I would strongly urge anyone considering Dr. Ilana to seek care elsewhere. Our experience was extremely negative. The therapy my father received felt careless, ineffective, and lacked the level of attention you would expect from a healthcare professional responsible for someone's recovery. When I tried to raise concerns about the quality of care, the response was dismissive and defensive rather than professional or solution-oriented. Instead of acknowledging the issues, it felt like the situation was turned around in a way that suggested my father was the problem. That is a deeply troubling way to treat patients and their families. The combination of ineffective therapy and the way our concerns were handled made the entire experience unacceptable. Healthcare providers should prioritize patient care, accountability, and respect -- none of which we experienced here. I have seen Dr Ilana twice now for chronic issues related to a Bakers Cyst I've had for several years behind my left knee. I've been seeing Dr. Ilana for about a month now for ankle pain when running. It was unfortunately misdiagnosed by a different clinician at another office, and I was getting nowhere after 8 weeks of PT twice a week, lots of massage, chiropractic appointments, and no running. Within about 2 weeks of seeing Dr. Ilana, she had me test out my ankle on a run. She has helped me using many different modalities, including strength, rolling, cupping, massage, and laser. I will say I was hesitant at first to go to any physical therapist. I was referred by a friend at my gym. She mentioned some kinda heat laser and joes it's got feeling awesome and I should try it. I figured what the heck. My 1st time in it felt like I had been there before and Ilana was warm and attentive. She's straight to the point but you feel heard. After my 1st secession it was really easy to make a plan and do more then just heat laser. Her husband works the front desk he's pretty quit but he's got a great sense of humor. I feel much better my right arm went from feeling like I wanted to pull it off to I can move with out pain. My plantar fasciitis is way better. Saved from surgery! I have had 2 neck injuries in my younger years: one cervical disc derangement, and the other was a hairline fracture in one of my discs. After years of compensating for these injuries, I developed arm numbness and tightness in my shoulder and neck. The numbing through my arm and pain in my shoulder got me to a point that I decided I may need surgery. For three years I have been suffering knee pain. Had to quit playing handball. Thought about selling our condo since it was a struggle dealing with the pain going up and down 13 stairs. My Scripps surgeon showed me my X-rays - one big bundle of arthritis. He agreed I needed knee replacement surgery but at 80 years old he suggested I try physical therapy before surgery. But after 2 knee surgeries, one ankle surgery, rotator cuff surgery... and weeks and weeks of physical therapy where seldom did I end up with the therapist I started with and always felt like was caught in a money making mill, I was totally against PT.
