I must brag on the service at Tom's Tire Pros I used to take my car to a dealership in town and really thought they were good until I discovered they had lied to me about some routine car care that they said they did, only to find out later it was, in fact, never done. They will remain nameless. It is not my nature to slam a business. Personally, it shook my confidence and trust, though. Fast forward. Had to buy four new tires after the discovery of the "false care" from them. My son recommended Tom's Tire Pros, so I bought them there. I had to charge them so had all of the road hazard insurance added. Then, I called and had the wheels aligned there and decided to go there for my oil change. The alignment and the oil change cost less than I had paid at other places in the past. The topper came this week, though. I had been hearing a loud squeak in the springs or frame or whatever??? I took it up to them to ask if someone could drive it around slowly and listen to it to see if it could be fixed or what it would cost. One of the shop guys did just that and came in and was telling the service writer what he did. I walked up and asked him to tell me. He said it was the stabilizer that was squeaking and something about struts?? I'm a girly girl so understood some of it, but bottom line, I could replace something or other, but it would be fine without it. He greased the squeaking really well, with it on the lift rack and it was gone. There would still be a popping in the something?? I never heard that to begin with, and haven't still.? So, I asked the mechanic if he would replace the part and he said no. I said okay, I'm not. The replaced thing was $600. I went to pay, and they both said " No Charge "!! I tried to tell them thank you but could hardly get the words out with out crying I told them how much it means to me to be able to trust a business like theirs again!!! Love the guys at Tom's. Was a little bit of a wait today. I was there about 3 hours to have a new set of tires mounted balanced and a front end alignment done. To be fair they were really busy and they had quit a few ahead of me. They do have a comfortable waiting area with water coffee TV and free wifi. I bought in my old Saturn Vue to Michael and the guys up at TTP thinking the car's comfort and stability was unsalvageable. Much to my surprise they called me and told me that it was nothing more than the sway bar links being rusted out. They fixed em and now the Vue rides like a Cadillac, comparatively. I couldn't be more pleased with the responsiveness of these guys either! They get things done and don't waste anyone's time. They are also very willing to admit if they could be at fault for something, for instance, they also changed out one of my break sensors while working on the sway bars and about 50 miles down the road the sensor came back on. I called Michael and he told me to bring it back in so they could change it out. They did it free of charge!! I was back a few months later for new tires. They do a great job and I highly recommend the guys at Tom's Tire Pro's. For one, they are a family owned company, even though it's a franchise. This is also a huge advantage because all of the other TTP in the nation will honor whatever warranty plan you have. It's in my opinion a step above the other guys and they offer more of a personal touch. If you're shopping prices, they will often times either match it or explain the subtle differences which usually comes down to the amount of coverage they offer by default. You get what you pay for. So...I came in, I was greeted by Tom (I guess he's owner of the place) "He ask me what can we help you with?" I told him that my drivers side rear tires is flat or has a slow leak. They took care of me right way; It was pretty decent wait; I got in. I got out. Kinda thing. And best part is!!!! I didn't have to pay for the tire repair. I ordered a rim and tire over the phone and received a great deal. I was told that I would be at the shop the following day and then I can come pick it up. I waited until 4:45 p.m. to go pick it up which was a bad idea. They were short-handed in the front and overwhelmed with customers. I decided to come back the following morning to pick up the tire knowing that it would be easier to talk to the staff. They took care of me in a fast and hospitable manner. 2 months ago I took our vehicles in to have front end alignment they looked at my vehicle and informed me that my tie rod ends needed replaced. I called an auto parts store and inquired what the cost of those parts would be, inner and outer. The cost would be approximately $150. 00 for parts. From previous experience I know that labor would run about double that, up or down a little. When Tom's called called with a quote of $975.00, I nearly fainted. Told them to park it and not touch it, when I got a quote on $450.00 from another garage I knew that the first quote was severely over inflated. I'm a woman who is fairly familiar with automobiles and their running shoes, thanks to my dad. This just proves that some businesses see women as targets to gouge and overcharge. Tom's is the only place I go for new tires, flat repair or vehicle maintenance needs anymore. I have always had extremely good experiences with both Tom and his staff. Having been a customer for the last 10 years plus, I have seen his staff members change from time to time, but their commitment to providing quality service has never changed. Their pricing has always been competitive with other local tire shops and have more often than not, they were cheaper priced. It is always nice to know that if you have a question about your car, truck or tires, they always do their best to give you a fair and honest answer. Tom cares about his customers, he always has. It very apparent when you are waiting for your truck to get done and he takes the time to make sure you are being taken care of. The best part is that they are local owners, who live and support the community were they work. Too many businesses can't say the same anymore. Timeliness has not been a factor and the owner genuinely seems to care about his customers. However, we made three visits to fix the same tire within weeks of each other. Wife took it to another location last week to get tire checked, they could not find a nail but aired it up for her since it was so low. I took it in next business day after airing up twice over the weekend and they say they found another nail and couldn't repair it. I can't definitively pin it on the business as a whole. It just makes me wonder if some of the employees aren't practicing great work ethic and are being careless. . .Can't say for certain. Almost 5 hours to replace one tire and do a state inspection? I was quoted 20 minute on the phone.... 2 hours worst worst case scenario once I had already handed over my keys in store... 5 hours later it was finally done. There are far too many tire shops around to deal with BS like I dealt with today. Unless you wanna waste an entire Saturday getting a tire changed, avoid this place like the plague. The only one who was apologetic and not a complete dick was Roan I believe? The owner Tom went to hide in his office when I asked what took so long and the big blonde kid got an attitude when I started complaining. I would not recommend/ or trust with any lift kit components for your truck. I had a 4inch Fabtech lift placed on my brand new 2018 Chevrolet Silverado Truck and Jay placed the wrong wheels Luxx XD LHD 8 20x9 with a +12 offset and tires General Grabber X 3 33x12.50R 20 on my truck along with didn't fully bolt down my shocks under the bed of my truck costing me over $4000 more dollars for the right equipment. I've been calling and calling to get in contact with him about this issue and its been 1 solid year and I still haven't heard anything from him. They've answered the phone and I was told we will call you back and never had a call returned. When I was stationed in Abilene from 2013 -2015 I did a lot of business with these guys and now that I live in San Antonio, due to military move this is how was treated. Absolutely superb service!! Took my 2014 Chevy Silverado 1500 to them and they completely made it over and it looks amazing!! Great price and support for wheels, tires, lift kit, cold air intake, exhaust, programmer, and black out lights!! Left it with them for the week I was on vacation to have all the work done and they were done ahead of promised time and not only that, put gas in it for me and cleaned the truck inside and out! Do not go here! I recently went to this place. I asked them to look over the tires and everything because of a lateral vibration around 45-60 mph. I purchased new tires and they said their alignment machine was booked up for the day. I scheduled an appointment for 2 days later to align the wheels. When I got there they told me their alignment machine was still being used. After waiting an hour an half. They put the car on the machine for 5 minutes. Took it off drove it to the parking lot. The associate said the tire rods were bad. Why did they not notice this two days ago when I asked them to check the vehicle. He quoted me an astronomical amount and I left. Do not go here!! They will over charge and try to get as much money out of you as they can On a unrelated note to the customer service to top it all off: I had a to go box with a half a sandwich from Jason's deli in the passenger seat because I had just came from lunch. When I got back in the car there was a big greasy print on the box like it had been opened. Classy guys. read more

Bought a set of tires here and paid for an alignment as I've always heard that you should get it done after replacing 4 tires. The alignment guy apparently didn't do anything because the car had a pull to the left and the steering wheel was off center a bit with the old tires.... exact same when I got the car back... centering the steering wheel is step one in an alignment??? So I wasted that $70. They then stopped responding to my emails when I asked about it (that was the form of communication we used because I had used the online ordering system since the tires I wanted were not in stock... and they were responsive via email before getting my $$$). I could've called or driven back up there and threw a fit, but I'm not going to chase a business down for customer service when they stop responding... I'll just remember where not to go next time. I took my car to the local independent repair shop I typically use for repairs and got it back in a couple hours tracking perfectly and with the steering wheel straight. read more

I was traveling through Abilene Saturday and I was towing a trailer about 4 hours from home when one of my trailer tires blew out. I pulled over and took the wheel off of my trailer when I found out my spare was the wrong bolt pattern, So I very slowly pulled the trailer on 3 wheels until I found Toms Tire Pros just before 3pm. The man at the front desk watched me barely limp my truck and trailer into the parking lot. I was releived that i had made it somewhere that could help me. When I went inside the man behind the desk in the cool air conditioning proceeded to tell me that they closed in a little more than an hour, and that he could not take care of me. The place was dead! only one person inside that I saw at the time. I explained that I was stranded 4 hours from home and that I just needed one new tire and he didn't seem to care so I asked him if their was a real tire shop in town and he directed me to Discount Tire. Which I assume is your biggest competitor in town. I hobbled my 3 wheeled trailer 3 more blocks to Discount and their parking lot was COMPLETELY FULL and had at least ten times the customers. The guys at Discount Tires had us back on the road before Toms Tire Pros closed at 4pm. Thanks for nothing I will not be back. Discount Tires won this customer and anyone I know for life. If you Dont want to work until 4pm on Saturday then you should close at 3pm. read more
