Nooooooooo. :( I angsted a long time about writing a one star review, but months later, just remembering my experience here makes me upset, so I have to say something. I really wanted to like this place. It's a convenient location for me. My friend brings her daughter here for mother/daughter pedicures, and she recommended it to me. I loved the ambiance--I loved the relaxing dim lights and the abundance of interesting decorations to look at. There was a very nice gentleman who asked how I was doing, and gave me a really heavenly hand massage. Sadly, the mani/pedi experience here did not meet my expectations. I didn't see anything come out of a sterile package. The polish on my manicure was very bubbled. My french mani chipped within a few days, and the pedicure chipped shortly thereafter. Normally I'm sick of a toe polish color for weeks before it ever budges, so it was really surprising how poorly this polish stuck. The worst part of my experience, and the reason why I won't give this place a second chance when I might otherwise do so, is because the tech made my cuticles bleed. I noticed this after my hands came out of the parrafin dip and she removed the wax--there was blood on three of my cuticles. (That means I had open wounds in the parrafin bath--YIKES!!!) The tech's response to my concern was that she shrugged it off, grabbed a hand towel from the side of the workstation, and patted it on the blood. Who knows where that towel had been, or where it went after that! I wish I'd said something at the time, but I was so taken aback I didn't know how to react. read more

Found this place though a friend's FB check-in. Second time here. Service is ok. The shop has two nail techs. Both times I had Ms. Trieu doing my nails. The first time I had my pedicures done and it turned out good. The color lasted over a month. They were nice to allow for me to paint my toddler's nails since they didn't have time to give her a manicure. Came in tonight for a pedicure and manicure. The pedicure was ok since she cut too far on my cuticle and it bleed bled. Got french gel manicure and they were in a hurry to close so she didn't finish cleaning up my gel and make it shiny. The place is clean and organized. They do large groups and is friendly. Better to call ahead than to walk in because they are not sufficiently staff to provide walk in service. I found out about this place on the Nextdoor app. I was perusing the app to see what was going on in my neighborhood and saw that someone had asked for nail salon recommendations. Nails Only came up over and over so I decided to give them a try. I went in on a Weds. I have come here a hand full of times and the service seems so up and down. Most of the time my polish is applied sloppily and there is paint on my cuticles. Not a good look. There was only one time they were painted great and I am sad I don't remember the name of the girl who did them, I would only ask for her. It is also frustrating when I have an appointment and they over book. Five people getting manicures at the same time with only three people doing them, hopping from station to station is not ideal. Spacious interior with friendly staff. I have never booked ahead of time but have never had to wait over 10 minutes. What I like is that they don't rush as if they are trying to get to the next client It's a clean place and the staff is professional. An added attraction is the reflexology massage from a Thai gentleman. I have tried this several times including one with hot rocks for my back for 30 minutes and I was impressed. Even if you get a 15 minute foot reflexology session you will sleep better that night. Don't expect the complete privacy and setting that comes with massage only places but again, it is clean and there is adequate privacy. read more

Just another nail salon, nothing special. I had a mani and pedi. My toes turned out well and the pedi was nice, but my hands look way better when I do them myself at home. Seems like nail techs have forgotten how to just paint nails anymore. Im sure the gel would have turned out better bc that's what most people want now.They do offer hot wax with the mani, so that was a plus. read more

Nails Only was above what I expected. I am very pregnant and can't reach my feet so I was in search of a well ventilated salon that did not charge over $50 for a pedicure. The staff was very nice, although their limited understanding of English made communication minimal. I got an ok pedicure and my feet look much better for $28. I had to request that the dead skin be removed from my heels and it still wasn't however.. i think that is included in the "deluxe" pedi which I opted out of. The salon was nicely decorated and fans kept the air moving. The pedi bath next to me was quickly scrubbed with a brush and rinsed in between clients.. I didn't see any disinfecting going on. I'd go again to Nails only, but would always be open to another suggestion. read more

Employee brazenly stealing from owner Went here since my regular place was closed and I needed a fill. The service was fine which is the only reason it gets 2 stars. She told me fill was $40 and brow wax $11. I saw a notice on her table that said if I wanted to add a tip to the cc bill, to let them know ahead of time. Walking to the front, I told her to add $9 to the bill for a tip. She asked if I had cash which is fine, I get it, I waited tables and it was always better to get a cash tip. I gave her $10 cash so she owed me $1 back. Problem was, she ran my card for $41.50 and then told me to add $10 to the tip line to pay for the wax minus the $1 she owed me. So she charged me $1.50 over for the fill and then took the wax bill under the table as a "tip". What an operator... read more

I love this place, they have fantastic service, atmosphere and prices. Some nail salons (especially in strip malls) can be sketchy at best so it's good to be able to pick out the good ones. I've had many a pedicure and manicure here as well as an occasionally reflexology foot massage. All have been great! Stop by this place in South Mpls/Richfield! read more

Wow - how am I the first to review this place! By far the best (non-spa) nail salon I have been to in Minneapolis. I have been here 4 times now and everytime it has been super clean and the staff have been really friendly. They offer you something to drink (thus far I know they have bottle water and diet coke) It's not super cheap but I am willing to spend a little more to know I am not going to get some creepy nail infection. The older gentleman that does the reflexology/massage for the pedicures is awesome! It's not a quick rub with no pressure - you actually get a real massage - can't be that. read more

Love this place! If you need a quick pedicure they can get you out in 1/2 hour! Ask for Quinn. She's great!

Wouldn't recommend. I got a mani and pedi. The pedi was good, but the manicure looks terrible and the polish bubbled, not to mention that she took a phone call while she was doing my nails. Unfortunately she had me pay her before she did it and I included a tip because the pedicure looked good. NOT HAPPY! read more

Went here for years and spent a lot of $$$$. One Sunday with an appointment, and knowing Annie does not work Sunday, show up on time and asked to come back 30 minutes! I have never rated places I have been to before but after going here I just had to do it. My 5 year old daughter and I went to get manicures yesterday. It was the most friendly place we have ever been to. I came out of there raving to all my friends who live in the area and am excited to plan our girls party there. The women there spoke English very well that even my 5 year old could conversate with them. Polite, clean, and friendly along with decent prices...Could a girl ask for anything more? read more

This was the worst manicure I have experienced. I was in the salon at around 5:30 on a Thursday, and I was the only customer there the entire time, which was rather depressing. The salon is very cluttered, but I can certainly look past something like that if the service is good. The nail technician did not talk to me unless necessary. I noticed a big fuzz in the polish after she applied it and it was clear that she was not going to remove it, when I did the polish smudged. She fixed it, but this never looks as good, and you usually need to remove the polish and reapply. My nails were well on their way to chipping less than two days later, and the polish was not applied evenly to begin with. To top it off, when the nail technician moved my purse to the drying station, she stepped on the strap which broke it, but I did not notice until I got home. I will not be going back, and will not recommend Nails Only to others. read more
