I would still go if I didn't have a kid, because there is still enough of a good barbershop vibe there, even if there's a kid in one of the chairs. That being said, this is a good barbershop for a calm child who is comfortable getting their haircut without a tablet in their hand. They'll listen to you, give you the haircut you want, and it's a very comfortable place to hang out.

It looked as though it was a busy morning, no worries. My associate introduced himself, I told him of my deafness and how we could communicate through the process. I've had steel blade shaves before so this was nothing new to me. The pretreatment was nice and relaxing. Other patrons were coming in, so the timing of my appointment was great. Within half an hour all was said and done to perfection. Mind you I could have done the same thing at home, but like I said I chose to pamper myself and definitely will be back!

What's more, Jay (and all the guys) treat their clients - young and old - with so much respect, greeting even my 11yo son by shaking his hand and giving eye contact (a REALLY big deal in a world with kids who are anxious about talking with adults).
