    CANNOLI

The absolute BEST CANNNOLI I have ever eaten‼ my husband, got the chocolate cake which melted in your mouth, absolutely top quality chocolate cake‼My husband & I made it by at closing time and was welcomed just like it was opening time‼The place smelled amazing and everyone in ambrosia was so helpful with our options. This is quality, desserts, unlike anywhere else in Boone‼ if you haven't tried it do yourself a favor and go by and meet some very nice people on top of awesome desserts‼ we will be back

I love Mediterranean food so this was a must stop. The portion sizes were huge, the service staff was super nice and the inside was super cool. Looked like they sold like mystery books/games in brown wrapped paper with a brief description. I don't know, cool and different! The only down side that was super irritating was that I'm currently traveling and I had ordered food to go. I was already on the road and I realized I had no utensils to eat my salad. May have just been a mistake but unfortunately it was a mistake that caused me to waste food since I had no means and I really wanted to try it. Also no napkins I'm the bag (I had a rental and dont have any extra stock). Therefore, only 4 stars given.

Falafel Gyro with side Greek salad

Well, I just got a chance to try Ambrosia, and it was good from the start. Inside dining and a few tables out front. Wonderfully decorated inside and full of life with family photos and many things Greek. Got there a little before noon and it was already very busy. The menu is brief and straightforward. Kind of refreshing to not have 9000 choices. I ordered the Falafel Gyro with side Greek salad to go. Staff was friendly and efficient in spite of their busy state of affairs. All of my meal was delicious! I'll be back to try a few of the other items sometime soon...

    Lamb Gyro

First time here... from Dallas, TX. The staff was extremely inviting for my dog and I. You got to check out the lamb Gyro... was super yummy! :) Will be back before I leave for back home. 12/10 would recommend

This is the gyro. On the left, we tried to "wash the meat" under water to make it palatable.

The gyros are delicious but their seasoned fries were so salty as to be inedible and I LIKE salt!

At the recommendation of one of the knowledgeable baristas, I ordered the maple cardamom latte, and it absolutely delivered. The maple brought a warm, natural sweetness, while the cardamom added a subtle aromatic spice that made the whole drink feel layered and intentional. It was comforting without being heavy. That paired perfectly with a cinnamon orange white chocolate scone -- bright citrus notes, gentle spice, and just enough sweetness from the white chocolate to tie it all together. The flavors played off the latte beautifully. I finished with an amaretto latte, which was strong on the nose with that classic almond aroma, yet surprisingly smooth and easy on the palate. Bold but balanced -- a great way to end the visit. Great coffee, thoughtful flavor combinations, and baristas who know their craft. Espresso News is absolutely worth a stop when you're in Boone.

Coffee Shop No. 492 Camp Coffee Roasters…read moreBlowing Rock NC April 9 2025 Camp Coffee Roasters is a little coffee shop in Blowing Rock, North Carolina, a charming little mountain village. The downtown area sits about a mile from the iconic Blue Ridge Parkway (connects the Great Smoky Mountains National Park in North Carolina to the Shenandoah National Park in Virginia). Camp Coffee Roasters has a cozy vibe and an obvious appreciation for the outdoors. It might have something to do with their neighbors; Footloggers, an outdoor store. Be sure to climb the stairs near the front door of the coffee shop. They lead to a loft, overlooking Footloggers, where you can relax in a wing back chair or get some work done at a table near a window. The barista was friendly and made a respectable cortado. Enjoying life one cortado at a time!

This time, however, my mom and I were extremely disappointed. We were served by a young man who seemed to be the owner's son, while the owner and another young man stood behind the counter. He forgot to ask what sizes we wanted, and when I got my Campfire Cold Brew, it came without cream. The menu clearly said: Cold brew, marshmallow, Hershey chocolate, and cream. I thought maybe it wasn't my drink, but the young man confirmed it was. When I asked if it was supposed to have cream, he said no, but that he could add some. I double-checked the menu: "It says it comes with cream." That's when an older woman suddenly appeared, glaring. "There's cream right there," she snapped. I'm guessing she was his mom, given her signature mama bear energy. Sorry, lady! I was just trying to make sure I got what I paid for, especially since two small coffees cost $16. Anyway, if you're looking for an adventure, head to Camp Coffee. You might not see a wild bear in the mountains, but you just might meet one behind the counter
