I had purchased a coat in celebration of my first real adult job. I fell in love with the piece while shopping in town but it was a bit large. The store keeper recommended I go get it tailored and even though I knew it would be an extra cost, the coat made me feel so confident and pretty. I have never really purchased brand new pieces of clothing nor had anything tailored. However, I just got my first paycheck and I knew this would be a piece that would be in my wardrobe for years; I decided to take the plunge. The next day I took it to the tailor. While she was pinning my sleeves she told me that "this coat does nothing for you." She said it was unflattering and washed me out. My heart immediately fell and I was almost in tears. My friend with me immediately saw that I was distraught. She told me to come back in a few days to pick it up. I had my friend pick up the piece as I didn't want to step foot in the shop again. My friend returned my jacket to me and while she had done a beautiful tailoring job, it was stained by her comments that I never asked for. I wish she could of framed her criticism in a more gentle manner or said nothing at all and let me enjoy the moment. read more

The owner got injured and never bothered to let my fiancé know she wasnt working on his pants for our wedding. We left the pants with her for over 2 weeks, and after she wouldn't return our calls, my partner had to drive out to her shop to find out she'd been closed for weeks and never told anyone. This woman had him drive to her house, pick up the key, drive back to the shop and let himself in, get his own pants, then drive back to her house. after wasting weeks of our time she wasted his entire day. she is not apologetic about this, and actually blocked me on facebook when I left a comment warning other people that she is failing to communicate with her clients. This woman is unprofessional and disrespectful. She almost put a huge wrench in our wedding day and really left us scrambling to find a tailor. Not even an apology. She also keeps deleting my comments on Facebook, where she has plenty of time to post photos of her injury. Unbelievable. AVOID at all costs; this woman does not care about her clients and would rather post on Facebook than communicate with her clients like an adult. read more

I brought in 5 pairs of suit pants to be let out and at $20 each I have to say I was very disappointed with the results. One star for being on time. One star for shame on me for not thoroughly inspecting the work and trying them on before I left. Minus 3 for some really shoddy tailoring. Two of the pairs of pants I had to just throw out. Previously very presentable good quality suits purchased at Nordstom. One I had repaired at a different tailor. read more

Overpriced and poor customer service. She'd fitted a wedding gown for my friend several years ago so when I wanted to make sure some curtains I had were precisely the same length, I decided to have a professional do it. She charged $15 to hem up each curtain and $20 to remove the lining of another and not only hem the length but also the width of another. That last price seemed reasonable to me, unlike the first one. She did an excellent job but when I got the curtains home, the last one no longer had the part for me to put a curtain rod through. I tried fitting it through the hem but it was too tight. I tried the clip-on hangers but it looked terrible. I took the curtain back the next week to explain the problem and see if she had the extra fabric still. She enthusiastically dug through her bin of discards (and found the fabric!) but did not offer to fix the curtain, even when I explained the problem and said I would have to add a band in order to hang it. So now I'm not only feeling ripped off, I still need a curtain. read more
