Ok so I had a tooth issue and my dentist said it would be a good idea to have the tooth removed. Was nervous about getting it removed, but the WHOLE staff at DR Strasser's office was very friendly, helpful and put me totally at ease. I wasn't looking forward to getting the 'needle' but once it was over and numb, it was less than 5 minutes and the tooth was removed. My husband had called to make an appointment for our son. He stated that we have a referral for his tooth to be surgically removed, and that our son needed to be put under anesthesia. My son's grandmother takes him, however I need to be present( which we were not notified or I would have taken the appropriate time off). I was annoyed, but fine. I go there and sign the papers and ask if I can leave now and allow grandma to stay, but no. Okay fine, still irritated about it but rules are rules. However, we get back into the consultation room and the DR does not explain anything. I have to ask what the process is, once he explains and we decide to put him under.... They tell me they can't, because he's not 13.... Like yall couldn't have told me that before wasting my time? Whoever is taking the appointments needs to learn how to communicate better. By far the worst experience I could imagine. Granted, the staff were friendly and helpful. Strasser himself was unprofessional. Wanted his professional opinion about the steps I should take, but instead he consistently kept pushing for the procedure that would bring him more money even after I expressed my financial concerns. While still talking to him, I was unsure what decisions I wanted to make and still asking him questions, he gets up and leaves the room and moves on to the next patient leaving me in the room for his staff to deal with. Left me feeling as if I wasn't important enough and my business didn't matter to him. Reluctantly, I chose to proceed with having my wisdom teeth extracted through this business and now have immediately regretted that decision. The procedure was more or less flawless, and Strasser made it easier than I had anticipated. I got home and rested all day following post-op procedures and rules, but my bleeding never slowed down. I reached out and called the office as instructed if problems occurred. Once I got ahold of Strasser himself and expressed my concern about excessive bleeding, he proceeded to just read me the same paper I was given. I informed him that it wasn't normal, and he offered to let me come in for an inspection after hours and immediately followed that statement up with "I'm going to have to charge you." This man and this business doesn't have your best interests at heart and are truly only looking out for their own pocket book's. read more

I am approaching five weeks post-op. Dr. Strasser was amazing! I had four non-impacted wisdom teeth removed. During my consultation, Dr. Strasser was honest about my treatment and that I didn't need all four out and asked what I wanted (I had a previous consultation with a different doctor, was NOT honest at all imo). Front desk and Paula were super helpful with insurance especially since mine switched in the middle of preauthorization; got it taken care of quickly and scheduled within a week of all paperwork coming in clear! Was able to get my prescriptions before my appointment so I would have them ready for when I got home, which was super convenient for my family. I opted for being put to sleep, which I've never done before. I'm afraid of needles but the assistants and doctor made it super comfortable and my anxiety was low for what was going on. Woke up easily and was ready to go home! Follow up appointment a week later and no complications. Pain subsided in a few days and was back to eating normally around 2 weeks. So happy I went to this oral surgeon over others, as I had a great experience compared to other people I know. read more

Dr. Strasser was recommended to me by my dentist to get my wisdom teeth removed and I couldn't be any more pleased. I had such a wonderful experience! The entire staff is incredibly friendly, patient and polite. Paula at the front desk is hilarious but still professional and very informative. She didn't mind answering any of my questions and was very patient. The assistants are very up beat and welcoming and Dr. Strasser is equally as pleasant. They are all so goofy and made me feel very comfortable. I suffer from severe anxiety so that is not easy to do! You can tell they all really enjoy their jobs. As for the procedure it went very smoothly. They even have numbing spray for your arm before they poke you with the iv which I thought was cool. I felt no pain or discomfort before, during or even really after the surgery. One of the assistants sat in the room with me and chatted about girl stuff until my mother was able to pick me up. Ok so being the mother of a boy who just barely turned 14, I find out from his orthodontist that he needs all 4 wisdom teeth out asap. When I took him to Dr Strasser I was very pleased how comfortable they kept my son during surgery. They allowed me as a nervous mother to go back for his IV start so he wasn't as scared. Then they permitted me and my 11 year old son to be the first ones he saw as they brought him out of anesthsia! This was a great comfort to him. Dr. Myron Strasser is amazing! I was referred to him through my dentist to get my three wisdom teeth taken out, I have heard horror stories of bad experiences and horrible recoveries. When I went in for a consultation he explain to me about how he was the most concerned about only one of the three due to a cyst and that if taking all three out would be too much money I could do one then do the rest another time, instead I booked an appointment ASAP. As I was getting ready to be put to sleep he explained everything he was injecting in my arm to knock me out. Now my recovery was awesome, I had barley any bleeding and I didn't even need to take pain medication. Why? Because I wasn't in any pain. I was very swollen but that's normal. I kind of looked like quagmire for a few days lol. I would definitely recommended him to anyone. He's doesn't rush you with your questions, he explains in detail and a little tip go early he likes to start right on time with every appointment. read more

Dr. Strasser is overbearing and rude. His office staff is incompetent and doesn't follow through with billing or insurance until months have gone by. We had a consultation with him, and instead of letting us know in a timely manner that they hadn't been paid yet, they waited until three months after the appt to send me a bill. As soon as I found out the payment hadn't been made I called the insurance company and the payment was approved and sent for processing. Dr. Strasser waited until the afternoon before the scheduled oral surgery appt to say, repeatedly, that he didn't care pay up or no surgery; he refused to listen, constantly steam-rolling over the conversation any time I tried to talk. Needless to say I wouldn't take one of my dogs to him, let alone my child! read more

I had all four of my impacted completely bony wisdom teeth removed today. I've been so nervous for weeks about the whole thing. I was in tears all morning because of my anxiety. I was crying as I was signing papers. The staff made me feel very comfortable. They really did a great job at making me feel better. I was offered a blanket in case I was cold. They used a cold numbing thing on my arm before they put the IV in. They kept asking if I had any questions. He told me what each drug was as he put it in the IV. They let my boyfriend come back while I was put under and he came back and was already there when I woke up. I remember talking to Dr. Strasser one second and then waking up another. My boyfriend said I was confused and thought they were trying to trick me and hadn't really taken them out yet. It was all so painless and easy. They called me the day before my appointment to confirm and the lovely woman in the office told me that my pharmacy doesn't open until 10 (my surgery was at 8) and that I should get my prescription that day. So I was all ready to go with my pain medication/antibiotics as soon as the surgery was over. It really doesn't get any better than this. I recommend Dr. Strasser to everyone. read more

Dr. Strasser is great!! His staff is wonderful!! The building is a bit dated but his office isn't. Dr. Strasser has a great personality and explains everything thoroughly. The staff is super organized and friendly. You know exactly what everything will cost so you don't have any surprises. My son had his wisdom teeth removed and before we left our consultation we had a breakdown of all charges, a surgery date and post-op date. They also have you pick up prescription medications before the procedure so you're prepared. After surgery Dr. Strasser goes over aftercare and his nurse does too just in case. Dr. Strasser is a very gentle and due to a condition that I have, he was able to extract me teeth while I was awake. I was able to listen to music and was very comfortable during the extractions.
