I had a GREAT experience today. Staff asked if they could help, and they located a pair of earrings I was looking for that I didn't see displayed. I told them they were for an upcoming photo shoot and, when I accidentally left them on the store counter, one of the staff jumped in her car to find me. She didn't, but she did offer to meet me half way so I didn't have to drive an hour to get them! Or she offered to mail them to me at their expense. Who does that anymore?! They have beautiful things that are reasonably priced. I always make a point to stop by when I'm in the area!

This store is in the center of the of the cutest town in Connecticut, Mystic. I didn't even know where to look when I walked inside, there were so many beautiful, unique peices. The cutting boards, and other kitchen tools are so tastefully made that I would keep them as decor. They have beautiful sterling silver jewelry, from earrings to bangles. There's some stunning pottery, as well as hand blown glassware. As expected most of the items are a bit pricey, but not outrageous. Their packaging is gift ready! You're sure to impress who ever is lucky enough to receive a gift from such a charming little store.

They asked if we were from the area and my husband stated that he was and I stated that I was not. We were quiet, respectful and did not improperly handle any items. We were looking at items in the store when the woman sternly stated "this is the end of the aisle for our store!" I looked at my husband to see if he drifted somewhere outside of the typical store but he was beside me. We both looked at each other very confused and started walking toward the door. She then stopped us and said "we have been in business for 40 years and do not let TOURISTS go to the part of the store with bed linens. This part is really just by appointment only." There was no signage stating this and the store is simply a rectangular shape with displayed product from front to back of the store. This was the first stop in Mystic for this TOURIST--and left a very bad first impression. Funny enough I was considering buying an item before this interaction--no thank you!
