It was my very first experience with a massage expert. I walked away feeling so great I recommended Wendy to my wifey who has some ongoing physical issues. However, I've begun developing a few issues of my own and expect to begin visiting myself, more often. From the Wifey: I've been a client of Wendy's for several years now. In fact, I followed her from her previous employer, to this location (her own place). Not exactly sure how many times I've seen her over the years. I'm the type person that goes when I have a ache or pain, not just for a relaxing massage. I've suffered from sciatic issues and lower back compressed vertebrae for years. When I feel my worst I finally make a decision to go. Of course, this isn't the best way of treating myself. When I go - Wendy takes the time to listen to me as I describe my current issues. She has never pushed or rushed me out the door. She takes what I describe and then begins. While working on me she then seems to feel (via her hands) exactly my issues. By time I leave I feel a lot better!!!!! As for the location: I would describe it as a very comfortable and relaxing atmosphere. So we will both say that we highly recommend Healing Hands, Wendy, for your massage needs.

Cold air was blowing on me while on massage table and I said I was cold, she left and came back. Still cold air blowing on me. Everytime she left me alone during massage to attend to someone else who walked in I was uncomfortably exposed half naked on the table with her leaving door open. Audacity: She directly asked for tip after the traumatic, rushed, incomplete massage. Sum it up... Confirmed for 1 hour. Called back to say arrival at 6pm. Arrived on time. At arrival required to prepay the hour massage. $6 extra for credit card charge. Paid. When I asked why they were being taken before me, I was told that all of the technicians who do acrylic were with clients. However, while I was still waiting, another white woman and her daughter came in requesting a polish change and a fill-in -- and they were also taken before me. At that point, it became clear that I was being overlooked. I decided to leave. Only then did one of the technicians offer to fix my nail, and another receptionist apologized. The original receptionist who told me no one was available said nothing. There were Black women in the salon receiving services, so clearly money is accepted from everyone -- but my experience made me feel invisible and dismissed. Being passed over multiple times, while being told something that was clearly not true, felt discriminatory and disrespectful. No one should feel ignored or treated differently in a place where they are spending their money. I will not be returning.
