I have had hypertrophic breasts since I was 12 and never had the financial ability to get a reduction. My cervical spine hasn't had the proper curve since I was 24, there's an inward curve to my shoulders, and I have pain in my daily activities due to the weight and awkward size they have grown to over the years of stress and average life changes. When I finally had insurance who would partially cover a reduction *IF APPROVED* and only *after* a consultation with a plastic surgeon, I was referred to this person. Upon my visit, I was bombarded with the exact opposite of the visuals I needed emotionally and there was ONE bit of photo evidence to view of a reduction he had performed, as opposed to literally everything else you can imagine that makes one "prettier." During my exam, his vocal inflection was quite bored and annoyed. When discussing my weight, I explained my history of poverty trauma, the recent losses of three immediate family, my struggle with PTSD and depression, and that exercising is incredibly difficult with my breasts being so large for my 5'1" body. Immediately after this exact statement, he was taking my measurement around my ribcage under them and said, "Underneath all this, what is your true band size?" to which I had to clarify. "Do you mean under my fat -- what was my band size when I wasn't as fat??" and he said yes. I was hurt and disgusted, but answered anyway, clarifying that my band size on my current bra is irrelevant anyway because it accommodates the width of the cup I need. He didn't respond, was quite blunt during his assessment about what could be done, and when I requested a certain size, he basically said "not possible." This exam was in summer of 2019 and after being rejected by the insurance, I told this office I would not need their services again, nor do I want their future mailings. The insurance company gave no particular reason, but I had suspicions... I wrote it off as my bias making me angry and decided not to leave a review. Until today, when I received a birthday wish randomly from their office via an app called Kareo. Meaning this office retained my information, gave it to a third party without my consent, and ON MY BIRTHDAY, I get to sit here and relive being emotionally harmed by someone who is supposed to "remember that there is art to medicine as well as science, and that warmth, sympathy, and understanding may outweigh the surgeon's knife or the chemist's drug." Very cool. Great experience. Totally worth it 4 years later.

I had my consultation with Dr. Kass on April 6th, 2022 and set my surgery to be two weeks and one…read moreday later. I paid that day (April 6) and then waited the very long two weeks. I really like that Dr. Kass talked about a lot of other treatments (lasers, etc), why he didn't use them and why he used the things he did instead. I felt like I was in really good hands. My pre-op was two days before my surgery date and I was given all my prescriptions and instructions for aftercare. I was so ridiculously excited. Why is it that time seems to go by so slowly when you're really excited? It is so annoying! I am a super impatient person. Finally, it was time. My boyfriend drove me to the office where Shay (I think) took me back. My memories get really blurry here but I vaguely remember sitting in the chair and then that was pretty much it until I was getting wheeled out to my boyfriend's car. I was told later when I was more coherent that I was in surgery for something like 4 or 5 hours. My skin was really bad. I had pretty horrible scarring and Dr. Kass decided to do several different procedures. It included: 1. Blood draw and PRP injections 2. TCA peel 3. Microneedling 4. Subcision 5. Fat injections (with minor lipo to get the fat from around my belly button) 6. And the big mamma Hetter peel I'm pretty sure that was everything... Like I said, the whole day was pretty blurry so it's possible I'm forgetting something. No idea what order everything happened in lol. My face looked pretty crazy immediately afterwards. It was so so swollen. The swelling went away after a day or so but then my skin took on the appearance of a sunburned alligator for about a week while it prepared to peel and then actually peeled. The pain was very intense when I first "woke up" in the recovery area but they took great care of me and I had my prescriptions waiting for me at home. Once I woke up from my 8 hour nap at home (lol), the pain was very tolerable. I have some great pictures of those first 7 days and even though it looks really bad, it didn't hurt at all by the second or third day. It was mostly just soreness after day 2 and some pain from the lipo around my belly button. Not bad though. Not bad at all. I had everything done on a Thursday and by Monday I was able to work from home without any issues other than being a bit more tired than normal. For the duration of the peel, I had to do diluted vinegar soaks every two hours and it surprisingly didn't burn at all. In fact, it felt pretty nice. It was also pretty nice getting the princess treatment from my boyfriend even if he did call me an alligator ______________________________________________ It's now been 4 months since my treatment and I just had my second post-op. The redness is mostly gone and my skin looks amazing. There was ~60% improvement which is just freaking crazy. I never thought my skin would look so good. I wish I had access to the before and after pics that Dr. Kass took with his professional camera but they will probably be on his website. My skin should continue to improve for the next several months. I am already planning on getting everything done again in 8 months. I literally cannot wait. Everyone was amazing and honestly I am so happy I found them. I'm moving to Texas in a few weeks and you better believe I will be flying back next year to see them all again.

The doctor who completed this was friendly. This review is to indicates my disappointment regarding (1) my left eye, where I have a small protruded area due to stitches, which were wrapped around the skin, and that eye looks different from the right one (which came out perfect). (2) The result of the laser treatment shows no improvement, and in fact is worst because now I have bags. I had met with the doctor to address these problems, and after dismissing my concerns, he scheduled a surgery to correct the left eye. Regarding the area under the eye, he indicated that this is normal aging, which contradicts the reason I decided to do this procedure, which was extremely painful and included an arduous recovery. After giving much thought to all of this, I decided to not do anything to have these problems corrected. The main reason is not trusting that there will be a better outcome and my frustration with the outcome of the laser treatment. Be also careful. I was overcharged $800.00 and the person in charge of billing, argued with me when I pointed it out (at which point I let it go). A couple of days later, she corrected her error.

This comes after a time when I would seek out the darkest seat in a room when I was with company - because my skin was so bad. From now on, I'm going for CO2 every so many years over a bunch of disappointing peels. After going for my 3 month check up, I asked about a newer filler on the market called Revaneese Versa. One of my girlfriends did it and her results were amazing. It's proven to be a better option than the juvederms of the world - not to mention - there are NOT many physicians skilled in it.
