Fortune cookies and crispy wonton chips

Service was friendly, but food took a while and we had to pass the drive thru and park near the entrance and wait for our food. The car behind us got their food before we did.The milk tea was good, and it came blended. We for the lunch specials and the rice portion is tiny, but the rest is fine. The honey garlic chicken flavor wasn't bad, but the breading was generic and falls off. They also gave crispy wonton chips and broth. For a drive thru, it's not bad, and it's on par for a 3 star Chinese restaurant.

Food was awful, people were friendly so I feel bad about the hard truth. Fried rice was bland flavorless, we didn't eat it. Lo mien had more flavor but chicken was weird so I only had a few noodles. Crab ragoons were all cream cheese, maybe a spec or so, see for yourself in the pic. But save your money people.

This place is amazing! I had the beef lomein for lunch, came with rice, soup and an egg rolll! And got some dumplings with it. The dumplings disappeared instantly into my stomach . I love this place and will definitely be returning.

    Crispy wontons with dipping sauce

Passing through so this review is based on one visit. They bring out a rather large amount of a sweet red dipping sauce for the fried wontons, which were nice and crispy. Our wonton and egg drop soups were very good. Teriyaki beef was very good and so was the vegetables with noodles. Egg rolls were especially good. Our waitress was handling the front by herself. Wasn't able to clean empty tables right away, but she hustled and waited on everyone in an impressive amount of time. We would go back if in the area again.

I was certain there couldn't be a great vegetarian-friendly restaurant out in the middle of nowhere. I was wrong. A small Southern town like Chiefland is likely to forgive my error, even if they do throw in a snarky "bless your heart". And I'd deserve that. There were so many tofu options that I'd almost come back out here just to try more of them. And why not? US 19 is a picturesque drive. Better yet, there are fresh fruit smoothies. (We shared a watermelon smoothie and next time I am NOT sharing. Yum!)

Yummy vegetarian option for a long drive on a desolate highway. Fresh vegges and tofu with plenty of spice to heat up my rice noodle soup. I had the option to choose egg or rice noodles. I love rice noodles and made that selection. I have to be honest before I was served, I was a little sketchy...the parking lot and dining room were empty and a wasp was buzzing around inside. I trusted yelps reviews though and I'm glad I did. They even serve the old Sokol crunchy noodles at the table with warm sweet n sour sauce. I was pleasantly surprised for Chiefland! If you like Asian cuisine- this is your place.

It's really hard to find considering there is another Asian restaurant called "Miya's" in the same plaza. They are at the Sears end of the Winn Dixie plaza, set in their own lot, closer to the road. The cons: My smoothie was wrong, albeit delicious. My soup came with the wrong noodles, I had to ask for my egg roll three times. The rest: We were served quickly and their "chips" they serve are DELICIOUS and the duck sauce is warm which is cool. The pupu platter is huge but the teriyaki beef was basically just fatty bits. spring rolls have shrimp in them. Cucumber salad was good but could've been fresher. My shrimp noodle soup was amazing even if the noodles were wrong. I got fried tofu in brown sauce and it's not deep-fried, just pan-fried with no coating at all. It was just OK. General Tso's chicken looked beautiful served in a fried shell but I didn't try it.

My husband and I shared the dumplings and both loved them. The texture was perfect and the flavor was really good. The portions overall felt like a great size and everything tasted freshly made. That said, the vegetable fried rice and dumplings were both a 5 out of 5. The dumpling dipping sauce was honestly one of the best I have ever had and really stood out. The staff was very nice and pleasant. The space is on the smaller side, which was fine since we went during a slower time. We were not able to choose our table, which would have been nice, and while you are not right on top of other people, the tables are close enough that it can be hard to have a private conversation. There were a couple things that held it back. I was served a drink that was close to eight months expired. I did not make a big deal about it and still drank it, but that is something they definitely need to stay on top of. Also, the menu said Pepsi products but only Coke was available. With better inventory checks and a more updated menu, this place could easily be a five star spot. It is just not quite there yet.

This is one…read moreof the first restaurants I ever ate at in the area, and I make it a point to visit here at least once every trip. Bill's is a family-owned barbecue restaurant located on the main road in "downtown" Chiefland. It has a private parking lot, and there are multiple entrances/exits both on the main road, and the road that runs behind the building. On this day, we visited for lunch on a Monday in June around noon. There is definitely a regular lunch crowd that eats at this place, so it was lively. However, we had no problem getting a table right away. I have personally never had to wait for a table when dining here. For seating, there are primarily booths with some regular tables. When I visit, I typically get whatever the Daily Special is. These seem to stay the same week-to-week, and since this was a Monday it was the Pork Sandwich with the Salad Bar for $11.25. However, they have a large menu with various lunch specials, salads, sandwiches, and other barbeque items to choose from. There are also family packs and take-out options available. I personally love the Salad Bar here. My favorite lettuce is iceberg, and that is the base they offer. They have most of the typical toppings you would expect to find on a Salad Bar, along with some pasta/broccoli/chicken salad-type offerings. There are several different dressings, along with crackers and chips to pair with your creations. For the Pork Sandwich, you get to choose between a bun or garlic toast. I always opt for the garlic toast, as it seems many other do also. It is not pulled pork, but rather thicker slices piled on the bread. The sandwich does not come with sauce, but on the table there are three different barbeques to choose from - regular, sweet, or hot. As typical, the sandwich was great and the meat was not dry at all. Our server was kind and took great care of us during our lunch. The staff seems to get to know their customers, as it appears they recognize most patrons when they are coming in. I enjoyed this particular visit to Bill's, as I typically do. Especially with the daily and lunch specials, I believe it is a good value for quality food. It has a small town atmosphere that is comforting, making you feel right at home. I would definitely recommend giving Bill's a try if you find yourself in the area, or are looking for a new spot to try.

The boa buns were soft, the pork was cooked perfectly, and the hoisin sauce at the bottom of the bun was amazing. There were vegetables on top, including cucumbers that tasted sweet and carrots. The vegetables were fresh and tasted great with everything else. We also ordered the crab Rangoon which I personally really liked. I don't like fish, and this crab Rangoon must have had a large amount of cream cheese base. I personally really enjoyed it since the crab wasn't very prominent. The filling was creamy, the Rangoon was crunchy, and the sweet and spicy sauce it came with made a perfect combo. For our meal, we ordered the chicken pad Thai. Unfortunately, it didn't really meet our expectations. The pad Thai was sitting on top of a sauce at the bottom, which tasted like a hoisin sauce base. The taste was very minimal, which was disappointing. The noodles were soft, almost like they were overcooked. The chicken was cooked well and lightly seasoned (which worked perfectly for the pad Thai). The vegetables on top of the pad Thai were also very fresh and you could tell they were freshly cut. The lack of peanut/pad thai taste was the most disappointing part that unfortunately lost it for us. The service was good. When we walked in, we were immediately greeted and were able to select our own table. The inside is decently small, with around 8 tables.
