We had dinner here and it was so good that we came back for breakfast. The lobster benedict is amazing and the dinner special last night was good too. Very tasty unpretentious food at this quirkily decorated restaurant. We enjoyed our dinner.

Bruce Finch is considered the "premier" restaurateur in the Lewiston-Clarkston valley because he owns several in our community. His "fine dining" restaurant is Mystic Cafe and we had one of the worst breakfasts here this morning. My husband ordered biscuits and gravy with two eggs, over easy. When breakfast arrived, he had one egg. The food delivery person said she would check on the second egg. We never saw her again, but we did see the second egg...hidden underneath the biscuits and gravy because they had broken the yolk. My breakfast was the eggs Benedict. One egg was laying beside the English muffin and ham. The other egg was poached so hard it was like eating a hard boiled egg. The hashbrowns weren't even warm. Bruce walked out of the office as I was pointing out to my husband the over cooked egg. He stopped, asked what the problem was, said he saw the issue and knew who to talk to. Did he comp any of the breakfast? Did he apologize for the bad food? Of course he didn't. He just took our money and moved on. When we pointed the over cooked egg to our server, her response was, "I just work here." Yeah. You do. So you have the power to make it right. Needless to say, we will NOT be eating at Mystic again. We paid $40 for broken yolks, cold hashbrowns, overcooked eggs, one mimosa and a 4 oz glass of tomato juice. There are way better places to have breakfast. Go to a restaurant that appreciates your patronage and cooks the food properly. I recommend Waffles N More, Hazels, Birchers, Bait Shop, or Matt's in Asotin. read more

Get the cinnamon roll! It was wonderful with a soy cappuccino. My husband has the Farmers Breakfast and it was ok nothing special. I had the morning bowl and it was not good. It was like warm and had about a cup of grated cheese on it. Just weird. Have the cinnamon roll and call it a day. Big place so good for groups. read more

We will definitely be repeat customers. The place is decorated in a very unique and eclectic way. It's fun yet cozy & relaxing. Music was great, too. Our server, Hope, was absolutely wonderful... great personality and a hard worker ! Hubby ALWAYS orders the BLT when we try new places... and he loved it. The shoestring-style fries with a rosemary herb touch were AMAZING ! Imagine your standard "garlic fries", but make them shoestring with a rosemary infusion instead! Oh my goodness !!!! The fry sauce was great too. Dip everything in that ! I had the turkey melt with their sausage, kale, potato soup. The flavor was great. The sandwich had jalapeños so it was a smidge spicy, but the bacon jam and two cheeses helped that part. Overall really enjoyed this visit, and will be back soon... and regularity! read more

Decided that this morning we were gonna hit up Waffles N More for Breakfast. Their parking lot steered us right down the road to Mystic Cafe. Glad it did. First impression of this place was very positive. A quick look around to take in the sites and sounds set our expectations high. Prompt attention to the table with coffee all around not far behind. We decided on a few Chicken Fried Steaks, Eggs, Mystic Potatoes and a Denver Omelet with Mystic Potatoes, all with sourdough. Coffee was better than most, food was great, service was friendly, and we left the place satisfied and stuffed. What else could you ask for? read more

Pork Chop was absolutely amazing. The service here is wonderful. Don't pass up a chance to get coffee, it is so good that you will want one even with dinner. First off, the atmosphere of this place is darling! Very eclectic and fun- and I haven't witnessed their live music nights..yet! What stood out to me most was not only the food but my server, Ric. He is so welcoming and upbeat you just want to hug him I had the brown sugar cinnamon cappuccino and oh it was to die for! For breakfast I had the Garbage potatoes with over medium eggs and a side of gravy topped with Vandal's DELICIOUS pepper sauce! Our waitress was amazing but what a disappointment the burgers were. I sent mine back while the other two at my table just put up with the dry overcooked patties. The burger I got back the second time around wasn't any better. Thin on one end and thick on the other but gray and dry all the way thru the middle. Mystic Cafe is such an awesome experience every time I go. The food is never a disappointment, they have one of my favorite menus because they have such a wide variety of food. I love the wicked grilled cheese, and they have some of the best Alaskan street taco's . It's such a cool restaurant the whole atmosphere really makes for a great night. They also have an amazing coffee shop, try a lotus energy drink next time you need that extra boost, they have so many delicious flavors. This was our first meal on our college visit weekend with our two 18 year olds & we all loved our meals! I ordered the spicy California burger with a pear bleu cheese salad & they were delicious! Our boys ordered the black & bleu burger & the deluxe burger, both with rosemary fries and they loved them! Our server, Cassie (sp?) was so great! I have k my been here once before, and that was about 7 years ago before they remodeled. I absolutely love how they have expanded building and still keep with the original funky rustic artistic theme. I was with a party of six and there was not one complaint about the food. Between the six of us we had ordered the Cuban sandwich, the lamb burger, halibut street tacos and the prosciutto and Brie sandwich with the rosemary fries. I had the lamb burger with a beet salad. Probably the best lamb burger I have ever had. The mint goat cheese really set it off! The beet salad was not the best and I probably should have had the rosemary fries instead. Other then the outstanding food, I would be remiss if I didn't give kudos to the best service I have had in a long time from our server Ricard! He was knowledgeable and friendly, had great recommendations, and kept our drinks filled without interrupting our table conversations. Wowzer!!! This gem of a place is spectacular. The vibe is chill and the decor is a mix of rustic yet modern. Our server Lane was excellent. Very friendly, attentive and when I could not decide on an entree he offered a great suggestion that I ended up ordering, and it was an amazing choice. We started with polenta fries. They were baked in olive oil a nf served with fresh minced garlic and served with a sriracha aioli. I will forever try to perfect this appetizer for home. Seriously delicious!!! I chose the gnocchi with chicken. They breaded the chicken and cooked it to a crispy outer crust and moist inside. They cut it up and put it in my gnocchi with mushrooms and sundried tomatoes. Oozed with a perfect blend of flavors. I can not express enough the pride and talent these chefs put into the Mystic Cafe's menu and it shows in the taste and exquisite flavors of their food. My son and the Greek veggie burger, he is picky about his food and he loved his burger!! I chose the roasted coconut curry soup with my entree....enough said! We went here after family recommended it. Very pleasant atmosphere and friendly staff. Wife had the Buddha Bowl which she enjoyed. I had the ham and Havarti grilled sandwich with macaroni salad. It was one of the better sandwiches I've had. We'll be coming back for sure. read more

Been here for lunch and for breakfast. The menu offerings look delicious. The staff has generally been attentive. Perhaps a bit overworked, though. The food itself is mediocre at best. Pretty much everything that came out could have been made at home for a lot cheaper and some of it definitely better quality. If the food quality could match what's on paper it'd be worth going out to eat at Mystic. Won't be going back for anything other than a coffee at the cafe, unfortunately. It's a cute place and worth going to if you have no expectations for food and drink. read more

We stopped here for lunch today on our road trip to Spokane. The interior is quite large and it has nice hardwood throughout the restaurant. We order the tuna baguettes with the kale salad.
