I had my nails done previously at another place, they were so terrible. After coming to N&K, they completely fixed and reshaped my nails !! I will never go to another place! Super clean. Walk away from this salon....I went there for a pedicure today, and it was the worst I have ever had. I said ouch several times while he was cutting my nails. I have a cut on my big toe and polish on my skin. He was so rough it was awful! There were little kids running back and forth and he was yelling at them while he was torturing my poor feet! Stopped in on a Saturday with no appointment and didn't have to wait more than 5 minutes. The pedicure was great. The nail tech really scrubbed and made my feet soft. I've had too many pedicures in the area where my feet still feel rough after the service. The gel polish was applied well and they had time for a gel manicure again. Went here for the first time yesterday. I woke up with red dots all over my feet and legs. Would not reccomend going here. I called and she said maybe its the sea salt treatment. I have had sea salt treatments many times and have never gotten a rash from it. read more

My friend and I scheduled an appointment and when we got there, even thought we had an appointment they prioritized walk-ins before us. The whole entire row of seats were empty but they decided to put my me and my friend on opposite sides of the salon, which I would understand if they were jam packed... but they weren't. I showed the guy a picture of what shape and length I wanted and said I wanted a bit shorter than that. My nails ended up looking good shape wise but they were way too long (longer than the picture). The whole time the man who was doing my nails was acting very strange and kept smacking the side of his neck and throwing his head back and sighing, which was a bit concerning. My friend who asked for long rounded nails had a worse experience with the end result than I did. The man added no angle to her nail so her nail was completely straight with a rounded bubbly end. It honestly looked like what a straw looks like when you cut it in half the long way. I had recommended the salon to my friend who ended up going and she said the man who did her nails had bloody fingers, hurt her nails and used dirty tools. I was going to go back to get a fill because my actual nails turned out pretty well, but after my two other friends experiences I decided to go to Star Nails in Amesbury and had a way better experience. read more

Worst experience and total waste of time. I had to be at work by 3pm - walked in at 1pm - they said it would be about a 30minute wait. I signed in - walked to Walmart for a second then came back. Sat for about 20-25 mins, just as I was ready to walk out they called me back, soon after a bunch of the employees stepped into the back and never came out - lunch I'm guessing. So it's a little after 1:30 and still got time but it's pushing it. Sat in the pedicure chair with no one turning on the massage chair for almost 15 mins and my feet were wrinkled and no one had started on my feet yet. I got up with wet feet, put on my sandals, some girl jumped up from behind the counter and asked where I was going. I said y'all are taking too long and I walked out! Total waste of my time! I hope other people read this. The ladies across from me had to cancel their manicure part because they had to go pick uo their kids soon so they were taking too long on these people too! Not to mention I saw one girl put her phone on speaker while she was doing a lady's nails. That's so rude and disrespectful!!!! Talk to your customers not your speaker phone! Dumbasses! read more

This place is awful. I went on a Wednesday afternoon when they weren't busy. It's a clean salon but the employees aren't very welcoming and don't say a word to you while doing your nails. Part of my nail isn't even painted. Please don't waste your time or money. read more

I just got a pedicure there on Friday...first time there and I just left urgent care as I have an infection on one toe and one starting on another! I had no cuts on my toes prior to this. My go to spot to get my nails done, always done exactly the way I want them. A little disappointed not about the quality but just simple ethics. Was very slow when I walked in I didn't have an appointment which was fine and I was taken right away. Sit down and this lady comes in pretty much demanding she has only an hour and is on her lunch break. So the technicians start talking in a different language and of course I'm asked to move down a couple chairs and wait. Like really?? Mind you I'm young not that young but the woman demanding she has only an hour was a real bitch and an older woman. Not a confrontational person at all but my husband was next door with my six month old daughter so you only having an hour is completely irrelevant come back later on. It's just the principle. Just felt they didn't want my business and took the bitchy lady first. Obviously I waited after wanting to just walk out numerous times. I have waited up to 30 minutes before someone helped me even though I was there before 3 other people they helped. Overpriced, overcrowded, no massage of forearms with manicure, they didn't use cuticle oil or the scrub brush on my nails ... But the worst was that I didn't see 1 thing sanitized while I was there. Which is especially disappointing since I came here because other reviews said clean. Ya, the place is new and it looks clean but there's a big difference between modern/new and sanitary. If I could rate this salon with negative 5 stars I would. My daughter and I have been going to N and K for several months for dip manicures and they have been fine. Nothing to write home about but quick and a decent job. At our last visit 2 weeks ago, my manicure was lumpy and would not dry. After several attempts to fix them and 1 1/2 hours they finally dried. Result was not great -- stilly lumpy, finger prints where they touched it too soon, too much top coat on sides of the nails.... My daughter's back-to-school manicure on the other hand was well done, she was happy and that's all that mattered. We went back today for my daughter's birthday and this time mine was done well but my daughter's would not dry. After several failed attempts to fix it, we asked to simply have the polish removed as we had run out of time (2 hours and counting and she had to get back to school). They would not honor our request tried again to fix it. My daughter's nails look like mine have for the past 2 weeks. We will not be going back. We understand that things happen and are very understanding. The salon should only have technicians skilled at dip manicures doing them. They also need to listen to their customers. A birthday present at a nail salon should not turn into a stressful experience. read more

We made an appointment two days ago for today at 11:30. We called ahead of time to make sure our appointment was still there and they said they didn't have an appointment under our name, they said to come and and they would take us right away. Got to the place and waited 20 minutes before seated to get our gel manicures. I started with one person but almost halfway through my person switched and I got someone new which I am fine with. The new person I got was then switching between me and someone else doing both of our nails. I was often left sitting when the UV lamp shut off and it was time to switch and paint the other nail. My friend also got a manicure and a pedicure. Her technician was rude and didn't respond when she spoke. Instead, he was busy laughing with another worker and talking to the other workers in a foreign language. As she got home her pedicure chipped almost right away. Will not be returning anytime soon. It seems very unsanitary and didn't use cuticle gel. Low on staff. Do not recommend. Will not be back anytime soon... read more

Avoid this salon if you want any quality in the work on your nails!! I was in a wedding just over a week ago and one of the bride's gifts to us was to have gel manicures. I have acrylics and I got them filled by my normal girl in my own town the day before. When I got there, they kept asking if I wanted a fill even though I told them multiple times I just wanted them to only paint my nails in a classic white French manicure. They didn't even need to shape them. Easy enough right? Well, the gel nail polish the guy used was bad and when we went to cure the polish in the UV light, all of the polish shriveled up and ruined the manicure. He also made the French tip way too small in proportion to my nails. (And my nails are not that long). He had no idea what to do so he went and got a woman to fix it. She drilled off enough of the shriveled polish to make it flat, painted a correct sized French tip, cured it, and painted a silver line in I swear barely 5 minutes.. Because she didn't completely take off his mistakes, you can still see the line where he had the incorrect sized French tip.. The silver glitter was dried out and made large clumps on my nails. She painted them so fast and didn't take her time that the clear gel top coat was all on my fingers and because of the spillover on my fingers, it caused sharp edges and lifting of the polish.. To say the least, I was very disappointed in the service.. Wish I could give less than one star. Check out other horror story reviews on Google. NOT GOOD! read more

Me and my daughter got manicures and pedicures there. It is a pretty clean and nice place, however they don't do a nice job on the nails. They cut my nails extremely short, so short that 4( yes, four!!) weeks later they still hurt! I always get shellac on my toe nails, since it lasts longer. First of all, shellac needs to be soaked of nails, to prevent damage to your nail plate. N&K Nails don't soak the shellac off, but literally use nail clippers to take it off your nails together with your nail layers. And their shellac came off three days later, instead of two weeks that shellac supposed to last. Leg massage was terrible and painful. My daughter also complained about her nails being too short and painful. Manicure wasn't better than pedicure, I asked for shellac and my nails were burning in their UV light, and after all their torture, my nails started to chip the next day. The place isn't cheap either, I paid over $120 for my daughter and I. I will not be back nor will I recommend this place. read more
