So like others, this was a contract through Home Depot to where I was in contact with Mike who would promise you the world and deliver you absolutely nothing. He will tell you one thing and do another. He will tell you, you could text him, but he will never respond. You call him and whatever he tells you he will not follow through with so don't trust anything Mike has to say he said he would be in touch with me he never was in touch with me. I call him. He doesn't answer. He tells me they would get the project done and he completely has no regard for your time so I would say go with any other service and if you have to buy something from Home Depot find your own installer. I have reviewed this company before and I gave them a 5-star review but things have seriously changed. Back in 2021, they were great....they came and installed a new water heater in our home. And yes they did great work. On 1/1/2023 I went down to the basement to wash sheets and noticed water. I went upstairs and turned the water on and it seemed to be coming from a drain. I called N & J directly and I was told to call the next morning when the manager comes in at 8. Which I did. I called at 8 he wasn't there. I called at 9 and he wasn't there. I called at 10 and he wasn't there and I had to go out. So I left my name and number. I went out and came back thinking I'd have a message on my answering machine. NOTHING!!!!! I called the office back and I was told they were all booked up to call the next day around 8. Again the same thing happened. I called at 8...and the manager wasn't there I called at 9 and he wasn't there. My name was taken a second time and no callback. Now I'm on January 3rd. I got the manager his name is Nick and he said someone would call to schedule me someone come out I said good...I'm getting tired of trying to wash in the kitchen sink. Waited til 3 and I had to go out and no one called me. So I called a different place that's right here where I live in Stratford. He was at my house in half an hour. He looked.....gave me a very decent price and said he'd be at my house the next day at 9:30. He arrived and he and his son worked miracles. I made them freshly perked (old school) coffee on the stove...I bought them donuts and bagels and they were extremely happy. So you know what N&J...I used to tell people about your services. Not anymore. I'm done. Maybe my job monetarily wasn't big enough....I don't know. But it's not right to not call back a previous customer. GOODBYE N&J!!!!!!!! P.S. I also forgot to mention...when you installed the hot water one of your workers said how bad this one pipe was cause it was plastic. He said this isn't good it should be a metallic pipe cause it's water coming in not draining. So I figured if it was that bad when we had all this work done he would have fixed that. In fact,... when they were done and I saw that same pipe there I called back to have them change that pipe out. I called two times and they never honored what they had said they were going to do. Come out and swap out that plastic pipe. Another bad thing!!!!!!! P.S. #2 Problem started on the 1st of the new year and that's when I called. I finally got an email from the owner of the business (on the 6th of January) stating his whole crew had Covid. But ya know what....on the 2nd when I spoke to someone at the office I was told no one could come out cause they were all out working on jobs...they were booked? Something isn't jiving here. So either everyone's sick and can't come out or they are all out on jobs....maybe worth more than mine money wise and that's why I'm not getting a callback or a day scheduled. I needed a new water heater tank, contacted Lowe's installation which contracts with N&J. Mike called me right away to set up an appointment and they came the very next day. They were quick, efficient, and very reasonably priced. When they were done with the installation they showed me everything I needed to know and made sure they answered any and all questions I had before they left. I thought we had a small leak coming from the new tank so I called them the next morning, Mike picked up right away and sent someone over the same day to check it out. Ended up being something unrelated to the new tank. But they were very responsive and professional. I would definitely recommend N&J! read more

I order a new toilet from Home Depot in April 2023- I paid for installation from N& J plumping a business 1 Harford Square New Britain Ct which I selected from an authorized list at Home Depot. I had it noted on the order that I wanted it installed in our Master Bedroom bathroom, I also paid to have the toilet that was previously in that bathroom to be moved and installed in the downstairs Rec room bathroom. The installer over tightened the nuts on the base of the toilet and cracked it in the process. When I called N & J I was told there was nothing they could (or would) do to make it right. They said old toilets tend to crack when moved. That toilet was only 2 years. After several calls I was put in touch with the "owner" who offered to sell me a new toilet and to charge me for installation and deliver and to waive some fee they charge to come out and evaluate a new install. Translation: nothing. I could have done that anyway any where else. I was told someone could come out and glue the crack on the base, but they would charge me $75 to come out and do it. I paid $300 dollars to move that toilet from upstairs to downstairs. Home Depot said there was nothing they could do, but I requested the remove them from their list of approved installers, and have heard nothing concerning that. read more

Absolute brutal experience. The fact that this company is contracted through Home Depot is beyond me. Horrible communication, not on time, UNRELIABLE. Showed up the first time with the wrong water heater, second time when they came they realized they needed an outlet installed near the water heater. Once they left they said we'd hear from them to get everything situated but that was actually the last we heard from them. Bought a disposal at home depot. signed up for installation. Received a call from N & J Plumbing 860-914-8936 and received a quote and set up installation for Wednesday 6/8/22, the window was 1:00-5:00. At around 5:30 I called as no one showed up, technician said he had to stay longer at the last stop and wont be able to come today. He said he had an opening on Friday so I rescheduled. Waited all day Friday 6/10/22 and to date no one showed up or called. This was a 2 day waste of time, and I am very disappointed. I will never be involved with this company again. N&J recently installed a hot water heater for me. While the installers did a good job, be aware that the company will charge you for extras. For instance, I was charged for a permit that they never pulled (more than twice the cost of the actual permit). While this seems like a small thing, it's dishonest. AWFUL service. Do not recommend this plumbing company whatsoever. We needed a new water heater, had no hot water at all with a baby so It was an emergency. They came out with wrong water heater. They were at our home so they looked at our current water heater to see what was needed. It took them 4 days to even get back to us about a new water heater. Couldn't even have the decency to answer any of my calls to let us know the status or what was going on. Called mike numerous amounts of time... never would return my call. When mike finally called me back. He said we needed a whole diff water heater , when they came to install that water heater ( an hour later then when they were supposed to be there) , they couldn't because It needed to be plugged in and there was not an outlet in our furnace room, even though they were supposed to have looked when they originally came out to see what was needed. Told us we would need to spend 4,000 on a diff water heater. Then never even got back to use to give us a quote or set up a date. They honestly had no clue what they were doing and seemed very confused. I Had a professional company come out the next day ( same day we called them) and installed a tankless water heater for half the price. AWFUL. I purchased a heater at Lowe's and was contacted by 1800heaters to schedule installation and removal. N & J Plumbing LLC.was the subcontractor for the job. Installation was scheduled for 5/27/2022 around 10 AM. No-one contacted me on that day, after 3 calls to them I was finally contacted at 1:30 for installation between 5PM and 9PM. Rescheduled for 5/31/2022 again never heard from anyone and when they finally came they were poorly equipped with a broken pump,no rags , not even a shop vac. Needless to say I wound up with a flooded cellar and supplied my own shop vac and rags. They could not remove the old hot water heater and said they would contact me the next day about removal, again NO call. I finally called them on 6/8/2022 they'd come on the 15th...NO show NO call. I called them once again they promised to come on 6/20/2022....NO call NO show. Reached out to owner Nick on 7/11/2022 promised removal and offered a $200. gift card to Lowe's. Old heater FINALLY removed but no gift card. I again reached out to Nick...another promise of gift card....Here we are on 8/18/2022 and another promise unfulfilled.
