I have been going to this place for about 3 years. I don't know what has happened recently but this place has fallen apart. I got contacts for the first time recently and they gave me boxes with the wrong contact prescriptions inside. I couldn't figure out why I couldn't see for days. The woman at the front desk is so rude and put out when you call - it's like she wants people not to go there. I am still waiting for them to transfer my prescription to another place - it's been a week. The guy they used to have up there was phenomenal. Not happy with this visit. I am a regular patient at this optometrist's office. I arrived early, walked around looking at eyeglasses an eventually sat down waiting to be called. Another patient with the same appointment time was called first. No problem. Another patient walked in late for her appointment but was called for her appointment first. When I walked up to the receptionist to inquire why I was still waiting, she said I would be called back soon. An assistant appeared shortly. She took a few pictures of my eye and then said we have no rooms available and I was asked to sit back in the waiting room area. I was eventually called back again and now I am waiting again for the optometrist. I guess my time is not valuable to this office anymore. You would think someone would say the optometrist is running late. Or, make the late person wait since they were not respectful to be here on time. None of this occurred. I may have to look for another optometrist. read more

I thought I would like this new partnership with Eyes Nouveau but it turns out an awful experience than I expected. They replaced every good products to their products which isn't iconic as what Eyes Nouveau offers before. The new opticians doesn't even know how to align your glasses, they couldn't even asses the problem and you have to tell them what the problem is, only one remain that is good here and his name is Chris. Their COVID-19 procedure is very strict, they lock the doors and you will have to set up an appointment where as normally we would usually walk-in before. Overall, I would say it got a downgrade and I don't think i'm coming back here. read more

Wouldn't recommend this specific location. I have a crazy work schedule so I called a little after 9am on Saturday 5/11 to see if there are any available last minute appointments. She's says there's one at 2:40 so I said I'll take it, and as she's proceeding to get my insurance information she is just being rude acting like I'm bothering her, as if it isn't her job to kindly interact with customers as the first point of sale for a business, which is the first impression of a place. I've been to this chain eye place, different location, but chose to schedule with this company a year later because of the ease and how smoothly it went last time. As soon as I hung up the phone I just went ahead and called the next closest MyEyeDr, a whole 5 minutes away off of Carroll, and the receptionist was wonderful, got me in within the hour, and I had an amazing optometrist. You should give your receptionist some tips and tricks on how to speak to potential customers without an attitude and this store wouldn't have lost a sale, because there's about 20 MyEyeDr in my local vicinity, this location isn't special read more

I am new to the Fort Worth area and I didn't have an optometrist here yet. I decided to try them out because it was close to where I lived and with Insurance ended up paying over $150. After a long back-and-forth conversation with somebody on the phone about the extra services I was never informed about, nothing was changed. Honestly I have never paid more than $50 for an eye exam. I had an appoint at My Eye Dr a couple of months ago. I had an appointment, but it was approximately 1.5 hours after my appointment before I was called back to do the first part of the eye exam. I didn't mind too much, because it gave me time to look for frames. I did notice that the whole time I was there, the office staff seemed to be playing "grab ass" (flirting) with each other instead of being attentive to customers. When I finally finished my exam, and had my glasses picked out, it came time to settle my bill. I have vision insurance, but it will either pay for contacts, or glasses but not both. Knowing this, I paid for the contact fitting the day I was in the office so my insurance would pick up the bill for the glasses. Despite paying for the contact fitting, they billed to insurance anyway. My insurance paid it, so they refunded my by check in the mail the cost of the contact fitting of $40. But then turned around and billed my $600 for the glasses. When I called my insurance to find out why they didn't pay for the glasses, I was told it was because the contact fitting had been billed to them, but if they would rebill it correctly, they would pay for the glasses. When I called My EYE Dr billing they told me they would take care of it and put my account on hold. The following week, I started getting demand bills in mail, email and via text. I called again to find out why they hadn't rebilled insurance as they had promised and was on phone for over an hour, because every time they said they would look at notes from previous week they hung up on me and I would have to start over again. I finally demanded to speak to a supervisor who said they would put notes on my account but didn't fill they could do anything about it since it had already been billed that way. But they recommended that I call my insurance company and have them call their insurance department. Mistakes happen I understand that. The problem is that something similar happened 2 years ago when I went to My Eye Dr, and they kept sending me bills in the mail. When I tried to understand why I owed money that time, they couldn't tell me. Based on the information they were providing me, and the receipts I had for payments made, they actually owed me a refund. I spent 8 months trying to get them to send me an itemized recap so I could see why they thought I owed them money and they never would (or could) do that. I am done with them. I will find another provider that is covered by my insurance. Convenience of weekend appointments isn't worth the headache of their incompetence on billing. read more
