Ginger with scallions. #23
Daniel M.

I pulled into this plaza to turn around and saw their sign at lunch and gave them a try. I ordered the ginger and scallions #23 and it was okay, but the chicken was a bit tough. The woodear mushrooms were great. The flavor, okay. Also had an eel/cucumber roll. It was decent Overall, the service was a bit slow, especially considering how few people were in there, but reasonably good food.

Ordered summer style shrimp roll and green curry with tofu. It is not authentic Thai food for sure. Not much of taste and very blend , quite disappointed ... . There is barely any vegetable in the green curry too . The shrimp roll is ok but not every potion has shrimp .

Hands down the best Thai restaurant we've been to and we have been to quite a few. They have recently moved their location and are still settling in. They are now combined with Fuji Jade and offer both menus. We had several dishes a day all were great. Their pad Thai has great clean distinct flavors. The Phuket was out of this world. We kept fighting over the bowl. Sauces are excellent.

Yummy Fried Spring rolls!

So i've heard so much about this place in terms of State College's Thai Food scene and I couldn't resist seeing what all of the hype was about. I arrived around 8:30pm with my friend and as soon as we walked into the restaurant, we were greeted in a very friendly and welcoming manner and promptly seated. I ordered the Thai Iced tea and it was to die for! So smooth, delicious, and luscious! My friend ordered the Jasmine tea, which had delicate notes, but was also very rich and pure. We ordered the common Thai food staples as appetizers, fried spring rolls and Papaya Salad. If you get these wrong, then you are not an authentic Thai spot. The spring rolls were on another level! And the sauce that came with them was just something out of this world! The papaya salad was very fresh and rich in flavor, you could taste the rice vinegar and the fish sauce. I was in seventh heaven! As my main course I ordered Chicken Pad Thai and my friend ordered Shrimp Pad Thai. Our dishes were well flavored and they were extremely generous in terms of the portions! My experience was great! The staff was pleasant, the food was amazing, and the Thai tea was liquid gold! What more could you ask for??! Check this place out and relish in the cuisine!

Scallops with chili sauce. Pretty good I'd get again

More of a 3.5 but Ive generally found the food to be pretty decent so i rounded up. The portions are pretty big but dinner prices can go up to an avg of 12 bux, which I find slightly excessive. I don't mind the specials being 15 bux or so, but I feel the staples like pad thai or whatever should be below ten. Anyways, if you wanna keep your prices low, the lunch specials are where its at! Everything is 8 bux! The portions for the noodles were so big that I wonder how much id get for a 12 dollar dinner portion lol. The portion for the curries are about 2/3 the size of a dinner portion (and it costs 2/3 the times of a dinner portion) so u dont save much money there cept you dont hafta spend an extra 4 bux gettin the costco dinner sized portion thats gonna last you 3 days. Theyre really great about keep the food super hot for delivery. I usually get the food bout an 45 mins to an hr from order time and its always piping hot. PS: Dont get noodle soup as delivery...I got the Tom Yum Noodle Soup and all the noodles inside basically got too moist and broke apart. I think it woulda been fine if i ate it there... PS2: Ive had better pad thai. The flavor was fine. The noodles could have been better (chewier). Beyond that, they dont have a lot of fancy stuff, but they got all the staples. I really liked the curries and id probably order delivery from them again.

Order was delivered in a timely manner then it was all downhill from there. No rice with my curry dish and then after eating half of the curry I found a bug in it... Blah They definitely lost my business.

curry lunch special

Ordered a lunch special curry dish with salad. The salad was so small and sparse it made me laugh. Had a couple drops of a peanut dressing. Curry soup was spicy enough but tasted bland. Personally won't be coming back.

They also brought our check after about an hour at which point we hadn't received any of our food yet (not even our appetizer). I would go back but only if I have a lot of time to spend there. For food we had the chicken dumpling balls as an app, very good and a good number of them. I had the pumpkin curry it was very tasty, less curry sauce and more stuff than what I'm used to but good. And my fiance had the chefs special sushi roll, he loved it

Lemont is a cozy and quaint town at the base of Mount Nittany. Kamrai sits in the middle of the "business" area in Lemont. It's located in an old victorian style home with an enclosed porch. There's plenty of parking in and around town with sidewalks to access the restaurant. They offer thai & sushi as menu options. By luck we stumbled across Kamrai on this evening as we were in the area around dinner time. We got porch seating, which is great, and opted for some thai and sushi offerings. It's an old establishment but it has it's own charm. Service was good and the food came quickly. I got Spicy Udon with pork and it was delicous. I also tried their shrimp tempura. Overall it was a great visit.

We shared three dishes - beef stew, drunken noodles with tofu and beef ribs. They were all really good. The ribs were meaty, slightly sweet and fell off the bone. Served with a sunny side up egg, spinach and rice. There was an egg with the stew as well and it made the dish feel silky. The beef seemed slow cooked and the basmati rice went well. The tiramisu was solid, light and airy and very pretty plating. Service was a little apathetic, but the food was good enough to offset. Reasonable prices too. Would definitely go back if we lived here.

It is truly incredible and has ruined other ramen for me because of how good it is. I compare every ramen I get to it and they never measure up. If you do not really have a tolerance for spice, you can ask for it less spicy. We also got the chicken and duck rolls, both are very good. I do not know if there is a menu item in this restaurant that's bad. The seafood explosion is delicious and so is the popcorn chicken. We've had the cheesecake, the truffle bomb, and the lava cake, once again, all amazing.
