Came in on my first morning in town. Ordered a Carmel macciatto and garbage potatoes. Man these are tasty! Came with bacon sausage cheese ham eggs onion (I opted out from peppers) and a side of gravy. Definitely not healthy but tasty! Potatoes were crispy on the outside and soft on the inside. Great little place. We had the Greek hummus platter with pita, Greek olives, sundried tomatoes and feta cheese, very good. Black & Bleu burger was one of the best ones I have ever had, and the lamb burger was impressive. We went back in the morning for chai latte, latte and caramel machiatto....made to perfection. Second time to visit. Great atmosphere and excellent coffee. My first experience with breakfast here was less than satisfactory but I decided to give them another chance. Ordered the farmers breakfast - eggs, potatoes and sausage. Last time the eggs were underdone with the egg white still running clear in a over medium egg. Hoped for a change but this time was the same. My eggs were over easy, not over medium,with lots of egg white running around on my plate uncooked. The sausage patty was tough and inedible. Had the texture of a microwaved, rewarmed meat patty of unknown origin. The deli case is filled with salads that look amazing but I'm not sure I want to venture in for lunch if they can't fix a simple egg breakfast right. The coffee is awesome though. The house blend is great for a cup of joe. And I will even order a triple short shot for the road. I'm just disappointed that the breakfast doesn't match the quality of the coffee and ambience. read more

I always look forward to stopping in here when I'm in Lewiston for business. The coffee and espresso drinks are always great and the breakfast and lunch dishes I've had in the past were delicious. This time I had an Americano with the breakfast bowl. The Americano was hot and dark and tasty. the breakfast bowl had a combination of potato, squash, pico, and cheese topped with an egg that is all really flavorful! We came in late on a Sunday. We were bummed we missed the breakfast menu (closes at 1 pm) but the lunch menu was very enticing! Had the wicked grilled cheese and it was fantastic! I usually don't eat too many fries but these were the best shoestring fries I've ever had, they use fried sage leaves in the seasoning and the flavor is out of this world! The ambiance and service are next level, although the amount of taxidermy inside is a little unnerving. But the rest of the atmosphere is very warm with lots of wood and vintage looking decor. We ordered lunch online again yesterday with curbside pickup and it was super simple and efficient. It is now our go to place for takeout. This place has a great menu and several choices for vegans (better than any other place in town). Our order arrived in good time and was so delicious. They use earth friendly to-go boxes which is a plus in my book. Their Buddha bowl is the best vegan meal available and I highly recommend it. I stopped in at the Mystic this afternoon and was pleased to find an inviting cafe with a considerable lunch offering. The staff was quite friendly and accommodating, despite the bustling atmosphere and the fact that I ignorantly ordered lunch from the drink counter. I had the delicious Halibut street tacos, portion size was generous and price reasonable ($10.95). The dinner options sounded attractive as well. I plan to be back. read more

Went on a Sunday and experienced a 3+ hour wait for food.... staff was as nice as they could be about the wait and I felt bad for the waiter it was obviously not his fault. Restaurant side is amazing. Cafe side is not so much. We love the food and coffee but the service on this side is frustrating at best. The baristas struggle to serve the people approaching the counter (from observation it looks like they are too busy). In particular, we've had bad experiences with Austin who either failed to acknowledge our presence or told us he was too busy to serve us. We try to go to the cafe weekly, but we always seem to question that decision between ordering and getting our food. If they could figure out the customer service side of this building they'd be perfect. read more

This place is a piece of art in the Downtown area. The new expansion allows for much more seating and a new stage also brings local talent for open mics, jazz nights, and live music on weekends for breakfast and lunch. My favorite is the homemade dad's macaroni! read more

Restaurant is beautiful. But the food is just mediocre. Small portions. And the service isn't that great. Took a good 20 minutes before somebody came by to fill my coffee cup. You would think about every 5-6 minutes someone would walk through the dinning room with a coffee pot. Right? Had to ask 2 different people to get sugar for my coffee. Nothing special. read more

Very sorry to say, big disappointment: eggs benedict are a classic and show both the quality of ingredients and professionalism of cooking, but in this case, showed the failure of both. Hollandaise sauce was artificial in color and taste, the poached eggs were mucous-y, the English muffin was soggy, the mushrooms and spinach were way too little, and the fried potatoes were not really fried. This place has it all: problems with the seasoning, check, prices that make you want to make sure you aren't waiting on more food to come out, check, soggy previously frozen strawberries on the waffle, check, breakfast quesadilla with soggy spinach and depressing salsa, check. We had a quesadilla, 2 waffles, and a hash brown, egg, and sausage plate and it was 38$. Will never come here again. 2 stars because the service was good and the food came out in a decent time. I have had two experiences at the Mystic. One was for breakfast which was fine. BUT..my husband and I were taking our granddaughters to the RaeLynn concert and wanted them to feel special and have a nice dinner out beforehand. Well it was the WORST $100 we ever spent on a meal. The service and wait times were terrible. The waitresses kept saying (3 times) they would bring us some water refills but didn't until the food arrived (and it took a long time for it to arrive!!). The bread was not served with the girls meals and for the cost of the meal there sure isn't much food! Although my salad was good!! we won't be back read more
