We've dined here several times, very good food. Last night we were in for the Valentines special, literally 5 others tables, were occupied, looked to be a full staff. It took an hour and a half to get our food. We waited and waited, not being drinkers, we ran out of water and coffee. So disappointed! We had arrived at 5:00, no crowds, just unacceptable! $90 for two isn't horrible, however, when the service is bad, I get a little upset. read more

It is set up nice and service was good. The problem for me was I got the "Farmers breakfast" which I thought would be a good size meal. It arrived on a large saucer not a plate and the amount of potatoes that came with the meal was so small I was embarrassed for the owners. Mystic is local for us yet we always seem to forget about it for some strange reason. It really shouldn't be forgotten. Their food is very tasty and the atmosphere is extremely soothing. If you visit this eclectic little restaurant, make sure to have a cup of coffee as they are probably the best in town. We have only had dinner here once, but we have yet to be disappointed other than some dishes are unavailable if you arrive past peak meal times. This means you are eating fresh!! read more

Not only do they have a separate menu for in between meal times but the list had absolute minimal options and no variety. I spent $10 on 3 meatballs and $13 on a BLT that had no advocado like it said and there was 1 piece of bacon on my sandwich. It's a BLT. this was just sad. I most definitely will not be back or recommend this location to anyone. Spent $25 there and now going somewhere else to get more food. read more

What an amazing dining experience! The atmosphere is totally cool, and the food is incredible. What a great combination of textures and flavors in every dish - nothing overpowering. The scallops were done just right, the parmesan risotto was creamy and delicious. The gnocchi sauteed in burnt butter was amazing, and the .mustard rotini had a nice mustard flavor without overwhelming. And the best caesar salad ever! My wife and I stopped for lunch on way to Sandpoint. Ordered halibut fish tacos and halibut fish and chips with kale salad. We both received the fish tacos, the staff person offered to switch but we didn't want to wait. The kale salad was wonderful and the tacos were good but not over the top. Ordered a pecan roll for dears and it was heated in microwave and topped with glaze and pecans, ok but nothing special. read more

Very good food. Fun and funky decor. Had one of the day's specials, a salad of spring greens, watermelon, feta and grilled chicken with a honey balsamic dressing. Delicious! Husband had the homemade soup of the day, a sausage-potato-cabbage mix in a light broth, and the ham sandwich. He thoroughly enjoyed them both, but he especially raved about the soup. Loved this eclectic little place. Would love to hear music in this sweet venue. Loved the local art on the walls and all of the fab bird prints and of course, the Beltie beef ( locally grown, grass fed and with no hormones). We both had 1/3 lb cheeseburgers -his with cheddar & mine with blue cheese and grilled onions. Both were delicious. Mine was so big that I could only eat 1/2 of it. You know how it smells when you drive into Lewiston? This place is exactly that, it stinks! It was my first time here and it has average food, overpriced, terrible service, and the place looks weird. Our waiter took didn't ask for more beverages, dessert and tried to get us out of there before we even finished half of our food and drinks. OMG! The food here is so good and fresh. We had the prosciutto & brie sandwich and the meditaranian wrap with tomato basil soup. So, so good. Nice selection of beers and wines and the desserts were amazing. Wish we were going to be in town longer, I'd be there everyday. We found this place while traveling to Lewiston for work. We were trying to find a place for dinner and realized that most places around closed at 9pm. It was getting close to closing time so we picked Mystic Cafe on a whim and hoped that the staff wouldn't hate us. On the contrary! Our server, Cami, was warm and friendly. We quickly ordered the Poutine, jumbo shrimp and salmon special (obviously with a side of wine). The food came out quickly, but did not seem like the preparation was rushed. The poutine was incredible and there was even the added bonus of bacon on top! Both of our meals were delicious. We obviously saved room for dessert, so we shared the huckleberry gelato and apple crisp. Neither dessert disappointed. The prices were also super reasonable. Had a pretty good breakfast. The staff was great. I had eggs benedict florentine, mom had the farmers breakfast w/ soft poached eggs, our daughter had chicken, biscuits & gravy. I suggest being specific in explaining how you want your eggs. Mom's eggs had medium--ish yolks instead of runny, the eggs benedict came the same way. Also, there were no peppers and one mushroom (I missed the peppers but mushrooms weren't missed too much). I've never had anyone do eggs benedict with hard yolks so I'll be specific next time and say firm whites & runny yolks. Our daughter's meal description said one biscuit & two came--way too much so she has left overs! I didn't care for the Rosemary potatoes and will see if they can do them plain or give a substitute next time. read more

Brought my sister in who was visiting from Hawaii for a later lunch. After ordering we sat down to wait for our food, as soon as we got it our waitress rudely told us that they close in 30 minutes and that they planned on closing on time. They kept insisting that we needed to hurry and get out. We observed 6+ customers get turned away or told they couldn't order before closing time. She even recommended another restaurant. Pretty excited about the menu but it just didn't deliver. Brie and prosciutto sandwich with arugula? Yum! Came dry and almost no cheese on one side. No prosciutto either. Pretty much an arugula sandwich. And not much of that either. Beet salad was plain Jane. Tacos were tasty as was the barley soup. Kids meals were nicer than some. Sliders especially.
