I went to My Oasis Spa, because I purchased a deal on living social for $19 for an hour reflexology session. Since this was my first reflexology experience, I thought it was OK; it was not what I expected; I was looking forward to having my stress areas (neck and shoulders) worked on. The focus during my session was on feet, arms, legs and head, the therapist did spend equal amounts of time on each area which was good. My only complaint is that I could constantly hear the phone ringing in the other room as well as the cars passing by. Would I go again, perhaps for a different service, since their pricing is reasonable, and I live in the area. read more

Don't waist your time and money. I bought a groupon and when I showed up to my appointment no one was there. I waited for about 30-45 minutes during this time I called multiple times and no responded (remember this for later in my review). I eventually received a call back after leaving multiple messages and I was give a BS excuse. Rather than deal with the refund process I decided to rescheduled. Nancy sounded very promising and I wanted to give her a second chance. I called the day before my appointment to confirm my appointment because I didn't want to repeat my first attempt. When I showed up to my appointment I was taken to the room and asked to undress (typical of a full body massage) and to get under the sheet on the massage table. After about 5 minutes Nancy came into the room and brought someone to watch that she said she was going to be training and asked if I minded. There is not much you can say half naked and face down on the table so I said no. During the massage she talked the whole time and was distracted by knocks on the front door and phone calls taking up to 5 minutes at a time. She was quick to apologize for answering her phone because as she said "that is how my costumes contact me." Yet she couldn't answer my phone that day I showed up and the door was locked. After about 4 phone calls and a number of distractions not to mention the training session talking my massage was finished. As I dressed to leave I saw the clocked read 11:58 when I was scheduled for a 11:00 am 60 minute full body massage. With the distractions, the training she was giving, and the phone calls I'm pretty sure I got about a 30 minute massage. I'm never going here again I got a much better massage and experience at Greenleaf spa for the same price without a groupon price discount. The music was bad and the oil she used was very effective. The whole experience was bad. If I could I would give my Ossis spa a negative 3 stars. read more

Service is the best! Also My Oasis is one of the best you can give to yourself or to someone else. Also the staff is exceptional and the location is great. 1 star only because it doesn't let you do less than that. I am pretty disappointed. My experience at this location was not great. Facial was pretty much lotion being rubbed on your face. And massage was not a complete 90 minutes. I got a back scrub but my partner didn't. Customer service gets no stars due to employee constantly looking at their phone every time it rang during the session. read more

Today was my first visit to My Oasis. I had a bad day at work and almost cancelled my appointment, but decided to go anyway. I am very happy that I did. I went there with no expectations, not really knowing what to expect. Plus I was in a bad/bitchy mood. It is nice, but small. Lights are dim and everyone whispers. The mood is very relaxing with music, candles, water fountain, etc. As another person commented, from time to time, you can hear traffic outside and it was distracting a few times, but not bad. They have 4 zero gravity chairs there and all were full with new people coming in. They recline you in the zero gravity chair, place a warm blanket on you, a warm lavender infused eye pillow on. Next is an aromatherapy treatment. They start with your feet. The reflexology/massage is fantastic. It seemed to go on forever. After that, the hands, which also was great. After that, they do the pressure points on your ears. After 1 hour of this treatment, the bitchy mood was gone. I was completely relaxed, rested, and floating on a cloud. When I was there, there was a 50/50 mix of men and women clients there. The $25 1 hour package is worth it. You will enjoy the experience and your stress will melt away. Oasis is nice, small, and cute, but not a plush luxurious place. Will go back again and will recommend to friends and co-workers. Their website needs help and appears not to be a finished product. Hopefully they will fix it soon. read more

I do not recommend my oasis spa. The massages are great the facials are great but the owner is thumbs down. For some reason she insists on coming into the massage room to get supplies WITHOUT KNOCKING. It has happened every time I have gone. One time I was just barely covering my naked body. Other people would have seen me completely naked if she had opened any sooner. It is extremely annoying and intrusive and not respectful of clients' privacy. For this reason alone I stopped going there. It is a shame because everything else is great! But thanks to her it's not worth it to me. It doesn't end there. My sister who referred me to oasis is a long time customer. We always use groupon. But every time we go we get some kind of recommendation not to use groupon because it's the same price. Blah blah I don't get it. Then lately every time my sister uses groupon they schedule an appointment and when she gets there they say they are overbooked. She loves this spa and has been a very good and loyal customer and this is how they treat her! Unbelievable! I felt so bad that she has not been able to enjoy her usually wonderful spa experience. And she has also mentioned to me how she is annoyed as well when the owner comes in to the massage unannounced and making a bunch of noise getting supples but that she just puts up with it. Also they say don't throw toilet paper the toilet!?? Excuse me? Ridiculous. I am only writing this now because I will never buy another groupon for this place again. It's a scam. read more

I was very disappointed, I had booked my massage with a male masseuse, but when I get there I waited for 15 min. As I'm sitting there I hear giggling around the corner, this young guy approaches me with his mouth full of food, while he is chewing with his mouth open and laughing and he tells me he is going to be the one who is going to give me my massage( all this while he has food in his mouth) I thought at first that it was a joke but no that is how he came to greet me. I thought this was very unprofessional. At that moment I had an un easy feeling and decided to skip the massage. Will not return to this place again, the staff is very unprofessional and have no sense of how to behave when a supervisor is not around. I guess you get what you pay for... read more

This is my opinion considering the negative experience I had at this place. I was deployed overseas and purchased a Groupon that offered a package with massage and facial, with hopes to be "pampered" after being away from home, in not such great conditions. Anyhow, on a Tuesday, I called to make an appointment, the lady on the other end of the phone, who had an Asian accent, seemed to be rushed; she scheduled me for the service I paid for via Groupon for that following Thursday, so I thought. Thursday evening came around, I had a long day at work, it was raining pretty bad; I drove from LAX area to Whittier, the spa. I arrive and first of all no one was at the lobby or counter, I wait for about 5-10 minutes, then this lady, Asian lady walks in the back door, seeming very uneasy or anxious. She asked me if I needed help, I responded with "I have an appointment at 5pm", she asked me to have a seat. She just sat in one of the couches, playing with her iPad. It was about 5:15pm, an older man arrives and I guess she was waiting for him; she got up and left with him; she didn't say anything to me. It is now 5:30pm, I am still not acknowledged. A girl comes out of one of the service rooms, I speculate, she just finished providing service to someone. She asked if I had been helped. I told her "no", I had an appointment for 5pm and had been there since 4:45pm. She seemed unaware; she checked her computer, and didn't see me scheduled. She told me I was probably going to have to reschedule. She called someone, it happened to be the owner, Nancy. She confirmed that I would have to reschedule. Anyhow, long story, short, I spoke with Nancy the following day and she was very defensive, promised me a service, but definitely NOT what I paid for. I had to go back two times. One thing, the massage was good, the second service SUCKED, a peel/facial!!!???!! I could have washed my face and felt better. Anyhow, her promises and defensive demeanor is extremely unprofessional. I WILL NEVER go there as long as Nancy is the owner of that SPA. read more

SCAM/RIP OFF!! My son purchased $100 gift certificate for a couples massage from My Oasis Spa for a Christmas present for his father and I. The gift certificate had no expiration date and we tried to redeem them well within the year. However, when I called to book our appointments I was told that they would not honor them. I was informed that they were under new management but they are clearly still doing business as My Oasis Spa. I was told a manager would call me to discuss this matter which never happened. I called again and was told nothing would be done. I feel like this is flat out theft! How do you take someone's money they've paid you for a service you never provide?? How many other gift certicates did they take money for and not let the person redeem? Even though this happened a while ago I felt compelled to post this to warn others so you can avoid spending your or someone else's hard earned money at this place!! read more

I came here based on a Groupon deal. It was such a great deal for a stone massage, body scrub and a facial....all for one low price. The place was hidden and I had a little problem finding the place. I wanted to take my husband of 7 years to his first massage/facial. I love to pamper myself and thought it was a great way to celebrate our anniversary. Wow!! I was wrong!! It was the worse experience ever. John was really late, so I was getting a facial while my husband was falling asleep waiting for John. I could not enjoy nor relax because I kept worrying about John's tardiness. Jessica rushed through the facial and she went on and on and on about not buying through Groupon. She was trying to make me feel bad. She was very annoying and hard to understand (heavy accent). John finally showed up, and man let me tell you, he would not stop talking. When Jessica stepped out for a second he quickly asked me if I liked the way Jessica was massaging me, kind of like he was competing against her. No competition, they were both equally awful. Jessica rushed through the massage. At one point she hurt me and I told her she needed to slow down and she did, for a second and she was off and rushing again. Someone kept coming into our room and talking to both John and Jessica which I found very disrespectful and showed no concern for our privacy. Oh, Jessica was rushing so much she hit my "cookie" and my head a few times. I wanted to get up and walk out but again, it was our anniversary and I didn't want to ruin my husband's first massage. I would not recommend this place to anyone. Unprofessional, unfriendly, inexperienced and down right awful. Save your money. I would rather go to Renew Massage in Whittier. Alicia W. read more

I had the worst experience here with the scheduling. I ordered a Groupon for my boyfriend and I anniversary. A couples massage scheduled for a Friday, which I called in on Wednesday to book it. On Friday morning we're having a lovely breakfast before we go into our massages, during breakfast I get a call from Jennifer saying they are short staffed and will not be able to accommodate a couples massage that day but that they will be open Saturday and if I wanted to reschedule. She said they had an open appointment for 12pm or if I wanted to go earlier they had one at 10am. We chose the 10am since it was New Year's Eve and we can have the rest of the afternoon available. Woke up that morning even showed up earlier then 10am, I told Tonya (this lady was so UNPROFESSIONAL, she was walking around bare foot and her scrubs were wrinkly and dirty. She looked like she just woke up) we had a couples massage at 10am. By this time the owner came out of a room and greeted my boyfriend and I, she was very friendly. They told us to wait because their other masseuse was running late and wasn't there yet. We were fine with that. During that time Tonya or Latoya (can't remember her name, I was so pissed) whispered to the owner in front of my boyfriend and I asking for money because she had to pay her rent, the owner got upset and said " I'm with a customer right now, can't you see" (she was doing microblading in another room but kept coming in and out of it). About 10mins of waiting another couple walked in and said they had a couples massage scheduled for 10am as well. Tonya/Latoya started to panic because someone overbooked and she made it clear to us that it wasn't her but blaming the other masseuse that hasn't showed up yet, her name was Jennifer. She checked the computer and said that my appointment was for 12pm not 10am. I replied to her that I had spoken to Jennifer and told her I wanted to do it at 10am and that the day before I did schedule it for 12pm but they canceled on me. Tonyas/Latoyas response was " well idk you guys are going to have to work something out" looking at the other couple and me. I instantly started getting upset, how is a lack of communication on THEIR part a customers problem??? I was pissed. I even told her " how is that our problem? " and she said " well it's not my problem. " The owner kept apologizing for what was happening and Tonya/Latoya back talking to a customer. I was appalled on how rude she was and she's suppose to be a masseuse and help me relax? Hell no!! I'm not letting this rude lady touch me with her bad energy. Tonya/Latoya then started saying " you can work this out with Jennifer since she was the one that told you that." She then went to the other couple and gave them papers to sign and setting them up for the massage, and ignoring the fact that my boyfriend and I were there. We left the building, I called Groupon right away and asked for my money back. I did not want to continue with this place. I understand that mistakes happen and I honestly would have been okay with waiting another 2hrs to get our massages that I was sooo looking forward too, I'm 7 months pregnant and my body is just filled with aches and pain but TONYA/Latoya really needs to take some pointers on customer service, friendliness, cleanliness, and how to handle situations that put her under pressure. I feel like she made everything worse because she had a rude response. I also hate the fact that even though my boyfriend and I left, they never called to apologize for the mix up. This place was sooo unprofessional. read more

This is my second time getting a facial :) ... I was really nervous at first because I didn't know what to expect, but Jessica made me feel so comfortable she walked me through the whole process, and kept explain what she was doing and why ... Yeah so i definitely won't be a return customer here. Came in since i bought a groupon and its super close to home so i really wanted to like this place! Super unprofessional staff who were arguing and gossiping about eachother all while i was in the waiting room within earshot. Facial was decent but massage was by far the worst ive ever received. Tried all i could to relax but kept getting startled when the masseuse tried to make conversation. Plus the massage itself didnt feel good at all. Ive had a lot of massages before and this felt like she had little to no training. Dont waste your money here. read more

I called the day that my voucher was set to expire on the 7th of September and asked Nancy (owner) if she could fit me in, she informed she had an available slot. After I told her it was through Groupon she remembered she was booked. I insisted that I needed to get in on my expiration date and she informed me that she could get me in, in the next few days for an additional charge of $54 as she didn't give extensions on expired Groupons. And instead of 1.5 hours the session would now be 1 hour. I agreed and after a few failed attempts to get a hold of her in the following days as agreed, I personally went over there on the 10th of September. Upon meeting with Nancy she informed me that the price would be $80 as opposed to the $54 she previously quoted. She said that would be the only way to honor the Groupon voucher as that was her way to make up the difference (whatever that meant). On the condition that I pay the money there on the spot. I agreed and we scheduled and appointed for Sunday the 11th at 3:30pm. On Sunday at around 12pm, Nancy called to inform me that she was overbooked and the message therapist had just called out. She told me to try again next Sunday at 3:30pm. This generated a sense of disappointment, dissatisfaction and frustration as I took the day off of work to go there with my husband. I understand the coupon had expired but the bait and switch by Nancy is very unprofessional. read more

Look I'm not one to complain or write reviews, but I felt the need to after seeing all the other reviews, which only confirmed the poor service and unprofessionalism I experienced. The first thing as I walked in the door, the receptionist did not even greet me. I had to greet her! In addition, then the receptionist was like, "I don't see you here in the appointment book." Then she went on to call the manager I am assuming or massage therapist and asked her when she was going to arrive. Then receptionist told me to wait. She did not offer me water or something to read, she was just like, " wait." Then she was so unprofessional that she was calling her mother and father on the phone and talking in Spanish (which I understand) about getting her a car! She started yelling at her dad that she was responsible and worked two jobs, etc! Who does that? OMG? Then 25 minutes later the massage therapist finally arrived and took me into a super cold room. I had to ask her to please lower the air conditioner. Finally after lowering the air conditioner she gave me a hot stone massage and she burned me! Then she apologized and finished my massage. I had a groupon and had the massage, facial and back scrub. It was mediocre at best. Then after my massage the lady didn't even tell me what was going ot happen next, because normally they take you to another room to do a facial or at least tell you waht is happening next. Then the lady that gave me a facial was very rough, fast, and she kept telling me, "Look at my skin, I use nothing but sunblock and I don't wear makeup. My skin looks great!" Ok, so why are you telling me? You are doing a facial on my skin, I don't want to hear about your skin. Anyways this place was not good and I have been to many different massage places and spas before. Massage Envy is the best!!! No comparison. This place was pretty bad. Don't waste your time or money here. read more

I'm going to start off this review by stating that I've never felt the need to write a Yelp review before, until today happened. First off, it is IMPOSSIBLE to get ahold of this facility. I called 3 days straight and it went straight to voicemail. I was calling during business hours. The last day I left a voicemail with my name and phone number. I was calling to make an appointment for my mother because I had purchased this from groupon for her Mother's Day appointment. This was last week. Monday of this week comes along and I call again. Finally someone answered and I was so shocked. I made an appointment for my mother on her day off which is today (Wednesday) at 11:00. I left my name and my phone number and my moms name along with letting them know I purchased this coupon from groupon. They confirmed for Wednesday at 11. So today comes along and my mom calls me telling me she arrived and the door was locked from the facility. She said finally someone answered and she told them she has an appointment for 11. The lady told her to come back in 30 minutes because she was still with a client. My mother was upset because it was a 30 minute drive and she told her no she could not come back. My mother left very upset. I then called this facility and what happens? I get sent to voicemail. I call again and then I get hung up on without an answer. I called a third time and finally someone answered. I spoke in a calm matter letting the lady know what happened and then she responded with a loud tone and also defensive. She then told me my mom didn't have an appointment and I told her yes she does I called and left my number. She then began with a sob story and it sounded like she was crying. Over all this place is VERY unprofessional ! I would NOT recommend it to anyone. read more

GREATEST MASSAGE EVERRRRRRRRRR. I came in hear hoping to ease my back pain after tearing it up at the gym and found this place. At first I wasn't sure so i asked some of my gym rat friends if they ever came to this place, and they all said go for it and they weren't kidding. The place is a cozy place with relaxing music playing while you wait so the waiting rooms already kind of peaceful. After a very short wait I was greeted by a young woman with dyed hair named Gaby. Her hands I swear were made from a combination of surgeons and Gods hands mixed together. Seriously, I think her hands were more gentler than Jimi Hendrix's on Little Wing. Ever since my first visit I've been a frequent customer, all the massage therapists are great though. From Ruby, to Johnny, to Gaby and even the Owner. But I highly recommend Gaby. Also, as I always do now I suggest making appointments ahead of time with her because she's usually booked up for days in advance. So all in all I highly recommend this place. read more

Nope. I made an appt early in the week for a Thursday afternoon massage and facial. It was my friends birthday and she's a mom so I wanted to make sure she had a relaxing and nice day. After confirming our appt I had her arrange a sitter for her two kids so we could spend the day doing girly things. Fast forward to Thursday. I'm heading out the door to go and pick her up and I get a call from My Oasis. Seems they are understaffed for the day and they need to cancel our appt. I'm sorry but if you have appts you make sure you have the staff to accommodate those appts. Especially when the appt was made a week in advance. A simple sorry does not cut it. A babysitter was arranged and other spas were not able to accommodate us on such short notice. So much for this birthday gift. I will not patronize this establishment and will be sharing my opinion on the business practices here with my extensive network of spa enthusiasts. read more
