I really could not have been happier! I met with Mirtha during our wedding planning stage. In years past, I had been to a couple of weddings where Mirtha was the florist. After seeing the spectacular arrangements she had put together for those weddings, I KNEW I HAD to have her for my special day. In our initial appointment, Mirtha was very helpful. Her wealth of floral knowledge and enthusiasm made her a joy to deal with. She changed what seemed to me like an overwhelming amount of decisions into something very manageable. I left that first meeting feeling very confident and excited about my wedding flowers! As time was leading up to the wedding, little questions would pop up here and there, and Mirtha was always very quick to respond to my questions and wants. About six weeks before the wedding, I changed my mind completely! I changed the theme, and more importantly, I changed the color scheme. Mirtha took it all in stride and never made me feel like it was a burden. If anything, she seemed MORE excited by the changes and helped me to evolve my new ideas into reality. The day of our wedding, everything was perfect! Mirtha arrived early in the morning to drop off our bouquets and then was off to decorate the church and reception hall. Walking into the church for the first time, I could not have imagined a more beautiful setup. Mirtha had done everything exactly as we had planned. From the spectacular altar arrangements she designed to the delicate rose petals we stepped on walking down the aisle, nothing could have been better! Mirtha's amazing attention to detail meant that our flowers turned out to be exactly what I wanted and far, far nicer than I could have imagined. She coordinated with our reception staff, our cake lady, and our church to make sure that there was time to make everything as beautiful as possible. She really put in 100%, and our wedding seriously looked the part. Our guests and families absolutely loved the beautiful centerpieces and haven't stopped talking about them yet. I recently found my wedding venue and on their preferred vendors list was Asiel. I immediately came…read moreacross this gorgeous picture of a dark, sultry setting with candles and wrought iron gates and was mesmerized. I see it on Pinterest often and had to reach out and see how much this beautiful setup could be. I expected expensive but hoped to be surprised. I was shocked. I only inquired about the main draw of the photos for me. The entry gate, the iron arch, and the aisle candles. Meg was superbly friendly and delivered an estimate covering what I had asked for. The estimate was completely disheartening. Since I'm sure there are many others who are curious how much this look costs, I will share what I was quoted. Entry gates when you walk in- $450 Iron arch in front of fireplace- $750 12 clusters of floating candles in cylinders- $540 if displayed in clusters. Otherwise $10 each individual like displayed in photo ($45 for each cluster) New/refresh candles for cylinders to use as table centerpiece ($72 for 12 new candles) Delivery- $495 Installation- $575 Transfer (from ceremony to reception) -$295 Pick-up $325 Plus tax. This comes out to roughly $4,000 and still doesn't include curtain, tall candle holding pieces, and flowers. They have exclusive florists as well (probably them I'm assuming) so who knows how much that would end up being. Beautiful, but not at all reasonable. My guess with flowers and the other candle holders and curtains puts this look in the 10k region. Too bad. I love this look so so much, but to charge $1,690 for delivery/install/pick-up is just crazy. Granted they are coming from San Jose... but still. Can I just set it up myself?? I'm very curious to see wedding photos of this look to see if a 10k 30 minute ceremony is worth it. Just hard for me to imagine because I haven't seen any photos of someone actually using this look yet. Hopefully someday someone can afford it and post online. My rating is three stars because it's a fair enough company. Their philosophy states that the price tag reflects the "value" of their services that have been around for 20 years. Meg was also kind and took the time to build me an estimate which was much appreciated. The main downfall of this company is that I can't afford it. If you can, I'd recommend giving them a shot. If their professional photos reflect their actual work I'd say they are worth it. Till then... I'm still looking.

That person was Helen. Helen was such an incredible source of support throughout the entire planning process, and we truly could not have been happier with how everything turned out. We had the most perfect wedding day, and there is no doubt that so much of that was because of Helen's presence, professionalism, organization, and her impressive ability to wrangle our wedding party and keep everyone where they needed to be. Helen and her assistant, Sandy, were constantly working behind the scenes to make sure everything stayed on schedule, every detail was taken care of, and most importantly, that we were taken care of. There were so many things happening that day that we never even had to think about because they were already handling them. At one point, I realized I had absolutely no idea where if my vendors had arrived, or what was happening because I had been tucked away getting ready and hadn't even met some of the vendors yet. Before I could really start worrying, Helen immediately reassured me that everyone was accounted for or on their way and that everything was under control. That moment perfectly sums up what it was like having her there: I could actually let go, trust her, and enjoy my wedding instead of worrying about all the moving pieces behind the scenes. For someone who normally has a very hard time giving up control, that was probably one of the greatest gifts anyone could have given me on our wedding day. I was able to be completely present, enjoy every moment with my husband, our families, and our friends, and know that Helen and Sandy had everything else covered.
