I see a lot of mixed reviews for this studio, but obviously I can only speak on my own experience…read more I visited for the first time today and took a classic barre class which was 50 minutes. I also want to mention that I booked the class through Class Pass. Upon arrival, I was greeted by Emmie who was also my instructor. She was very sweet and so welcoming. She gave me a brief summary of what to expect and answered any questions I had. My first impression of the studio was that it was very clean and cute. The class itself was great. Emmie is an awesome instructor and very motivating which makes all the difference. There is a parking lot but it can get full as the studio is located in a plaza with other businesses. Overall, I had a great experience here and can see myself coming back.

Always welcoming,…read morealways fun - their classes are not just challenging, they offer variety and engagement that takes you to the next level. I'm so glad I found them, I honestly prefer them to any barre studio in the area (I've tried them all). The instructors are top notch and incredibly helpful. I also appreciate that they mix things up with new styles of class - I just tried a brand new class the other day which engaged a ton of lateral movement - not common in Barre and really left me feeling like I experienced something new. They recently reopened and I am very excited to see what they have in store for Lake Oswego!

Buyer beware. When…read moremy schedule changed and I attempted to cancel my membership, I was informed that I would be charged for an additional full month regardless of whether I used the classes. What turned a routine cancellation into a negative experience was not the existence of policies, but the way the situation was handled. Communication was delayed, dismissive, and unhelpful, and reasonable questions about options or accommodations were repeatedly met with deflection rather than engagement. The studio owner's public response to this review further illustrates the issue. Instead of addressing concerns about communication and professionalism, it speculates about my motives, references my class bookings, and characterizes me as attempting to "take advantage" of a promotion. That framing is inaccurate and unnecessary. I was willing to adhere to the terms of the agreement and downgraded my membership in good faith when my schedule changed. The issue was never avoiding obligations -- it was the lack of respectful, straightforward communication. Publicly calling out individual customers by name and assigning intent, rather than resolving matters privately and professionally, is concerning. This experience felt far removed from the community-focused, supportive environment the brand promotes and instead reflected rigid enforcement paired with poor customer care. Prospective members should read cancellation and downgrade terms very carefully and consider how issues are handled if circumstances change.

The staff are knowledgeable and experienced and the members are friendly and welcoming. The variety of class types keeps it interesting and challenging. I have been practicing…read morePilates on and off for the past 15 years with an amazing array of instructors; however, I must say that Marsha is the crème de la crème! She knows everything about the body -- how it moves, why certain muscles ache, etc. All I have to do is tell her, "I felt a pinch right here when I did that movement," and she always knows what muscle is affected and why, then she will have me adjust my posture or movement and voila! everything is in working order! I always have a great time during my workouts, both Marsha and Steve are so much fun and I can't say enough about how wonderful they are as instructors. I highly recommend Pushes and Pulls for Pilates novices and ol' pros alike. Before I forget, Marsha introduced me to Gyrotonic and it is AMAZING, albeit challenging at times, but it is so worth it.

Very excited to review Marsha. I worked with her at another studio for over a year. I was post…read morespine surgery and had barely any movement in my spine. Before I had spine surgery I was jogger and did yoga for years. One day my back went out and even after surgery I could do nothing. Then someone suggested Pilates. I researched and found Marsha at a studio in San Francisco. Martha's knowledge of anatomy and movement is incredible. She started me slow off at first with mat Pilates and then Cadillac, Reformer and Chair and finally introduced me to Gyrotonic. Adding Gyrotonic showed me that I could one day get back to yoga, which I've now been back doing about a year. She's patient and encouraging. She even wanted to look at MRI reports I had and asked questions of my physical therapist and physicians so she could properly guide me and get me back to an active physical life. I owe a lot to Marsha.
