Loved the free gift wrapping here. Eco-friendly and so pretty!
    Whitney L.

This is the perfect place to get baby shower and birthday gifts that are affordable and eco-friendly. It's also lovely if you have gently used items to sell on consignment in exchange for store credit. I was looking for a shop that carried natural products for children that I could gift for a birthday, and I hit the jackpot here. It was better in person than I imagined! This store is so well organized (by gender and age range) and there's truly something for everyone (even parents). I could have spent hours in here going through every item, but since I was short on time I asked for helped. The owner, Missy, kindly helped me pick out the perfect gifts and another staff member wrapped them in beautiful bags (free of charge). I couldn't believe how low the total was for a bunch of fantastic gifts! You can find second-hand and brand new clothing, toys and accessories. I purchased a new botanical candle that smelled divine, a darling second-hand dress for a newborn, a wonderful eco-friendly toy kit, a pack of reusable food pouches, and a second-hand book that looked brand new. What could have cost me upwards of $80 at high-end kid's stores or natural parenting shops totaled just about $40 including beautiful wrapping. My friend loved everything. This is my new go-to store for baby showers, children's birthdays and special occasions. There are so many lovely gifts here, it's a one-stop shop! The staff is incredibly friendly and helpful. Next time I'm giving myself an hour minimum to really take in everything this store has to offer.

The PERFECT summer dress for an outdoor wedding. Thanks Grow Kid Grow!

Recycled children's clothing is such a brilliant concept! The store only sells wooden toys. Amazing pricing too!

Raggedy Threads is my favorite vintage store in L.A. - no contest. Don't let this tiny little store…read more- located in a tiny little corner of Little Tokyo - fool you: It's like a treasure trove of rare finds. I've been on a huge vintage kick lately, so this store has been my go-to source for old tees. My reasons for going vintage are primarily environmental since the carbon footprint and resources needed to make new clothes are substantial - and incredibly wasteful when there's so much awesome used clothing out there. Another reason: Your friends can't copy your style. Most recently, I picked up a few tees from the 1970s and 80s. Being in L.A. they get a lot of local and California vintage shirts with logos, designs, and jokes that only true Californians would get. I couldn't resist buying a Castroville "Giant Artichoke" tee they had over the summer. Personally, I tend to gravitate towards regional finds like these because they bring back such great memories of my youth and of family road trips up and down my home state. They also carry old college (Go Bears!), high school, and everyone's favorite - summer camp tees. Plus, you cannot beat the vintage fit from the 70s/80s. Caveat: Today's "S" is equivalent to an "M" or bigger because people were presumably thinner back then. So do your part for the environment and look effortlessly stylish doing it by shopping used and vintage! And there's no better place in L.A. for this than Raggedy Threads.
