought was on sale. The one she said was on the rack by mistake had a red line through it. The one she gave me for a discount had no line through it. It was all so weird that I let it go. My sister decided to check her bag, and she saw on her receipt that the woman had charged her $10 more than what she had quoted to her. We returned to the store and told the saleswoman what happened. She apologized and said she couldn't give us money back from the credit card machine without her manager, but she allowed us to take an accessory to make up for the difference. While in the store, I saw that the dress that I had received for 50% that was previously on the clearance rack was now on a regular priced rack. The whole scenario reminded me of that scene in "Legally Blonde" where the saleswoman thinks Elle is a sucker and clips off the sales tag for a last season item. It's a shame. If the store was clearer with their pricing, then I would go back because the clothes are so stylish, but because of how I felt leaving the store, I will never go back.

He even told my sister she needed to "make up her mind" and wouldn't let her try on a dress unless she said she was 100% sure she wanted to buy it. That is completely unreasonable. I had to practically beg him to let my sister try on a black version of a dress, and even then he complained again. There was no assistance at all-no one helped us zip dresses, no one offered suggestions, and when I asked about different designs, I received zero help. The owner and his staff have terrible customer service. At that point, we just walked out in silence. Save yourself the frustration and don't come here.

When you're making a purchase of over $1,000 for a CHAIR, you expect a certain level of attentiveness and care. This was far from it. Even asking a simple question of how the item is shipped/delivered (after purchase, mind you) was treated by this associate like we were morons who didn't know their ABCs. It was incredible. *NEWSFLASH: Amazon sells Babyletto. If the model and color I wanted had been available, I would have gladly ordered it there instead-- quicker delivery and ZERO attitude from a disinterested employee. No customer should be made to feel like an inconvenience, especially when making a big purchase. If a commission was earned on my sale, it certainly wasn't due to any effort on their part.
