This place treated us like actual people, not just another room number. They kept us on the first floor, accepted our cats without making it a huge issue, and the staff was genuinely kind from the start. Not fake customer service nice actually caring. They wanted to know what was going on with us and treated us with understanding instead of judgment. Our car's transmission ended up blowing in the parking lot while we were there, and that could've made an already stressful situation way worse. Instead, they were patient and understanding, even when we had to extend our stay for extra days. That mattered more than they probably realize. The coffee was good enough that I kept going back for more, which says a lot because hotel coffee is usually terrible. I wanted to give a big thanks to this amazing hotel. We were supposed to be here for one night and head to Boise. However the day we were supposed to leave our cars transmission failed and we were stranded. They were very accommodating to us having to get all our stuff from our car and bring it into the room, very kind to be understanding for the extra nights. My kids kept coming down to talk to the folks up front. My youngest enjoyed cleaning the room. We kept it fairly clean. :) One of the cleaners left a note saying how wonderful my kids were :) Very awesome place. Amazing coffee. Had no problems with me grabbing coffee all the time. It was nice, clean, and with comfortable beds and rooms. The room had a full kitchenette. Free parking. No free breakfast but we knew this going into it (this is clearly listed online). But they do offer free hot, fresh coffee and tea in their breakfast lounge area , which was all I needed (coffee). It is pet friendly and they only charge $15 extra for a pet. The staff were friendly and efficient. This is the first time we've ever stayed at a My Place Hotel. We would stay here again. read more

We have been stopping and staying at this hotel for the last six years 2 to 3 times a year. It's always a great day always friendly staff we really like this place. It's clean, reasonably priced close to the freeway but this time the receptionist is a young man whose hair hung over his eyes to his nose, and we couldn't see his eyes. He mumbled when he talked. I had to ask him three times to repeat a question. he never really looked at us. I just think that employees respectfully groomed. Be able to look the customer in the face. Still we love this place and the location also to restaurants and shopping in the Old Mill district is great, walking distance. read more

This was a nice find for a spontaneous weekend away in Bend. We didn't want to spend much, and also had to take our two puppers with us, so our options were limited. We tried the McMenamins Old St. Francis school, but they were booked up. Fortunately, My Place had one room left that could accommodate us, and for only $90 ($100 w/taxes)! Score! We were able to check in early (1pm), and the process was as painless as can be imagined. We dropped off our stuff in the room, and were pleasantly surprised to find a kitchenette & full fridge in the room, making use of the microwave to pop some popcorn later. We also stocked up on some waters and a snack from the 24-hour shop next to the front desk (super convenient, and they don't mark up the prices, so they're very reasonable). Downtown Bend is only a mile away, so we drove down to Drake Park to the pups for a walk, and spent the rest of the day there. When we returned to crash at the hotel, we were pleased to find that the bed was, quite literally, the comfiest bed we've ever slept in, period. I wanted to push the mattress, comforter and pillows out the window and load them up into the car. It's going to be hard to adjust back to the lump of bricks (by comparison) we have at home. I have few negative things to say about this place. There is a weird, "peppery" smell to the entire hotel, most notable in the hallways. You'll know what I'm talking about if you experience it, but I have no idea what it is. Our room had a squeaky heater/air con, but it worked pretty darn well. There's also no pool or hot tub, but we knew that going into it. No gym, either, that I saw. They do have a nice "Breakfast in Bed" service, though! The next time we are in Bend, we will likely stay here again, unless the Old St. Francis School (our favorite!) is available, because yeah, the bed here is really that amazing! read more

My new place to stay when traveling through Bend, Oregon. It's a newer hotel with very nice, clean rooms, excellent amenities, dog friendly, and at an extremely reasonable price. Parking is free. The staff is friendly. The neighborhood is gorgeous with lots of things to do and places to eat within walking distance. My only complaint was the heavy footed person staying above me. I'll keep this one short. No stanks - this is a very clean place. When the air is running it is quiet and does not emit odors. It's easy to keep the room to a comfortable temperature. It's quiet. I never heard a dog bark or a TV too loud. The bed had ample pillows, was comfortable, and the sheets and cover were perfect. Hot water in the shower never failed, and the water stream from the shower head didn't drill holes in my skin. Nice kitchenette. Big fridge. I could easily stay here for several weeks if I needed a place. Minus one star for no gym. I train every day, and I can make due with my jump rope but I appreciate a gym. No pool, no jacuzzi. Oh well. But I really really would like a gym. And the folks at the desk were great! read more

The staff was friendly and the rooms weren't terrible ( there was initially a food smell in our room but we got it out). The reason for the 2 star review is that each time we came back to the hotel, there was a strange person in the woods on the far edge of the parking lot smoking / waving his arms wildly. I'm not sure if it was him or another guy but on one occasion he was practicing sword fighting in the trees on the edge of the parking lot with a sword or giant stick. I didn't feel safe going to the car by myself. The front desk is abandoned most of the night after a certain time. They do lock the front door and you can only use your hotel key to get in. Considering there was a very unfortunate mass shooting not far from this hotel at a neaby grocery store, I would recommend staffing the desk at night and having security in the parking lot. Or at the very least not to allow guests / others like the one that we saw to loiter in the parking lot and scare other guests. read more

Really enjoyed our 2 night stay here in October. It is not a fancy hotel, nor is it low-end. When you stay here you get the basics - clean room, basic tv with basic channels, a coffee maker, kitchenette (with a stovetop, large fridge and sink), and full sized bathroom. They usually have recliners as well, but we're swapping them out during our stay. If you want free breakfast, pool, gym, fancy curtains or a mint on your pillow....you won't find those things here. Staff were great, and quickly gave us a new room when we complained about a noisy neighbor after the first night. All for $100 per night. Great service. Great value. Checkin seemed easy. Good location for a tourist (which I'm not). Room was very clean, 2 queens. Price was good, staying with a dog. Property was clean and picked up. Bed is ok but hard, pillows are horrible. The advertisement said a variety of pillows but my bed only had ones that felt more like bolsters. I should have brought my own. Somebody must have left their poor dog alone in the room. If you assume your pet will be fine and not bark, you are wrong. The dog is in a strange place with strange noises and smells. Thankfully, it stopped around 9. I did not report it to the front desk. I appreciate places that allow dogs, people that leave their fur family unattended are going to ruin it for everyone. read more

Such a great price!!! Or is it? Clean and seems like the best deal in town at first glance. One of the newer hotels in the area. Kitchenette was a plus until you realized there's absolutely bare cupboards! I think you can rent kitchen supplies? But then $$$$ starts adding back up. During check in, the front desk was without staff. We literally had to wait over 20 minutes. The staff was friendly but not apologetic for our wait. She just explained that she had to finish what she was doing. The clincher was that upon returning to our room the first night there was no maid service. We had to ask for clean towels & it was only then that we were told that they only clean every 3rd day. That would have been nice to know when we booked a week there. read more

This is an extended stay hotel, but we stayed here for just one night and it was a great choice for the Bend area. The bed was the comfiest that we had in our whole Oregon trip and it had a really nice shower, which are two of the most important things for us. I could hear the front desk girl yapping nonstop in her loud rapid fire cadence. 11:00pm she never shut up till 11:20pm. Then the same thing at 12:30am. Once again at 3:00am and 3:40am. Worst sleep ever for me hearing her loud annoying voice. To top it off the cleaning staff is the same thing . They are a group of loud 20 year old girls who need to be heard. Even with a slight screw up on the reservation, we found this to be a suitable stay for a short stay with pets. The good points were: A Great Location, next to the Old Mill shopping district and theaters,close to many good restaurants. We like to use the close-by Market of Choice. Great groceries and take out back to the hotel. No pots and pans needed. Great store and close. The hotel is New and clean. Bed covers for dogs on bed. They know how dogs can be. A Full sized Refer and Microwave makes food prep and storage easy. The beds and pillows and comforter were exceptionally cozy. On the things we found needing changes: The Poor logo design for after dark ID makes finding the hotel difficult. We were looking for the My Place logo in color, like on their printed literature, but it was in brownish stone. City of Bend idea? The hotel does not come with Pots and pans or dishes, unless you buy them. But fair warning Is in web write up. As we did, we brought in food from MOC. Had a great meal and no pots or pans required. The 4 day cleanup schedule is similar to other extended stay places, so it helps if you can keep your room neater. Again fair warning is given on their web site. Linens request more often than 4 days can be arranged at the front desk. The Noise factor was slight and not bothersome when we were there. But the place was only about half full. The Ice maker in the refer is not on, but you can ask them to turn it on before your arrival (see web and email acknowledgement). There is no ice machine on the floors. The only real screwup was on my special request for a room location in my reservation. I got a personal acknowledgement from the general manager that he would do it. But he dropped the ball. However, the young lady on the desk did the best she could and made us happy with her choice of room and location. Good work on her part. So in summary, we would stay again if we are with our dogs. Decided to try out the My Place after a neighbor recommended the hotel. I would say it's similar to an Extended Stay without a functional kitchen. The rooms do have a complete kitchen with all the appropriate appliances just no dishes, pots, pans or silverware. It's my understanding you have to 'rent' them from the front desk, novel idea. The room was adequate, having basic furnishings and a bed with a pillowtop mattress. According to my reservation, there was supposed to be a recliner but for some reason, the accessible room (I did not reserve an accessible room) I was checked into did not have one. The location is great, being close to restaurants and shopping. That and the mattress are the only positive points of my stay. Unfortunately, my room was near the front desk and I had to endure the training session that was going on at 11pm. The walls do not block any sound from outside the room and sleeping through the training was impossible. Ultimately, I turned on the TV and the a/c fan to drown out the noise. I've stayed at many hotels over the years while traveling for work and vacationing, some nice, some not so nice but any future plans to Bend, OR will not include My Place. read more

Awesome place to stay if you want the staff to steal $1,000 from you! Honestly didn't mind the stay at all until I checked out and realized 3 hours later that I forgot my Chanel glasses in the room. I called immediately when I realized and the girl at the desk, Brianna, confirmed that she did find them and even made sure we were talking about the same glasses! She was even nice enough to offer to ship them back to me for no cost, even though I asked if she needed my credit card information for shipping fees. Brianna told me that she would ship my glasses out the next day and use the address I had on file when I stayed(even repeating the numbers that my address started with). A two weeks go by so I called back, again Brianna was as the front desk and she told me that she wasn't in charge of the glasses at all and they should have already been at my house because she gave them to the manager to ship out, but she would check lost and found again. Of course, they weren't there. Honestly at this point I knew that the trust I had in the staff here was out the window and my glasses were in fact never shipped out. She told me they "must have gotten lost in the mail". Another week passes, I called again only to have Brianna pick up the phone again. I ask about my glasses and if she heard anything from the manager about him shipping them out. She rudely told me that they were shipped out and to talk to the manager. This process has been a month and a half long, Brianna basically sending me to talk to the manager who by the way, when spoken to, had NO IDEA that any of this was happening. How strange because according to her HE was the one in charge of shipping my glasses out and APPARENTLY he did. Once speaking with the manager, my glasses were miraculously found two days later IN THE LOST AND FOUND. Even though for an entire month Brianna was telling me that they were shipped out and nowhere near the lost and found. Long story short, don't stay here. I know Brianna was the one in charge of cleaning my room and if they can hire someone that shady and stupid(like who thinks that someone isn't going to try as hard as they can to get their designer glasses back?) then I wouldn't even trust them to clean my room. If you're going to stay here, hide your belongings. :) By the way, the glasses were supposed to have been shipped out on Monday and on Thursday i still hadn't gotten them. Called back the next day and they said they would Fedex them. Finally, almost three months later, I have my glasses back! :D read more

We love going to Bend and staying at My Place Hotel. They are dog friendly and allow large dogs to stay with them. There is a minimal pet fee, I believe per night, but it isn't excessive like other places. Because we have a large dog, sometimes we struggle finding a pet friendly hotel over a 25 lb weight limit, but not at My Place Hotel. I wish they were more of them at all of the places we want to travel. It's also an extended stay hotel which means it has a full refrigerator with a freezer and ice maker in the room, a sink and a 2 burner stove right in the room. It's walking distance to Old Mill District which has food, shops, dog park and the Deschutes River all nearby. read more

Quite a bit of ambient light through the window treatments No pool No fitness center I had no use for the kitchenette, which is not stocked with anything.. so I'm not really sure who this hotel would really cater too, it's a bit odd? That being said, I really liked it here. I would have used a fitness center and a hot tub if it was available, especially since I was in town for an athletic event, that would have been a nice feature. We found the hotel's location convenient to both the Old Mill District and downtown while providing easy access to Rte. 97. There is ample parking and the check in process went smoothly. The desk clerk provided an overview of the property and answered a few of our questions. The property appears to be relatively new and well maintained though I found an accumulation of dust on the top of the refrigerator. Our room was spacious with 2 queen beds, a full sized refrigerator, cook top and microwave, but oddly neither utensils nor dishes. These, along with snacks, beverages and laundry supplies are sold in MyStore located adjacent to check-in. A prepackaged breakfast is offered for a nominal fee which was not appealing. Amenities include free coffee, guest laundry and a computer. Rooms are serviced every 4 days, but additional towels may be requested from housekeeping as needed. There is some type of construction underway in a lot immediately adjacent to the hotel beginning weekdays at 7AM weekdays. We would not hesitate to stay again at this facility. read more

This hotel seems like it was just built. Staff was nice. The room was clean with all the amenities (fridge w/ freezer, kitchenette with small sink). I had a good night of sleep with no noise issue (which is the most important to me). Location was awesome. Just across the street (less than 5 min walk) is the shopping promenade which is very pretty with the river crossing. Downtown is less than 30 min walking and you can do so along the river. Super cool staff for the most part. Very clean!! Even the inside of the elevator. Housekeeping rocks- left me a sweet note! I have a beautiful view of the mountains. Laundry room is good too! The beds are the only thing I can say something negative about. I read several reviews before making my reservation and lots of "comfy beds" in them. I must disagree completely. On my 4th night and I have yet to sleep thru the night it is so awful, back hurts and hands fall asleep now. I have 7 more weeks here . I ended up getting a gel pad for the bed and hopefully it will help and booked a massage. read more

This hotel is off the main drag a ways and closer to the Old Mill historical district. It's only two months old at this writing. The staff is incredibly welcoming and accommodating. They only clean every four days to "keep prices lower". I was okay with that. No pool or continental breakfast (do NOT try the frozen breakfast for $5 - yuck!), but very clean, has fabulous beds, and a good working heater/fan. My only regret on the room was that, though I loved the idea of a kitchenette, it was right in the room; the fridge was three feet away from the bed, which meant more noise than I liked. We were able to walk to the shopping/theatre area and the river view there was amazing. Lots of breadth for exercise. I don't know Bend, though, and got turned around more than once. Quite adventurous! Overall, it was a very pleasant stay. I would go again - but maybe more for business than a family vacation. read more

The construction/front desk ruined a good trip. The whole room shakes and kitchenette is loud. The bed shakes and feels like there is a constant earthquake. Besides that- the walls are super thin. They lady at the front desk, Krista, refused to allow a late checkout and was pretty rude considering how inconvenient this stay has been. What a joke this place is! Why put in a stove and refrigerator and at the same time have no dishes no silverware and no pots or pans to cook anything in. This is some insane business model from some New York high roller that doesn't have a clue what it's like to stay in an extended stay hotel. Overpriced. Walking distance to Mill District shops which might be the reason for the higher price. Room comes with full size frig, ironing board, clothes basket(? They have a washer and dryer on first floor), sink and stove and is advertised as a economy extended stay but we didn't find out what that meant as we just stayed one night. For ice u have to turn on the ice maker in the fridg in your room and wait at least 30 minutes for a handful of ice and then listen as it noisily drops ice all night. There is no other ice available. The heat and air are a noisy under window unit that you can easily control to the temp u want but the fan on high is loud so we opted for low or off. The windows don't open so no fresh air and it was such a beautiful day. Clean. Comfortable bed. You can do much better to the Riverhouse. read more

While this is new and clean, the hotel is very spartan and masculine in design and amenities. It was clearly built for businessmen. When I inquired about hand lotion in the rooms, I was told that "they don't provide those things " She looked in their mini store to see if I could buy some, but it was not stocked. The bed, a queen, was overly soft, as in back ache soft. The wifi and electric plugs, and lights off the microwave lit up the room - we wished we had duct tape with us to block some of the lights out. Our room came with a studio sized kitchen, which was great, except there were no dishes, pans, or utensils - it made no sense. The breakfast they offer for $5.00 is terrible. The staff were very friendly and checking in and out was easy. For the price, and lack of amenities, we would not recommend this hotel. read more
