    Dip with gel overlay manicure.

The lady was so nice and they were welcoming when I walked it. That's why I did give two stars, but the nails looked horrible and I wanted to cry. It was already 8pm when they finished and I just wanted to leave. I was a walk in, so I probably got the lady who doesn't specialize in what I wanted. I knew as soon as she put the dip powder on that it wasn't going to be right. I had her do a few corrections along the way, but it was just all bad. This is only after two days! I'm very disappointed that they would even let me leave like this. Very nice, but they need to have all workers truly be nail specialists. I have seen some people leave with very nice nails, you just need to know who you are going to have ahead of time.

I understand your manicure is $10 however you should do a better job, Jen rush on it and at the end she told me that isn't going to last long and to not complain. Maybe charge clients a bit more and offer a better manicure. I expect a $10 manicure when you charge $10, however this time isn't a $10 manicure. I could have done a better job myself. She didn't even took her time filling my nails. At the end of you want to get your cuticles clean this is the place to come. Didn't expect a great mani.

I'm in the car on my way to a trip and left the nail salon 3 hours ago. I got a fill for acrylic nails and this is the first time I've ever seen or heard of a nail breaking the same day it's done..... very disappointing. The woman also did not understand what coffin nails were even though I was trying to explain it to her. I told her that my nail tech usually puts more pressure when filing the nail for the dramatic shape and she told me to go to that nail tech then. She told me to file my own nail so I was trying to show her how to do it and then she expected me to continue to do the nails, I told her if I wanted to do that I could have filed my own nails at home without acrylic.

Nail tech dug under REAL NAIL while taking off acrylics

Absolutely never come here, if I could give 0 stars I would. I went here with a friend so she could get her acrylics off, and the lady doing her nails seemed agitated and was visibly rushing the job. After soaking the nails in acetone for what was obviously not long enough of a time, she began digging at the nails in attempt to scrape off the acrylic. Not only is this terrible as its common knowledge that acrylic cannot be forced off of your nails without damaging the nail as its much too strong without being properly soaked in acetone, she dug UNDER the real nail bed, cutting open the flesh and causing it to bleed, as seen in the first picture. As if the open wound wasn't enough, she didn't even properly get the acrylic off of the rest of the nails, as seen in the second picture. Horrible experience, seriously do not come here unless you want to be literally cut and not even get a semi-adequate job. There are so many other affordable, great quality places such as Glossy Nails that I'm not even sure how this place is in business.

Ask for VIVI she's the best. She's so friendly and she takes her time with you and makes sure your nails are PERFECT!!! I used to live across the street and I moved, but I still come back when I need my nails and my eyebrows done. She is a perfectionist and she won't let you leave without making sure you look good!

I had one of the best French manicures and pedicures in my 20 years of getting my nails done. Van had such a gentle touch, pleasant smile and welcoming personality. The appointment was never confirmed and when I showed up saying I had scheduled an appointment, the staff were confused. I decided to cut my losses, forgo my own manicure, and just have my daughter get her nails done. When I told them I wanted to get just my daughter's nails done, they tried to direct her towards the gel polish colors--she's 8 and way too young for gel (most places recommend 16+ for gel). Gel is also $55, whereas a kids manicure was listed as $17. I told them and my daughter that we were not getting gel and redirected my daughter to the standard polishes. They said that they recommended gel for her because she is a kid and it was more durable. I said, "no gel," and my daughter pointed to a standard polish she wanted to wear. They took her over to one of the manicure tables and sat her down, then walked away to get the folder of samples for gel colors. Again, I had to tell them I did NOT want gel for my 8 year old!! I should have left after this because they were not respecting my "no", but I didn't want to ruin it for my daughter. After saying no for the third time, they took my daughter back over to the regular polishes to get the one she wanted and had already picked out (and pointed to and showed them prior to sitting down at the table). When they took her back to the table, they asked me if I wanted to get a pedicure (even though I had already said "no" to getting any services done for me). They the asked me if I wanted her cuticles cut, and explained that a base manicure was $10, but cuticles cut was an extra $8 (NOTE: this did NOT match the price on their service list, which said a kids manicure for was $17). My daughter has never had this done before, so I asked her if she was interested in trying it and let her know that sometimes it can hurt (for various reasons from sensitive nails to not soaking the cuticles for long enough, etc.). My daughter looked scared and said, "no." So I told them we were not interested in getting her cuticles cut. The lady said, "you're cheap, but that's okay." I know there are some language differences, but they acted like it was an inconvenience to do a basic service that took them less than 10 minutes to do. As if they would rather have sat there doing nothing than preform the service. And respecting what my daughter wants doesn't make me "cheap". And I declined services for myself in the first place because they didn't have the appointment and clearly weren't organized and wouldn't listen to me. I just wanted to get the nails painted and get the hell out of there. The manicure itself was fine. They filled her nails, buffed them, did a single coat of glitter polish (the coverage was good for one coat), and did a top coat (again, this took maybe 5 minutes to do all this). I went to pay and they charged my card, then handed me the receipt to sign. I put down that I wanted to tip (despite my best judgement) and the lady kept asking me for cash for the tip instead of charging it to the card. I told her that I didn't have cash, and she said, "it's fine." I'm not sure how that was 'fine' but the charge hasn't yet posted to my account so we'll see what happens. Manicure was fine...not a great experience overall.

Allure Nail Bar in Burke, VA was the MOST disgusting nail bar I have ever been to. I read good…read morereviews about Allure and thought I would try it out. What a complete disappointment. First off, the nail technicians that worked with me were very nice. So, I am sorry to throw them under the bus here. That was the only positive thing I can reveal about this place. From the moment I set foot in the nail bar, there were 3 nail technicians just sitting around chatting; no one greeted me until I stood at the counter for 10 minutes. The technicians just sitting and staring at me, said nothing, like, "Hello, welcome to Allure." After 15 minutes, I had several technicians try to rush me to pick a color and then disappeared when I was looking at the nail kiosks. Other nail technicians came by to ask me what I wanted then they also disappeared when I showed them a picture of what I had hoped to do with my nails and toes. One of the technicians waved her arms at to small kiosks and a display and said those kiosks (and display) were the only Gel colors available to me for what I wanted. When I picked out several of the colors, they told me they did not have them. Then, again, the technician waved her arms over the kiosks and display. Then, there was the issue of clear communication. Finally, I had to ask if I would be able to speak with someone in English because no one else was able to communicate with me (and I am not being mean here...I support cultural diversity and I love Vietnamese people and I was an ESOL teacher for 20+ years, so it is not a negative dig). Finally, I decided to go with a simple color that was available, but that was just the start of the horror. One huge red flag were the nasty nail polishes. These bottles of polish were like those out of a garbage can. They looked as if they had NEVER been cleaned---EVER; sticky gross caked on polish (all over the bottles) with visible handprints on the plastic bottle brush tops almost made me want to throw up. The polishes in the clear boxes were ALL disgustingly used 1000 times without ever being wiped down or thoroughly cleaned; the polish used on my feet was sticky and caked all over the top of the bottle, and the technician had to keep shaking the bottle to get polish out. It looked like the dregs of the dregs. I was so disgusted and disturbed by the polishes, I should have just walked out right then and there. Next, the filthy pedicure area was a sight. The chair arm rest table looked like someone had just eaten their lunch there and just left the grossness all over the little space. No one bothered to clean up. Maybe those three technicians just sitting around chatting could have done some clean up! Then I was told that the $60 Gel pedicure did not include taking off my two small toe calluses. This could easily be done with a scraper in two seconds, but it would have cost me another $15.00. I was dumbfounded that it was not included in the pedicure like it is at every other nail bar. My feet looked like ass despite the pedicure since calluses remained on the big toes. Unsightly! The technician's product and tool caddie were also filthy. There were crumbs on the surface, crud all over the products, other peoples' skin, dirt, and pieces of nail all visible on the surface. Some of the products had broken pump tops. Most alarming was that there was no visible antiseptic cleaner anywhere where tools are normally kept in jars. Nothing about that area was clean or looked like that it was even a priority. I am praying that I do not get some toe or foot fungus from that place! After the pedicure, I went over to have my nails done (Acrylic Gel). The nail bar was also just as disappointing and disgusting. Nail powder-dust everywhere, the technician's tools to remove the polish (sanding-file heads) were sitting in a gross, blackened, very unclean shot glass along with super glue tubes. The tools were clearly unorganized, uncleaned, and non- anti-bacterialized. The jar of the acrylic powder was so off putting (never ever cleaned or wiped down---crud all over the jars lid and around the threads of the jar were caked with grunge) and all lumpy. This gross acrylic powder display was in tandem with the dubious, cloudy, purple liquid whose jar was equally covered in filth. The technician then pulled out some random fat brush from a dirty drawer of tools and other junk. I was frozen in fear. Lastly, the UV light lamp was so crusty that when I placed my hands in it (like a cubby hole) I could feel the crumbly, lumpy, bumpy crud under my palms from so many who came before me. It is unfathomable that Allure Nail Bar in Burke, VA is not shut down for its terrible management for gross negligence in cleanliness and open display of filth in their products and their pedicure and manicure stations. Please DO NOT waste your health and money in this cesspool.
