Kapolei has many great food options, but after eating at them over and over my coworkers and I wanted something new. We took a drive down to Campbell Industrial on a hunt for food trucks. We came across My Ohana's BBQ food truck (driving into Campbell Industrial Park on the left side of Kalaeloa Blvd - White/Red Truck) and after one glance at the menu, we were sold! First off, the staff were super friendly! They said they've been open since August 2022 and you could tell they have a bunch of regulars. The menu is quite large and everything on it looked amazing! I decided on the Ribeye plate (Grilled Ribeye cooked to your preference, Mac & Cheese, Garlic Potatoes and a Toss Salad) for $16.99. Totally worth it! The portion size was great and everything was delicious! The steak was cooked perfectly, the potatoes were flavorful, the salad/dressing was yummy, but the showstopper was the Mac & Cheese! It was rich, creamy and seasoned perfectly! My coworkers ordered the Sirloin melt and the M.O.B. BBQ Chicken Melt. Both of them loved their meals! Unfortunately, we were so excited to eat that no pics were taken other than the menu. I will definitely be back!

Fantastic customer service and food. We waited about 10-15 minutes for our food, it was fresh and hot when we got it! We tried the 2 piece chicken and biscuits and the teriyaki chicken. The kind woman also gave us a delicious piece of rainbow cake for waiting! The prices were extremely reasonable as well!

20 mins turned into 40 mins plus. Food is great but expensive. 1 person cooking & 1 person charging. They need more staff imho.

I was told the "young girl" seems to now be running the lunch wagon. Loved my plate lunch because the Pinakbet had a lot of pumpkin & eggplant. Also included some okra, long beans bittermelon. I actually like bittermelon so could have used more and appreciated that it did not have a lot of lechon. The rice was a bit mushy though. The Filipino items are only available on certain days. Looked it up in yelp and found this food truck. Thank you Iris T. for your review and picture we ordered the Filipino mix plate. Had chicken adobo, sari sari, and dingaguan. Well they had 3 people working in the food truck so food came out fast. Reasonable prices too. Came home and the plate was full overly spilled into the other compartments but its OK. The chicken adobo was missing the vinegar shoyu taste. The sari sari was good taste and the dingaguan was a little watery my husband said. But it was ok. The pork was tender. SORRY NO PICS FORGOT TO TAKE. But it was full and over spillage into the other sections.

I ordered a Pastele Plate that included 1 scoop each of white rice, Gandule rice and potato salad with 2 neatly wrapped pasteles. Apologies as the plate was quickly eaten before I could snap any pics. What I really enjoyed was the rice was not wet and soggy, the potato salad was delicious and the pastele included nice chunks of meat and whole seedless olives. The Pasteles were a bit wetter that what I have had in the past at other businesses, but was very tasty! The potato salad was especially delicious...even better than Gulick's ! I am excited to try the pastele stew as the chunks of meat in the pastele was not fatty. I was so excited to find this pastele biz that I forgot to ask if I can pay extra to upgrade the white rice to gandule. Will definitely return in the future. I don't know what days the food truck is in Kapolei, but maybe you can get their IG page. Today the truck was at 91-220 Hanua Street. Sorry, I guessed the address when I added this new biz. A bit pricey, but I loved that the food truck was neat and clean! Maybe the higher pricing so no line lol. I rarely buy lunch so this was a treat for me and was shared. I only bought 1 plate to try, but the office staff suggested they wanted their own plate next time! Support this local small business and remember to tip well!

Unfortunately Dickey's in Kapolei, Hawaii does not meet my standards. I've been to Dickey's on the mainland. (BIG SMOOCH). When I saw a Dickey's here on Oahu Island, I started doing the HAPPY DANCE. It's in Kapolei which is a 30-45 minute drive from the other side of the island. I was really surprised by how small this restaurant is compared to the other restaurants in the Mainland. Dickey's Kapolei is located in The Walmart Shopping Center. The restaurant has maybe 15 parking spaces. There are 4 restaurants that they use. The Shopping Center in general has tons of parking Spaces but it's quite a walk to Dickey's. The easiest way to find the restaurant is to say it's kinda hidden behind Jersey Mikes. The biggest issue that I noticed was that it had NO Street View. That alone caused me to take one of my stars away. I used to love the 2-meat combo. Smoked Breast Of Chicken and either the pulled pork (which always seems to be a bit dry.) Or my 2nd choice is the Jalapeño Smoked Sausage. My two sides are The Fully Loaded Mashed Potatoes and The Macaroni and Cheese. No complaints about my sides. My Daughter is a creature of habit. She always ordered The Smoke Stack. (They recently changed their food names). It's 1/4 pound of Brisket, chopped or sliced depending on how you like the Brisket placed directly on top of a Large Boat Tray of the Macaroni and Cheese. My daughter and I made a habit of going to Dickey's at least twice a month. AND SUDDENLY POOFDICKEY'S WAS GONE! NO,NO, NO! Back to ordering BBQ, Nope, Hey Look! That restaurant has BBQ signs all over it. My hope was starting to rise until My dreams were shattered...It's a Korean BBQ, HO HUM. There are tons of Korean BBQ restaurants, Just as all my hopes for a yummy Western BBQ had disappeared , OMG! Did that van say Dickey's? It was too late to make my 30 minute drive all the way back to Kapolei. But when I awoke the next day, the sun was bright, There was a light breeze and the smell of jasmine flowers and the birds were singing. I rushed to finish my errands and took off in search of where is The "NEW" Dickey's? Surprised! It's in the same Walmart Shopping Center and it was still hidden behind Jersey Mikes. I decided I would place a mobile order. 2 meat plate, (smoked chicken and Jalapeño and cheese sausages.) what can I say? I also am a creature of habit! I LOVE The Texas Toast, so I ordered 6 pieces. I went inside to get my order. There seemed to be some kind of tension in the air when I walked in. There were 4 high school age kids running the restaurant. I grabbed my small bag of the dinner rolls. That poor 17 year old kid had to listen to my rant. She went to the back to tell The manager? Naaa, The New Owner? Ding Ding, Ding, We have a winner! The gentleman looked exhausted. Now I felt sorry for this man. Restaurants are one of the hardest businesses to run. He seems nice enough, so I explained that I ordered 6 pieces of Texas Toast. His response was to tell me, We're out of Texas Toast, so I exchanged your order and gave you the dinner rolls instead. "Bread is Bread". He issued a refund. As I was just about to open the door, The owner said "Hey, Did you want these holding up the bag of dinner rolls? Sure, my daughter will use them. I walked back to the register and he handed me the bag. UPDATE: My daughter and I went back to Dickey's, hoping that he was doing better. Nope. This time they were out of sliced chicken breast, no sausages, no sliced ham and not any type of apology. The customer right next to me seemed to have almost the same problem. She asked for a piece of pecan pie and that's what she paid for. But in her bag, they gave her an ice cream that was melting. She asked for a refund on the ice cream because that's not what she wanted. The owner looked directly at her and said dessert is dessert. Just like bread is bread. And now you can see why I gave them three stars. I wish him luck that hopefully he is able to straighten the restaurant up and get it working like a well oiled machine. I'll keep my fingers crossed. Best of luck!
