    This contractor came to my home more than 3 times last summer each time a different worker. This started April 2022. It is now February 2023 and the air conditioner again does not work. I opened another case, when meters called they offered to come that same morning while I was already at work. I informed them I completed the appointment request they sent and I am only available in the afternoon, any day afternoon! The worker said she couldn't book me for afternoon until all mornings are booked up. I asked if they could just call me back once they have called everyone for the day any day and book me for any afternoon. I left a message for the supervisor as well. No one has contacted me again. Instead they put my ticket on hold with my home warranty company. The only thing Myers was interested in was proving the system wasn't broken due to their negligence. James the technician at my house even wrote it was caused by a smart thermostat improperly installed! HOWEVER the thermostat was already installed when they initially came to my home in April. I had to show him the proof of when I paid someone to install it in 2021 more than 6 months prior. James took off my smart thermostat and installed a basic thermostat and left. Now here we are with the next hot season and the air conditioner fails to work. Awful customer service and awful technicians.

    Lowest Temp it got to in my daughters bedroom and main bedroom

    (called 7/23) Home Insurance appointed this company to our emergency service request due to our AC not working on our 2nd level on . They sent a tech out the next day ( 7/24) they promised a call 30 min prior to arrival but called me 10 min so I had to leave work immediately to get home (25 min away). I get home and the tech was not there but was at the wrong address ( AHS fault). Tech finally came and assessed the problem realized he didn't have the part so left to warehouse to get all the fuses they had but came back to say they didn't have the one I needed. Told me he would turn in the paperwork next morning and get a call to reschedule but never did ( I had to call). Receptionist told me they haven't received the paperwork to get the part approved by supervisor so would have to wait 48 hours (2 nights in 80 temp sleeping). Never called me Saturday (3 nights + Sunday 4 nights). Called Monday receptionist told me still haven't received paperwork for approval. i would have to wait another 24-48 hours. 5 Nights sleeping in 80 temps with my pregnant wife and 3 year old daughters. Had to buy 3 fans to cool her room. Finally calls me Tuesday to schedule a appointment for Friday 8/2. I said I'm sorry we can't sleep like this anymore I need something sooner. Last night 7/30 temps got to 84 degrees. All for 1 fuse they need to pickup!

    Incompetent boobs. Dishonest as well. Had an appointment with them fir a month. No show. No call. Use someone else.

I reached out to Dunn initially through a Google search (after hours) and received an email and text message reply within 24hrs. I appreciate the prompt reply. I called the next day and their phone system used an automated AI response initially, but I was then rerouted and able to speak with a service person. They dispatched a technician, diagnosed my issues, sent quote estimates to my email, followed up with a confirmed booking, and came out within the next day with the proper part to service my broken system. Before the serviceman arrived, I received text updates with pictures of who to expect and with their estimated time of arrival. The communication, timeliness and efficient service provided by Dunn was exceptional. They charge a standard assessment fee which is factored into the overall cost of service. I would recommend Dunn if you're local to their service areas.

Given all the things that had to be done along the way, the manager gave me a good deal on a couple of the other issues that were repaired, which made feel they were very value conscious. Among the firms that I reached out to through Yelp, they were the first on the site and ready to start work. I'd definitely use them again.

    Jan31-2026 had someone give me an estimate to fix my house heater unit he found out it was blower…read morerelay that had to be replaced he quoted me $300 But he had to wait until Monday to get the part the coldest weekend in birmingham was ahead of us so I called one hour air . the technician showed up on time looked at the unit and said it was in fact the blower relay he brought in the part I stood next to him all the time he also replaced 3-4 short cables . Went outside looked at my unit bent down and touched the hoses and took a picture. Came back with paperwork and told me it was $530 when I told him that was way too expensive he had me sign paperwork I asked what was that for he said is acknowledging the problem is fixed and Said thst if I didn't want to pay he could take off the part and leave . Well I didn't want to freeze over the week end and figured I could talk to his supervisor and come to an agreement of some kind . Well I was wrong I have called Kip Nails supposedly he is the regional manager many times and he has not returned my calls . On my invoice which I received email after he had left . the technician added 265.00 for voltage rewire which he did not make me aware of or I didn't see him doing . If you must deal with this company have the technician send you the invoice before they leave don't leave them alone while they do the work and never pay them cash or with a check because the first thing they do is overcharge you then they cash your check and then they never return your calls . I feel taken advantage of so disappointed.
