Better late than never. This review is really overdue from a month ago. I know I know …read more.... We were looking for a specific item but it wasn't here . I really enjoyed browsing the different rooms . They all were arranged nicely ... some nicer than others. Overall, the prices were reasonable. The staff was warm and welcoming. Even though I didn't buy anything on my very first visit here , I plan to come back soon to browse some more.

The assistant manager immediately warmly greeted us and gave us some direction in regards to the different sections of the store. She also gave us a card that is stamped each time you make a purchase. After ten stamps, you get $50 off your purchase. As we walked through the store, we saw many interesting items, from furniture to jewelry to real fur coats. There was an African section and we knew right away that we'd be purchasing something from this section. We decided on an African djembe that was the painted with bright colors. It's going to look great in our living room. At check out, they request to see your driver's license if you're paying with a card, which is something I like. I definitely see myself coming back to this store. You should check it out!

There were also refreshments, and they had a drawing for a gift card. If you're looking to do your own "picking," this isn't it, but there are some nice items. Booths are curated collections of items both new and old, and while I didn't find anything I just had to have, and partly because I was just looking around, I didn't end up taking anything home that day. However, if I were looking for a period piece, or something to redo a room or space, I would consider looking here for something that isn't a big box, mass produced piece.

There was no pressure or hovering over and around me, which I for one like a lot. The interiors selection was just right for me - very cozy. I only noticed maybe one unoccupied booth and that's always a good sign to me. I made four purchases and at checkout I was surprised to find out that there was a 20% discount value for each item. How nice. It seems to me that the Owners still value the customer. For example, instead of tossing my purchases in a chintzy plastic bag, my purchases were placed in paper shopping bag with carrying handles. Call me silly, but it's those kinds of added touches that make me want to buy from shops/stores that make me feel appreciated. I hope you will treat yourself to a shopping trip at Vintage Interiors in Pelham in the very near future.

I'm sure there are people who find gems here, but I haven't had the greatest luck. Granted, I…read moredon't go first thing in the morning or spend hours sorting through racks. Over the years, I've usually ended up going in if I'm looking for something specific for a school project, costume, or odd household item. I hadn't been in a while, and I was taken aback by just how bad it smells. I know thrift clothes and used household items never smell fantastic, but I honestly think it smells worse than it used to smell. I was also disappointed in the amount of furniture they had. There wasn't a lot, and what they did have was not really even in fair shape. Lots of broken pieces. There is also a lot of new merchandise. Most of the Halloween items are new. There are endcaps of new merchandise at the registers. The mattresses are new, which is great, but there are no used bed frames (metal), just the brand new ones they have being sold at retail prices. I also miss the 'collectible' cases where better/more expensive items were kept. If it's still in the store somewhere, I haven't seen it, so I don't know what they're doing with nicer items that are donated.

Good thrift store! You will be sure to find something cool/useful here every trip!…read more However, they are not exempt from the "thrift-flation" that seems to be overtaking this country. With a rise in vintage style, these once reasonable thrift stores will list trendy and name brands at high prices. Now i don't mean 50+$ but items you could get at a salvation army for $3-5 would cost ~$10-15 or even $20 (for jackets typically) here. Also due to resellers and vintage shops, many good items are quickly found by said sellers to sell purely for personal gain and not really available to normal people who are just looking to find clothes to wear out and about without concern for fashion. Beware people in carhartt who look like they've never done any job that warrants workwear! Still a great place to find clothes for a fraction of the price of newly bought items!
