This is the best Greek restaurant in North or South Carolina. I come from the Chicago land area and have you eaten in Greektown, and this restaurant Rivals the restaurants there. Everything here seemed like it was made here. Very good gyro, was thicker sliced meat not the frozen thin symmetrical strips most places serve. Moussaka was awesome. This place is an hour away but will go again for the food. Well worth it best greek restaurant I've tried in Charlotte metro so far. read more

Lydia the cashier/host/server was really great very positive attitude. The food was pretty good i really enjoyed my Gyro sandwich. But this guy with a beard came in he was behind the counter standing over the drink station and sneezed without covering his mouth. I have had the Greek salad with grilled chicken and it has been unbelievable. Today I tried the spinach pie and it was fantastic. I can't stop going there. Next dish to try is the souvlaki. My guess is it will be terrific as well. Great food friendly staff. What more can you ask for. read more

Excellent excellent food. We went in with a group of 8 and every one of us received a fantastic meal. The lamb was succulent and delicious. The chicken was outstanding. Everything was fresh. One member of our party said this was the first restaurant he had visited where the food he received looked every bit as good as the picture on the menu. Fantastic friendly attentive service too! Our new favorite Greek restaurant. It is so good we drive a half hour from Mooresville just to have lunch. The food is fresh and portions are large. The gyros are the best I've had. Best greek food I have had other than from a Greek family in Georgia. This is my new favorite spot in Salisbury. Anything with chicken in it is wonderful. My sister and I ate here at lunch today and were NOT disappointed. Everything we had was absolutely amazing. We had the hummus as an appetizer and it was quite possibly the best I've ever had. It had just the right amount of kick to it and I'm very picky about hummus. We had the chicken Soulaki sandwich and the Greek salad with the Greek dressing instead of the fries. Absolutely amazing. We just had our first meal at this place and we will be back for more. It was lunchtime so we ordered and paid at the counter. The waitstaff is friendly and explained some dishes for us. The restaurant is very clean and nicely decorated, and with the Greek music playing we almost wanted to stand up and shout "Opa"! The food was beautifully plated and tasted just as beautiful. We are former Chicagoans. This is the original - it's difficult to find great Greek food outside of Chicago and New York. Mykonos is an offshoot of the very famous "Greek Islands" restaurants in Chicago's Greektown on Halsted Street & in the suburb of Lombard www.greekislands.net. We were just back home for a wedding and told the owners how much we miss GOOD Greek food in NC. They said they had several Gyros restaurants in NC. We cried with joy because even though we also miss the pizza, Portillo's beef and hotdogs, it is hard to find decent Greek food in the South. Also the standards are high in terms of food preparation, seasoning and store cleanliness - another thing sorely missing in many NC food service establishments. Treat yourself if you haven't gone already. BTW: the prices are extremely reasonable and you don't have to pay the Cook County (Chicago) taxes :-) Oopa!! read more

I would recommend the authentic chicken Slovakia. Very good especially over rice and double Greek salad. The food is enough to share between two people. I'm not to crazy about the French fries they were nothing special. But every thing else was delicious. I also love the pink salad dressing that comes with the Greek salad. read more

Wow. Just wow. I am not from this area, and grew up in a town that had several greek restaurants. This little grill put them all to shame. Fast, friendly service and phenomenal tasting food. I am a picky eater but allow me to say i would likely put anything that this place sat down in front of me. For my first trip, easy order to share with my family for lunch. We stopped here on a Friday night. At night you can seat yourself and they come to your table to take your order. We had the hummus appetizer which was flavorful. I had the Greek spaghetti which was delicious. I loved the addition of feta on top of my spaghetti. Another member of our party got Greek meatballs and they were tasty as well. Very yummy, authentic Greek food! The gyro, souvlaki, salads and Philly cheese steak on soft pita bread are really delicious. For $6 you get a huge gyro on pita with fresh veggies that is the best I've ever had. This place is spotless, and the food is always fresh.
