But what begs an update is the change in Uber pick-ups which makes literally no sense to anyone that lands here. Don't go outside of baggage like I did (this is where passenger pick-up is, so if your friend or family is picking you up, still go out here). This is of course the way it is in most civilized airports. No, it's on the UPPER level. Where arrivals are. By the time I figured this out, my uber driver was frantic because the airport traffic people were threatening all kinds of action on her. As we were messaging each other I was trying to get to the upper level but all the damn escalators were being fixed, so I had to wait for an elevator. All of this could have been avoided if there were clear signs indicating that ride share pick-ups are upstairs. Clearly this kind of mistake is common. Get it together CLT.

Great! Just returned from 3 weeks in Europe so have to schlep all my suitcases up two flights via an exterior stairway. Exterior door has no lock so anybody could enter the hallways. A lot of crap outside entrance way. Room basically OK but strong chemical Odor. A/c LOUD. my flight was too early to experience the breakfast. I will say the bathroom had nice toiletries. Crummy neighborhood but if you so stay here, eat at McCoy's BBQ nearby. Good stuff.

Never extend your stay after reserving with a 3rd Party I…read moregot a family emergency and had to sleep there for a couple days and seemed like the best option at the moment but the terrible service started since the beginning which I'll explain after the extended reservation rip off: I got a decent deal through Expedia and despite the very unpleasant clerks I decided to ask for one more night and she said it will be faster without the whole check in process if I do it directly and not using Expedia and guess what: - THEY TOOK A SECOND DEPOSIT FROM MY CARD (and still haven't been reimbursed the first) - CHARGED MY DOUBLE THE PRICE PER NIGHT WITHOUT WARNING ME OF THE PRICE INCREASE If you have terrible reservation policies at least you should have people who at least warn you about it. The two clerks are cold heartless unpleasant anthropids and If Best Weather people like money they should at least put this two people in a basic costumer service training. I advise to use the rip off money to pay extra to the cleaning personnel they sure do a good job. Btw: they put me in the top Floor while the elevator is OUT OF SERVICE.

The only thing that was a little set back was that it didn't offer a hot tub or pool. The lounge and bar -Sophia's was beautiful with unique decor also that all fit together perfectly with the hotel. The bed and room was very comfortable with plenty of room to rest and recuperate after our busy days in town. I would recommend this location to anyone staying in the area. So close to many restaurants and event areas or just to walk around town.

The only bummer upon check in was learning that the elevator was broken. My suitcase was a bit on the heavy side, as this was the front end of a week long North Carolina road trip. They delivered it, but it was still annoying. I loved the staff at Sophia's. They were so friendly. For sure stop in there for a cocktail. The room was comfortable. I love the funky side tables. We did complain about a certain smoky smell, the issue was addressed immediately. We were promised a credit that never materialized. When we checked out, we were offered bag service again (elevator still down), that also did not come to pass. We figured out that the same guy that was running the valet was also responsible for bag service. Impossible for one person to do both tasks efficiently and concurrently. This was a nice hotel, but definitely not Michelin Key level (we have stayed in many).

What a horrid experience this has been. We got stuck on a…read moreplane for over an hour because they couldn't connect the bridge to get us off the plane. No idea why it took an hour before they finally moved us to another gate so we could get off. I missed my connecting flight and had to book another one 2 1/2 hours later. I paid to board priority and with my new flight was stripped of priority boarding and my ticket showed boarding group 8!!! The other passenger that missed the connecting flight due to American airlines mechanical issues got priority, but not me for some reason. I was told to speak to the gate agent when boarding and told they could get me priority boarding. I waited in line for more than 15 minutes while the agent ignored me forcing me to engage her because she wasn't going to help otherwise. I told her about American Airlines mechanical issues leading to my missing the connecting flight and how I had priority and was told to speak to the gate agent to get it for the new flight. The agent asked my seat number after I explained that (Seat 11A), then she rudely told me she didn't k ow why they told me to speak to an agent and there was nothing she could do for me. I decided to post the picture of her with this review because how miserable are you to ignore someone and then have an attitude when they kindly explain the issue your company caused. If I can avoid traveling with AA I will, this has been an awful experienced made more horrible by the poor customer service.

It's been a while since I reviewed Great Wolf Lodge and I wanted to update because some things are…read moreslightly different. First, this is still a great place for the kids, especially the younger ones up to about middle school age. There is a lot to do and plenty of fun to be had. I also think it's a decent bargain compared to something like a beach trip which is it's biggest competition in NC at least. The fact that it's easier and simpler for the parents to just do everything under one roof is another bonus compared to another type of trip. There are some negatives: the price for everything goes up and it's harder to find bargain deals but they do still exist if you're flexible on dates especially. The place is also showing it's age ever so slightly and could use with some touch ups or even new features in a few places. They have updated some areas: the laser tag and 3d/vr adventure are both refreshed and both are nice - bring tennis shoes by the way, or you won't be able to participate in these. Things like the $20 parking are a bit annoying given it's just an open parking lot like any hotel and literally every guest is parking because it's a destination hotel.

Spent a night here after my daughter asked for us to spend a night here…read more This location is located near a mall and has plenty of parking but a lot of the parking is not near the rooms so you may end up hoofing jt across the parking lot to a door so you can get it to your room. Also, there are elevators at the center and wings of the resort, so if you room is not near one of these area, you are hoofing it with your luggage. One of the biggest perks is you can come before check in time and take your family directly to the water park while you wait for your room to be ready. They provide a changing room and lockers in case you need them. However, if you use Apple Pay the self check in kiosk will not recognize your credit card you use so you have to go to the front desk. The water park has several rides, a wave pool, and indoor pool with water games and an outdoor pool. There is ample seating but it is very humid in the water park bc of all the water circulating. You cannot consume outside food in the water park but you can in your room. So we spent all afternoon at the water park until it closed and then I ran out and picked up some food. Our room (kid cabin suite) was well apportioned and the lodge understands how to help families with water sports. They provide shampoo, soap, lotion and a clothes line. Also, a lot of stuff they advertise costs extra (mini golf, adventure quest, etc) but if you have little kids paying for a late check out may be helpful bc you can go to the water park starting at 0900. Fun family trip but be ready to spend some money.

Let me begin with the check in and check out, I had the pleasure of Phil taken care of us, and he is just a ray of sunlight! He was so friendly, very helpful and just left a great impression on us! Also, have to shout out the serving staff during our lunches, cocktail parties and dinners! Again, so pleasant and friendly! The hotel is nice. Clean and secure. You must use your key card on the elevator to get to your floor. There was a great bar in the main lobby, where again, service was spot on I normally stay at Hilton hotels, but if I had travel back to the area I'd definitely stay here again. Loved the location! The room was on the small side, but the city view was nice. Room did have a refrigerator and safe in it. Room was clean. Shower pressure was nice! For hotel, wedding style buffet food, I'd have say the food was good! It stayed hot, they kept everything full. Ordered room service as well and the food was just as enjoyable!
