I'll never be able to thank Patricia enough for helping me with my wedding dress. She actually did alterations on two different dresses I brought her (COVID really threw my plans for a loop!) that each presented unique alteration challenges, but she handled them expertly and transformed both dresses. Excellent, excellent work! Patricia took my eBay disaster and turned it into something wonderful. I wanted a Regency gown but I can't sew so I search for a gown on eBay. I saw a listing by a woman who makes gowns, made to order. We chatted, I asked her instead of using her usual pattern, could she use the La Mode Bagatelle pattern. She said sure, even though she had never used it before. Big mistake. I sent her my exact measurements and we chatted throughout the process. But when my gown and spencer finally arrived? They were at least 6 sizes too small and the craftsmanship was awful. This woman, mind you, had positive reviews. I couldn't stop crying and when I finally did, I wrote to her and she said for an additional $50.00, she'll fix the dress but she couldn't see how it ended up so small: I must have sent her the wrong measurements (I did not: my partner at the time measured me). I did not send her the extra $50.00 and kept the dress in a box. Then through WRS, someone told me about Patricia and said that if anyone could fix my dress it would be Patricia. I spoke to Patricia, told her my story. When she first saw my dress and spencer, she couldn't believe her eyes, it was that bad...crappy stitching, etc. She especially couldn't believe that the woman who made this dress has a successful Etsy store! With numerous trips to Whidbey for fitting after fitting, weeks later I had a perfectly fitted, gorgeous forest green Regency gown in broadcloth with matching velvet spencer. Patricia is amazing! She made VERY last minute alterations to my beautiful wedding dress for me, and it turned out to be exactly what I wanted. I had already had alterations made to my dress in Seattle but realized I wasn't 100% comfortable in the dress still. I found Patricia just days before the wedding, and she was so kind to make time to meet with me, make final alterations to my dress that night, and I picked it up the next day- and it was perfect. I consider myself a moderately skilled seamstress, and Ms. Francisco has been invaluable in a number of projects I've undertaken, including making my daughter's wedding dress. I could not have done it without her professional assistance, from fittings and techniques to finishing touches. She's also done alterations for me and her work is flawless. She is friendly yet professional with a very nice studio near Freeland. It's been easy to make appointments and the work is always ready when promised. Her advice on fitting, fabrics and design has been spot on and made the finished product better. I've seen some of her costumes in person, both at the studio and at a lecture series she presented locally and they are spectacular. The designs and fabric choices are stunning and the detail and finishing are impeccable. In addition, her pricing is fair. As I noted, a 5+ star rating.
