At that point, the only thing we had selected was our venue. Other than that, we honestly had no idea where to begin, what needed to be done, or which vendors to choose. Just thinking about everything involved was overwhelming and stressful. After we officially began working with JK Wedding Events, Jimmy, the founder, introduced us to our wedding coordinator, April Lee. Because of the short timeline, my wife and I felt extremely rushed and were constantly thinking, "How are we going to get all of this done?" But Jimmy and April continually reassured us that everything would be okay--and they were right. What we appreciated most was that they never made us feel pressured or bossed around. Instead, they guided us with the heart of a teacher. They patiently walked alongside us, explained what needed to happen, and helped us make decisions throughout the entire process. That was exactly what we were looking for. They helped us navigate practically every major vendor decision, including photography and videography, hair and makeup, catering, flowers, draping, tableware rentals, our wedding cake, and even recommendations for wedding dresses and tuxedos. Honestly, if my wife and I had tried to research and coordinate all of those vendors by ourselves, it probably would have caused so many headaches and arguments that we might not have had a wedding at all! Of course, planning any wedding will come with some ups and downs, but JK Wedding Events minimized the stress as much as anyone possibly could. When our wedding day finally arrived in July 2026, everything was on point. All of the vendors understood the plan, everything was executed smoothly, and April did an amazing job keeping the day on schedule and making sure everything continued flowing without any issues. Jimmy also served as our MC and DJ during the reception, and he was fantastic! He kept our guests engaged, entertained, and laughing while maintaining a fun atmosphere throughout the night. His music selections kept everyone enjoying the vibe and made the celebration even more memorable. The reason for dropping this down to 2 stars was due to the very negative experience I had with the tailor (Maria of VIP Couture Bridal Alterations) they highly recommended. Going above a recommendation, without asking me they actually pre-coordinated that Maria to come to the bridal shop as I picked up my dress so she could perform the initial fitting there and take it back with her to begin working on it. I had trusted them up to this point, so continued to trust their insistence on working with Maria. Although Maria had 7 weeks, my dress never fit correctly, and the whole thing wasn't completed until the night (10 pm drop off) before I left for my wedding. The delays and uncertainty caused me tremendous stress the week before my wedding, to the point that I was losing sleep and searching for backup dresses. My last fitting lasted over two hours because I had to stay and watch her finish the work. I believe she had taken on too many clients, and unfortunately, I ended up being the one who suffered for it. I do definitely recommend Winnie Bridal as place to search for your dress, but do not recommend using their references for other services. She worked insanely well with our venue coordinator, which smoothed over so many details we didn't even need to be there for. 3) Mom energy. Jessica made sure my husband and I had everything we needed and more during the events - food, water, rest, shade, phones, you name it. She was super patient and respectful with accommodating our parents' requests, too. 4) Management capability. We had a big fat South Asian wedding consisting of 4 events over 2 days with a thousand moving parts. Jessica coordinated all the vendor contracts and on-site set up. She and her husband themselves were present for the duration of all events, which made all the difference. This is the person you want when something goes wrong. From having an emergency photographer on speed dial to adjusting the timeline on the spot, Jessica kept things in motion. She brought our visions to life, whether it was through decor mockups, adding sticker decals to our welcome mirror, or negotiating quotes and extra setup time & venue space. My husband and I were able to truly enjoy our day and did not have to worry about details because Kristen made notes of how we wanted things and carried them out accordingly. We could not be more pleased with her and her team. Leading up to our wedding, Kristen was always very responsive and provided us with suggestions. She listened to our vision and led us in the direction that was best for us. She contacted all of our vendors and coordinated with them so that each vendor knew our timeline and vision.
