Younghee was my favorite vendor through all of 1.5 years of planning for our big day, our wedding. I'm pretty OCD and she exceeded my expectations from the beginning to the end. I literally could not have been more impressed. I think everyone that has encountered her, would agree with me that her sketches are AMAZING. Even my wedding venue remembered her beautiful sketches from a prior wedding. She also only takes 2 seconds to sketch them out! She is capable of being more than a florist if she wanted to. Younghee saved me from working with an additional vendor for our drapes on our barn door. She did amazing on that too. If you are planning yourself, I'm sure you must be so tired of reaching out to a gazillion vendors to get quotes, hoping they don't rip you off and having to calculate another delivery fee into your budget. I remembered my friend's flowers from more than a year ago and this was how I found Younghee. I was a bit worried because her wedding was in the winter time, so I wasn't sure how her flowers would last through 90 degree weather in a winery for mine. But, her flowers lasted beautifully, even a few days after! I'm jumping the gun here and writing my review before my photos are even ready because I feel like she deserves the credit and I'd feel selfish if I didn't share such a great find to my yelp followers. I'll update the post with photos once I get them. Save yourself the stress... if you managed to read this through... you have nothing to worry about and can stop looking for a florist now. :)

First of all, I am very very picky about flowers and I WAS BLOWN AWAY with my wedding centerpieces and bouquets. My jaw dropped when I saw my bouquet! Younghee has a magical calling for flower arranging and she EXCEEDED mine and my guest's expectations. The color palette and intentional placement of each flower made my eyes gush! In addition to talent, she responds quickly to emails and tries to work with your budget! I'd pick her again for my wedding florals!

My Wedding Sense will create the flowers of your dreams for your wedding day or any other special day where you would like floral for added beauty! Younghee was so helpful and responsive since the first day I reached out regarding floral for my wedding. She answered any and all questions or requests I had and I never felt like a bother. With just a few details about the mood of the day I was going for and the typical colors I was hoping for she created arrangements that were even better than I could ever imagine. Mind you, I got married in DECEMBER! So I imagine it was tricky to source flowers during that time. She didn't care what time of year it was, she made my floral dreams come true! I am forever grateful! On top of all this I had an unfortunate reschedule last minute for the wedding and she bent over backwards to make things work for me and I can't thank her enough! If you want stunning floral arrangements for your event and a person to work closely with through the process this is the company for you!

My experience with Younghee was amazing. She took the time to meet with us in person to discuss our wedding vision. We had a few follow up calls in between from the time we booked her until our wedding day. We leaned on her and her creativeness for our final displays and they all turned out better than we could have anticipated. She managed to capture our vision by a few photos and even with a few adjustments she still was able to make these changes quickly. I trusted Younghee from the beginning because of her expertise in being a florist. I'm glad I did and would do it again. Younghee is professional and kind. She explained everything so we had very little questions. She showed up on time to deliver the bridal bouquets and had all of our arrangements ready prior to our visit to the venue. (We had 2 ceremonies and photos were in all 3 different locations) she accommodated our needs. I can't speak anymore highly of Younghee and definitely out my stamp of approval on her.

We were referred to Younghee Baek of My Wedding Sense by our wedding coordinator. We really waited until the last minute to book our florist so we were beyond blessed to have been able to work with Younghee. I contacted so many florists but they were either booked or asking for a ton of money. Let's just say I wasn't willing to pay $10,000 for flowers. Prior to meeting with Younghee, we were certain we had our florist locked down. We thought she understood our vision, but we were very wrong. She created a sample centerpiece for us and I was so upset with the quality of the flowers and the overall arrangement. It just didn't make any sense. I was really hoping and praying Younghee would be able to execute. She went above and beyond my expectations and I couldn't have been more impressed with the quality of her work. When we first met with Younghee, I immediately knew we were in good hands. She started off by asking about our color palette and came prepared with a binder full of various colors to look at. I didn't have a set idea in mind, I just knew I wanted peonies and a light color palette with a few touches of pinks/peaches and no traditional roses. I showed her some pictures of floral arrangements I liked and the rest was up to her creative judgement. Throughout the remaining few months we had left, Younghee kept in great contact with me. She was always following up in regards to design ideas and creating a back up plan. Flowers are available during different seasons and it is often hard to predict what will be fresh and available at the time of your wedding. In my case, peonies were coming to the end of their season for my June 2013 wedding. Although I was very set on having peonies, Younghee created a beautiful back up plan involving Garden Roses. On the day of my wedding, I was so surprised with the quality of her work. The flowers were so full, fresh, and beautiful. She even got a hold of peonies to fulfill my wedding wishes :) My bouquet was my favorite, but everything she created was truly just as beautiful. She definitely exceeded my expectations and I couldn't have been happier. I have zero complaints and will send my friends and family to Younghee for any floral needs.

Younghee, the owner, did the flowers for my April wedding two months ago. I was lucky to meet Younghee at a small wedding fair thrown by Suji Events. Younghee had arranged several centerpiece examples for the event. My fiancé and I fell in love with one of her designs and got a quote from her on the spot that fit within our budget! Weeks later, we contacted her again and met with her twice to discuss flower designs. Younghee is a pleasure to work with--she is so polite and kind. I had several ideas for the flowers, but was having a hard time figuring out how they would all work. Younghee's talent for arranging flowers became clear as she sorted through my ideas, helping me figure out which ones would work together and what type of overall color scheme would work best with my wedding colors and bridesmaids' dresses. Memorably, she even pulled out a little kit of sample colors cut in the shape of leaves and flowers with a plethora of different shades. She let me pick out the colors I liked best and then would show me what a bouquet with those colors would look like, even down to the leaves that would be around them. We ended up with a blush pink, peach, and white color scheme that I completely loved. There were little bumps throughout the process that I expect are common--some of the flower types that I wanted weren't in season in April, but Younghee provided me with tons of options for alternatives and didn't even charge extra when I selected a more expensive flower. On the big day of the wedding, I was so surprised and delighted with the flowers. My bouquet was huge, and Younghee had even wrapped the base of the flowers with pink ribbon and lace, decorated with a small pink and white cameo-style pin. This was a wonderful touch that everyone remarked on. Working with Younghee as our florist was a wonderful experience and I highly recommend her for any wedding you are planning. You'll get excellent service and someone who really cares about the final outcome of your wedding. And on top of that, she has a true talent and eye for what will look good. With all of the many parts of wedding planning, it really makes a difference to have a calm, considerate, and sweet vendor on your side!

My husband and I wed in San Jose at the end of June of 2012, but I still remember those weeks of preparing. Just like many brides, I had been collecting ideas of what I wanted to see for my wedding. I may not be very creative, but I do appreciate beautiful things. Due to my limited budget, my husband and I had to opt out of having our wedding in a beautiful vineyard or a lovely outdoor scenery. Our next sentimental location would be my home church. The sanctuary of my home church is very clean and bare. The cafeteria, which would be used for my reception, looked like an industrial cafeteria. To a bride, it looked like decorating the two areas for a dream wedding would be an impossible task. Mrs. Baek helped me to prepare for my wedding months before the wedding day. She has an extraordinary amount of creativity and is very resourceful. Her goal wasn't to figure out what would be in her best interest, but she genuinely did her best to maximize my budget. She met up with me several times to show me her personal sketches and proposal designs and they put me at ease. She integrated my themes into the decorations and also had great feedback about how to make most of the space that we had. As the wedding day approached, I started to feel more excited about how the reception area would be transformed. I honestly, absolutely loved my bouquet. She added in my favorite flowers, peonies, which were thankfully in season. I loved the ways that she used my colors: lilac, pastel pink, and cream, to work them into the whole wedding. She took my inspiration boards and made them into reality. She also made my cake-toppers (the wooden painted dolls). She is not only wonderful with flowers and ceremony designs, but she truly is an artist! All in all I was very satisfied with how beautiful the ceremony place looked and also how the reception place looked. My guests (most of whom were members of my church) were in shock of how magically she transformed our cafeteria. Mrs. Baek is a magical person to work with. She is not only great in working with big themes and large-scaled projects, but she is also great in seeing how details fit into creating beautiful large events. She is very patient and also a great resource when it comes to planning your wedding. You won't regret booking her. :)

My review below still stands true. I wanted to add that My Wedding Sense was, by a million miles, my most prized wedding vendor. Three of my girlfriends have been recommended or are using Younghee as their vendor also! I had two weddings during the weekend: one at a Buddhist temple and one at Casa Real at Ruby Hill Winery. Younghee did such a fantastic job. I had 150 people at the temple who raged about my flowers. I also had another 150+ guests at Casa Real who couldn't get enough of my gorgeous all-orchid bouquet. I won't forget how amazing she did with my limited budget. I really hope that those who are considering a flower vendor to only seek the help of My Wedding Sense.

I feel so lucky that I stumbled upon Younghee on Yelp, because she made my wedding floral vision come true and I didn't even know I had one! I got married 2 months ago, and to be honest flowers was low on my priority list. I had some Pinterest-inspired bridal bouquets and my mind was constantly changing what arrangement I want. Younghee really was a lifesaver- I basically gave her all my pinterest links, color scheme, some flowers I like or don't like, and a budget, and she executed all the bouquets, boutonnieres, pinned corsages, garlands for kings tables at reception so amazingly that it blew me away. She knew I was planning my SF wedding from NYC, and was extremely accommodating and responsive in our email correspondence. I was a little worried at some point because I never had the time to talk to her or meet in person while I was in town, but that instantly went away the day of. Morning of wedding, I finally get to meet Younghee (and her beautiful daughter!) when they delivered the flowers to my parents house and I was instantly obsessed with all that she had done! Don't be afraid to give her your real budget- she was able to amend your order down to a $100 difference! Highly recommended, and she takes venmo! If I ever need a florist in the future, I 100% know who I am calling. Thank you so much Younghee and sorry for driving you crazy :)

If i could give Younghee 100 stars i would! I cannot say enough how happy and mesmerized we all (bridal party, guests and even the people helping cater the wedding) were with the flowers! She is sooo easy to work with. I emailed her some ideas and she understood exactly what i wanted...i think she envisioned it better than me...seriously...that turned out more beautiful than i had imagined. Although she does not have her own shop and works from home (which i think is genius!) she truly has an AH-mazing talent! She works around your budget and gives you ideas. I am sooo happy i used her! Would totally use her again for the heck of it. :)

I hired Younghee for my wedding in San Francisco. I am super glad I hired her as I received countless complements from our guests about how amazing the florals looked. Younghee is able to deliver quality floral at a very fair cost. Her team was able to work with my planner and perfected every single little detail on what I envisioned our wedding to be. Highly recommend and would love to work with her again in the future!

I am so glad that we found Younghee from yelp. I will recommend her to all my friends. Younghee has very good taste on the style and color arrangement. She also knows the season and related flower very well. Once I told her my wedding date, she showed me all the flowers usually available in that season to see what type and what color the flowers I like. She will also ask me to send her some pictures if I found something I like so that she can understand my style more. Younghee is very on top of her thing, she keep me update with every step. She is also very care about me. I am very touch since sometimes I felt that she treat me like her daughter but not just a customer. I still remember she message me immediate when she saw the flower I always want but the flower supposed to be very hard to find in that winter since my wedding is in mid-November. I know she shop in the flower market every often when it gets close to my wedding date since she try to see if she can find the flower I like. When I heard her voice from the phone, she sounds even more excited than me when she found the flower. In order to find some special classic centerpiece holder for me, she has shopped for difference place as well. During the whole process, I only described what type of style I want, and let Younghee to design everything. It turn out even much better than what I expect. Within our limit budget, Younghee did a fantastic job. My bouquets, boutonnieres and table centerpieces turned out perfect and gorgeous! One thing I need to mention is that my wedding is on Sunday. In order to make my flower fresh, she skipped her Sunday church and delivered flower to me. Thank you so much Younghee! Pick Younghee as your florist, you will never go wrong since she care about you!

Great experience that I'd wholeheartedly recommend to anyone…read more I'm a complete idiot when it comes to flowers but Nina was more than accommodating with my ignorance. On Monday, I spent some time looking on their website to order some flowers for Friday but I was getting nowhere. So I finally decided to give up and give them a call. Nina was patient and friendly explaining what flower combinations are preferred and what's not. But there was only so much that could be explained in words over the phone. So I stopped by during my lunch break. They were very busy. There was a elderly lady in the front and another lady in the back making arrangements and there was a lot of arrangements being made. I didn't know if I could get my questions answered in time but since I was there already, I decided to wait and ask. The older lady who's name was Joanne heard my question and showed me the ready arrangements in the cooler that I could pick out and take with me immediately. When I told her it's for Friday and wanted a custom arrangement but wanted some recommendations, she deferred me to the lady making the arrangements who turned out to be Nina. I felt a bit guilty because she seemed so busy making arrangements and I was only asking questions but Nina was very friendly and accommodating. She explained my options as far as having my arrangements wrapped or placed in a vase. I could ask for any color combination I wanted (within reason and pending availability) and any flower choice preference. If I didn't have any flower or color preference, I was given the option to set a budget and trust the florist. I thanked her for her time and went back to work. After thinking it over, I called Nina back after work. I asked her for pink and peonies because that's my wife's favorite flower. I didn't know what else to ask for so I gave her a budget and request a wrap in pink and silver color. Apparently, peonies are not that readily available and I was a bit confused because I've picked up peonies from Trader Joe's before and they didn't seem that rare. But I had already placed my order so I went with it. Friday came and when I went to pick up my bouquet after work, I was completely blown away with how big it was. She showed me the flowers and the peonies in my arrangement was so much more vibrant and at least twice as big as the ones I've picked up from Trader Joe's. Maybe there's different types of peonies but I'll never buy the ones from Trader Joe's again. What a difference. The colors were exactly what I asked for down to the wrap. It was so big I didn't know how/where to place it on my car and Nina was kind enough to send one of her staff to secure it for me in my vehicle. Great experience from star up finish. It was money well spent and worth ever penny. I'll definitely do it again. My wife absolutely loved them, more than any other flowers I've bought for her, and we even had to get a larger vase to fit the bouquet.

The flowers are great! That's about the only positive thing I can offer. The staff are so…read moreridiculously rude that it feels like the flowers serve as a pittance for the trauma from enduring their abuse. I've literally been treated more warmly by the police giving me a traffic citation. Each time I've been here (a total of 3 times) i have been addressed not with indifference, but scathing condescension and disdain by both (I'm assuming Nina herself) and her aunt. Forget being treated professionally--being treated with NEUTRALITY is wildly aspirational here. It is the type of contempt typically reserved for tax collectors and dinner party guests carrying active tuberculosis. I stopped by in person to inquire about ordering flowers for Mother's Day about 10 days in advance, just to ask some basic questions. After demonstrating the audacity to inquire about baskets and differences between tiers, I was met with audible sighs and eye rolls that escalated into beratement of my ignorance. The level of unprompted venom was astonishing! Despite my unforgivable transgression of inquiring about the basket diameter of the "Country Blooms" arrangement, I hung my head and meekly submitted my order. I called a couple days later to change the time of my pickup and was immediately screamed at, with the level of hostility normally demonstrated during international war: (verbatim) "do you KNOW how many customers we have? We have HUNDREDS! You're just going to have to wait in the pickup line!" I was completely stunned by this. Okay, congrats. Nina did not consider the radical alternative of asking my last name to clarify my order. This defies reason. It genuinely feels like Nina's Flowers is trying to repel new customers. Unless you enjoy being chastised like a cowering servant in a Brontë novel, I highly recommend you spare your dignity (and money) and go literally anywhere else. EDIT: Angel's Flowers in Newark is selling the same products on their website for like half the price.

I'm extremely disappointed with my experience with Fremont Flowers…read more I placed an online order for a bouquet over $100 and selected a pickup time frame for Saturday. After placing the order, I called the shop to confirm everything, and I was told the order was good to go. Nothing indicated that I had to pick up the flowers specifically within that selected time frame, nor did anyone explain that the shop would be closing before I could pick them up. When I arrived at the shop on Saturday to pick up my order, the business was closed. I received no phone call or message letting me know that my flowers needed to be picked up by a certain time, that the shop was closing early, or that my order was still waiting for pickup. Because I needed the flowers that day, I called another local florist. They were incredibly helpful and had a beautiful bouquet ready for me within an hour, the same day. Their customer service was wonderful, and the bouquet was actually less expensive than the one I had purchased from Fremont Flowers. I contacted Fremont Flowers afterward to ask for a refund since I had never received the flowers that day. I was told that I could not receive a refund. Since I was told there would be no refund, I went back the following day to pick up the bouquet. Unfortunately, when I finally received it, I was extremely disappointed. The bouquet consisted of essentially one small grouping of flowers with some greenery and, in my opinion, was nowhere near worth the $100+ I paid. I have photos of the bouquet from Fremont Flowers as well as the bouquet I purchased from another florist for less money. The difference in quality and value is significant. The lack of communication, customer service, and the quality of the final product left me very unsatisfied. I would strongly recommend making sure you fully understand their pickup policy before placing an order.

But it wasn't just the beauty of the arrangements that impressed me most - it was the heart, thought, and care that went into every single piece, and that really shined through on the day of. We inquired over a year in advance after seeing Lana's work at The Club at Ruby Hill wedding open house. Lana was responsive and took the time to go over everything I was envisioning for the day, from centerpieces to arches to aisle pieces to bouquets. When I brought up the idea of a floral chandelier, Lana was so excited to bring my vision to life and work with me to create the chandelier of my dreams, which was refreshing, since some other florists I'd inquired with weren't as enthusiastic about the idea. Lana is also super transparent with pricing, going through line by line what each piece would cost, and I found her rates very reasonable for the luxurious arrangements she offers. I also loved that I'd be able to reuse my ceremony arch and aisle pieces at the reception to surround the sweetheart table, which felt very much worth it. We also got a one-hour in-person design meeting with Lana about a month before the wedding, where she prepped a sample centerpiece and made real-time adjustments to her floral recipe based on our preferences. She was so receptive and detail-oriented, going over small things like where to leave the bouquets and boutonnieres on the day of, plus all the candle and centerpiece base options we could choose from. We were feeling a little burnt out from wedding planning by that point in our lives, but Lana left us with renewed enthusiasm and excitement for our wedding. On wedding day, Lana and her team were there bright and early. I think the first sight of the florals brought me to tears. They worked hard all day to transform the venue into the pink peachy princess wedding of my dreams. The team also added smaller bud vases to my In Loving Memory table and Sweetheart table, which was such a sweet touch. Despite being so busy, Lana still took the time to secure my personal bouquet charm so it wouldn't dangle around and would stay in place. I also found out afterward that our welcome banner was falling due to the wind, and Lana took the time to secure it with rope, even though it was completely outside her scope. It really speaks to her character, and I couldn't be more grateful to Lana and the team for a perfect day. Dream Flowers really was an absolute dream to work with.
