It is at a very convenient location next to other lovely shops and close to the Bellevue Ave where the Tennis Hall of Fame, the Audrain Auto Museum and the Historic Mansions are. After the first time I went into her store when she was on Thames St, I started to follow her on Instagram. Sad when she closed on Thames St., I hoped she would relocate. And she did! We happened to park near Frazzleberries, which I'd consider a more upscale souvenir shop. They have lots of high-quality goods -- gifts, magnets, clothing, etc. I was looking at a different shirt when a friend pointed out one that was SUPER soft. I tried it on and was immediately sold. The fit, the material, all great, and at a reasonable price. I want to say $35? I also bought a very nice Newport magnet at the checkout counter. A very successful visit!

The very first thing this associate said to my family -- before even a hello -- was a racially…read morecharged comment implying she needed to "keep an eye out" on my 7‑year‑old daughter because she is Black. That was her opening interaction with us. My daughter froze, then burst into tears as we left. She knew exactly what was meant, and the emotional harm was immediate and deep. A child should never have to feel targeted, unsafe, or singled out because of the color of her skin. The associate's attempt to act innocent as we walked out only made it more clear she knew what she had done. Racial profiling a child is not just inappropriate -- it is cruel. This behavior is disgusting, harmful, and completely unacceptable. No child should ever be made to feel targeted or unsafe because of the color of their skin. Management needs to address this immediately. No business should allow this.
