Went in to for my yearly check up and to order contacts I usually go with Dr.kuhar but this time I…read morewent with the other doctor he was testing my prescription I kept telling him I couldn't see so he just gave up and he never got it to where can see so when I got my contacts it was the wrong prescription I had to go back again with Drkuhar this time and he took his time and got my right prescription he ordered me my trials and when I called back to order my yearly contacts with the right prescription they were trying to charge me again $600 to order these new contacts even though I had already paid last time when they messed up and gave me to wrong prescription I had spoke with Margaret and she was rude and not helpful at all I was explaining to her the situation and she just said it was weird and seem like she didn't want to order me the right prescription she was telling me only one of my prescription had changed but no it was both I'm not sure if these people are not communicating with each other or writing notes but this is very unprofessional she kept saying she would have to talk to her supervisor so I asked her if she can ask her and she said she wasn't in so I asked when would she be in so you can ask her because this is something I need to know as someone who is -11 with stigmatism I need to be able to see and she said she couldn't tell me and thats it she could've been more useful and put me on hold and ask someone else that maybe would've known but no she didn't seem too interested in helping when they are the ones who messed up. When I told Drkuhar about it he said we would just need to return my old prescription and they would order me the new prescription I don't see why they would make me pay twice or not put in more effort to fix the problem they caused if the first Dr would've just took his time and listen but since they already took my money the last time they probably don't care to help me actually see. Don't think I would recommend this place to friends and family

Funny thing is, I never received a single call before that. I even let her know I had no missed calls at all, but according to them, they "did" call me. And the best part? The only way to get contacts again is by getting another exam... which means paying out of pocket all over again. Lesson learned: don't wait for their call -- it's better to call them yourself. Maybe then I would've actually gotten them.

And they also thought it was weird this place wouldn't give me mine. Nice way to loose a new customer and a many year return customer. Also this seems to be a location problem. Never had this problem at any of the other locations. This place gives scam and money hungry vibes. I went here for an eye exam. It went okay until I got to check out. I had asked the doctor about getting my pupillary distance because I order my glasses online. He said it will come out when I check out okay. Then when I got done putting my contacts in I had to ask someone who was going to help me check out. Dylan was supposed to help me. I sat down and I told him I usually get contacts at Costco because it's cheaper. He typed for awhile on the computer and it was awkward silence. Then he said yea it's probably cheaper okay here's your total. (6months of contacts were going to cost about $80 - cost co quoted the same $80 for 9 months........) I paid for the exam. Then came my prescription and my PD is blank. I questioned about it and they said "it's a liability" to give it to me because I was not purchasing glasses with them.... What? A bunch of the people working were questioning me and their attitudes were not nice. One lady called Walmart to assure me they wouldn't give it to me either. Little did they know I went to Walmart out of state before. I've been wearing glasses since I was 10 and I've never had a problem asking for my PD. My boyfriend also has never had this problem. He had an eye exam (no glasses) with americas best in Colorado and they gave him his PD then. No problem. It's a problem because I'm not spending my money with you though. Interesting. Also mind you he brought his old frames in and they charged a $20.00 "handling fee". Dylan had wandered away at this point and they had to find someone else who thankfully was more pleasant. I honestly cannot believe the service here. It's unfortunate. Very unfortunate. I noticed this sign on the way out reading : "whatever it takes. Our commitment to you to do whatever it takes to ensure you're completely satisfied with the product and services we provided you today." I would also like to note they conveniently didn't send me a survey but did send one to my boyfriend. They also had the guts to schedule another eye exam for next year which I did not consent to. How interesting they wouldn't take a simple measurement for customer satisfaction. Seems if all you want to do is throw away money. This is your place. Needless to say I won't be a return customer. Do better. *edit* I did email the corporate email but it's been a few days with no response from corporate. Sara J did email me back... which makes me think the email is fake.... Great customer service Seriously save your time and money. Don't go here.

As a new mom of 2 with a newborn, things slip your mind and I forgot to reschedule my appointment…read more I get a EXTREMELY RUDE message so I call the office. I was informed the dr was in charge of the messages. I asked to speak with him and he refused I could hear him in the background saying he didn't want to speak to me. I then get a call back from the doctor and he was still rude saying if I can't give a courtesy call he doesn't want me as a patient. Mind you this is my first impression of this man. I am glad I will not be going to his office. I understand I should have called but it was in no way intentional, but this response was RIDICULOUS. I would give him a zero if I could.

I started having issues with my vision where everything just seemed blurry and a bit "off". My…read moreinitial doctor I saw at Blanco Kays was unable to find anything wrong and kept running the same vision tests on me and we even ordered new glasses that did nothing to solve the problem. He had me see the two other doctors in the office and they were unable to find any reason why my vision might be off and all three doctors suggested I just need to get adjusted to the new glasses. When that didn't help, they re-ran the same vision tests and thought I just needed to order glasses with a larger frame size. That still didn't help and they continued to insist I just need to wait at least 30 days to get adjusted to the glasses. This process went on for months with no improvement in my vision and the doctors and opticians didn't seem to care. I finally decided to see another eye doctor in town and immediately he was able to correctly diagnose me with strabismus (a very severe and obvious case, actually) and got me into prism lens which immediately solved all my vision troubles. Very disappointed that none of the doctors at Blanco Kays were able to diagnose me correctly with such an obvious case of strabismus and suggested that I was just exaggerating the issue and there was nothing wrong.

I'm on a tight budget, and it really broke the bank for me. They don't offer any help with those with no insurance, or discounts for paying out of pocket. I would recommend them for sure, just I personally can not afford them.

I made an appointment for my sister and I for our overdue eye exams. It was definitely much needed…read more My sister hadn't been there in 8 years so she had to fill out new forms. I was immediately taken back for the eye puff test and then got seated on the exam chair. My sister was quick with her forms so we ended up pretty much doing the appointment together at the same time. Good news is that my vision improved but the bad news is that my near-sighted vision is starting to go and she mentioned the bad "B" word - Bifocals *gasp*. I guess it all comes with age and there's not much we can do. I got fitted for glasses and contacts and they told me about the different rebates available for contacts. Dr. Wojcik was awesome as per usual and adds a feminine touch to the place compared to how I remember it from when I was a kid and saw her dad. I'm grateful that she's able to keep the family business going and she definitely has our loyalty! This is a great spot and we highly recommend this family business.

I wanted contacts for use with my virtual reality headset and hadn't used contacts for over 20 years. After a brief wait, I received an efficient expert-level exam and smart conversation with Dr. Brandys. Nice dealing with someone who has personality. The optician's were all great afterwards too. I have 3 sample packs of contacts to try so we get the best match for my VR unit. He gave me near, far and mono lenses and I didn't need to buy any until we figure out which are best. On top of that, everyone was operating with good cheer in what is clearly a healthy work environment. Great find!
