They either got foggy before lunch or actually hurt. I read about Dr. Bass on a Facebook keratoconus group and made an appointment. I am so glad I did. He and his staff are so nice. He tried some tester lenses on me in his office and found the right fit for me. When the lenses with my prescription came they were great, but Dr Bass thought he could get them better, and he did. I can wear my new lenses all day long with no fogging and no pain and I can see so much better than I could with my glasses. If you need a new eye doctor definitely give Dr. Bass a try.

WARNING! These are…read morethe facts: I just walked out of an appointment. They claimed they took my insurance; I made an appointment. Arranged to take time off work to come here. I arrive and they tell me that I have to pay a $39 fee for some random eye scan technology. AND it is not covered by insurance. They will not take no for an answer. I read the paperwork, and it said it was required. They said the Dr will not see you unless you agree and get the scan. So, I left. Those were the facts. This is not an opinion. This is what literally happened to me. The following is my opinion based on consumer protection, patient care and ethical principles: This is the issue: They wait until you are there to tell you. This was not told to me on the phone when I made the appt. They could have told me it was required. But they prey on people who, like me, took time off of work so the people feel desperate. Very predatory. I have paid my eye insurance money so that I can get a visit there for no charge. That was what the agreement with the provider and the insurance company was. In my life, I have never had this eye scan done. I don't care if the "dr" thinks it's great. It's an attempt to open your wallet. I have had it offered by other optometrists and it is always OPTIONAL. In fact, Eyeworks, down Hulen, offers this scan for the same price but it is OPTIONAL. NOT REQUIRED. This is the age of surcharges, fees, taxes and tips. DO NOT GO HERE. There are plenty of other optometrists in Fort Worth that do not attempt to tack on last minute charges. Oh! Also, while I was in the facility, the people locked the door. Maybe for safety? However, this is against OSHA law and against fire code. Please consider that as well. If the place catches on fire, you are locked in.

I usually just end up getting the cheap frames and end up only paying for lenses to go as "cheap as possible". My glasses were ready really fast. I was told the glasses did not reflect the prescription I was given. So, I went back to eyebuydirect.com were I purchased & passed on that information. Eyebuydirect provided me with another pair which felt the same to me as the 1st, so I took them to the Sawyer to verify, along with the 1st pair. I was told they both did indeed match my prescription! To say the least, I was not pleased to hear that. I was given no explanation as to why I was told the 1st pair did not reflect my prescription. I was told not to worry & I was given an appointment to have another eye exam, for a new prescription. I sent used my re-issued prescription to get new glasses from eyebuydirect.com The 3rd pair did not work either, so another appointment at the eye center to find out why! I was told I should have cataract surgery. I said the Dr told me I did not need surgery, @ my 1st screening appointment. Then I was told since I was satisfied with my current eye glasses I purchased over 2 years ago, they would just re-issue it again, as a revised prescription. I mentioned that I was concerned the vendor will not provide a free replacement since they already did 3 times! The response I received was, don't worry they will, they do for a re-issued prescription. Well, No they don't, not after they did for re-issued 2 times already. My experience with Sawyer Eye Center of Weatherford couldn't be more frustrating & I am paying the price for it, Not Sawyer. I will not be going back ever & I do not recommend Sawyer Eye Center.

I've only ever had glasses. I've tried a couple of samples in 2023. my appointment was at 9am and when it was t to take care of frames, checking out etc. I was passed from person to person who all appeared be too busy to take care of me. HIPPA seemed to be no concern either. They scheduled me for a 6 week follow up. When I called back the following Monday to express my concerns and ask for a copy of my glasses prescription, my address was not even correct. the city wasn't even close other than it started with the sane letter. I did ask for refund on my lenses. I asked when I was going to contacts since I pad fur that exam and they said after my glasses came back and I could see!!?? What? why? I requested samples so I could start that process of finding contacts. when they arrived o was contacted to schedule a fitting. The week prior to my fitting the Dr called and left a message that he was just going to mail them to me and since I use drops for my dry eyes... WHAT! I don't and never have used drops in my eyes. I've never been diagnosed with dry eyes. Do they even have MY chart. i called the office back shortly after receiving the dr's message stating I could pick the contacts up that day after work vs waiting however long it would take to receive them by mail. The lady who answered the phone said the contacts weren't even there and I told her the dr had just called to say he was mailing them. She found them and when I went in to pick them up I was asking questions because I was given 2 different samples for each eye. Remember-not a previous contact user, and my perception was they did not care for me and I was asking stupid questions. When I got home I looked at the 2 samples. 2 had "L" and 2 "R" but I did not have any idea which sample to wear together. When I called back that same day I expressed how each time I had dealings with this place my info was either wring or they being condensing towards me. I guess telling the truth and correcting your information when wrong is just considered being condescending. The lady proceeded to tell me each time they were so nice to me I was the most condescending person she's ever dealt with and how all their patients have had great experiences. I told her I had no concern about everyone else because I only had my experience, with my wrong address, and eye drops I don't use and medical conditions I also don't have to be of great concern. If I had let the Dr mail my contacts someone in Bridgeport would have received them. Again I guess being honest in my experience and expecting explanations of services comes off rude and condescending, then that's me! But if your looking for incompetence in staff and mediocre, at best, customer service, and little to no attention to detail, this is the place to go! I am an office manager in the dental field and I expect the same customer service I provide, attention to detail!! Not lack of detail, repeatedly. i also was asked questions over the phone by Stacy and several times I tried to answer her but she just kept cutting me off. First of all, the doctor was great, he answered all of my questions and was very helpful and kind. The sales people on the other hand were a bit pushy (they operate separately based on their website). The frames selection is huge and all glasses are nice and of course luxury brand. With that being said prices go up to 599 for frames, however, they normally run a special of 50% off which you still pay a hefty price (compared to online prices). This last visit I strictly went for exam only, however, the sales guy who assisted me was unhelpful. He did not want to provide my pd and just hand wrote my prescription really messy. I wanted to take a photo of the actual prescription print out as it was clear. The sales guy stated I had no right to take a photo of my own prescription. Although I paid for it, so it didn't make any sense. My guess is that they wanted me to purchase frames there and not go else where. Making my prescription difficult to understand as it was very ilegible. Not coming back due to the bad experience.
