Thank God for Kristen! My husband & I were unsure if we needed a wedding coordinator for our small wedding of 60. We were certain we'd be okay with the help of our family & the restaurant event planner. Clearly we were wrong. Kristen helped in ways we never imagined. She CC'd me in all email confirmations with vendors, she provided a "Day of Wedding Emergency Kit", she gave practical advise on where things should be placed in the venue based off where outlets were placed & where photos would be look best (Again-- stuff we didn't even bother to think about), she made sure we were fed during photos, she would subtly cue when the MC had to make his announcements, she ensured nobody would bother me the day of the wedding, she remembered our favorite cocktail & provided that to us right after we got married-- she truly outdid herself. Because of her, my husband & I felt so pampered, so regal, so well taken care of-- truly just so high class. She is just an all around kind and genuine person; someone you can really trust. I really enjoyed collaborating with her. Thank you Kristen. Thank you thank you thank you!

Words cannot express how thankful we are for Kristen and her team! They were a dream come true for our wedding! From the start, she listened to what our vision was and was easy to contact for anything, even if the wedding was still months away. She is very knowledgeable in all things wedding related, especially about what the current trends are and vendors for all budgets. Kristen was flexible with scheduling meetings and even met with us late at night due to our work schedules. When we met for our final walkthrough at the venue, she gave us great suggestions and made us even more excited for our wedding. She created a detailed timeline and connected with all of our vendors for all of the final details. She was at our rehearsal and led the whole thing, telling us where to stand, how to walk, how the day would go. We were able to give her and her team the decorations on the day of the rehearsal so that we wouldn't have to worry about it on the day of. On the day of the wedding, she stopped by the hotel we were getting ready at to check in with us and took my dress so that I wouldn't have to stress about getting it to the venue. Kristen made sure we didn't run into each other until the first look, made sure we were fed, and coordinated with all of the vendors to make sure everything was set up as we envisioned it. Our wedding day was SO perfect. She made sure every little hiccup was resolved quickly so that we weren't even aware of it. We can honestly say that we were not stressed at all on the day of the wedding because she took control and did such an amazing job. So many of our guests are still raving about how smooth and fun our wedding was and it is honestly all thanks to Kristen and her team.

I've personally known Kristen since high school -- fast forward to over a decade later, when I found out that she was a wedding coordinator/planner, I RAN over to her and asked her to be ours for our big day. No surprises, my (now) husband and I have absolutely NO regrets. Kristen is extremely upbeat, calm, personable, EXTREMELY organized, experienced, patient, adaptable, and the list goes on. She was also transparent with us from the start, informing us that it would be her first wedding at our venue (Coto de Caza racquet club); however, she exuded so much confidence and reassured us that that would not be an issue. Through our wedding planning meetings and discussions, I've learned that she had reached out to her planner friends who had previous experience(s) with our venue to get some tips, which literally tells you what type of person she is :') She truly cares about her work and her clients. Given the number of years of her experience, Kristen is extremely insightful when you are planning for your signage and other details. For instance, I had initially envisioned card board seating chart signs and place cards; however, she shared with me that with an outdoor wedding, those signs can be blown away (it's the little things but when you're a bride/groom planning for millions of other details, you don't even realize things like this!). She just has a calming presence that reassures you every step of the way during this process, especially during the week of your wedding, the night before, and morning/day of. In addition, during the week of our wedding, she handled all of the finer/final details with our vendors herself, which was a huge help for us, as we were already stressed with so many other things. She also made sure the day of our wedding went as smoothly as possible and had all of the important things packed and ready to go before the night was over. Anytime I had asked her for something, she had already done the deed! Even my bridal party shared with me that Kristen and her assistant the day of were A++++. I am so grateful to have worked with Kristen for our big day because it was truly one of the best days of our lives. Without her, I would not have been smiling ear to ear as evidenced in our photos from that day. You guys will NOT regret choosing Kristen and the HomeRunEvents team to be your vendor, I pinky promise!

Late delivery + communication issues, but the delivery crew was great…read more I used Rental Avenue for furniture rentals for an event and spent around $7,000. Unfortunately, the experience was incredibly stressful due to logistics and communication. The delivery showed up about 6 hours late, which completely threw off our setup timeline. Because they were so behind, I ended up having to stay at the property until 10:00 PM just to get everything placed and ready. To make matters worse, communication with the office was really difficult -- at one point, we had to have the delivery guys call the office repeatedly just to get someone on the phone and get direction/answers. That should never be on the customer (or the crew) to chase down. I'll say this: the delivery guys were honestly great. They were professional, kind, and clearly doing their best under the circumstances. We also ran into an issue with the table/chair heights. I ordered tall chairs, but I had selected shorter cocktail tables. They did help fix the issue, which I appreciate -- but the way it was handled made me feel like I was being scolded for it. When you're spending thousands and already dealing with a massively late delivery, the last thing you need is attitude. A simple "no worries, we'll get it sorted" would have gone a long way. Overall: great delivery crew, but the late delivery, hard-to-reach office, and the tone when resolving the setup issue made this a frustrating experience. I really wanted this to be a smooth, professional rental process, but it wasn't. I would not recommend.
