Today, I had reflexology by Stefanie and it was dreamy. It's so interesting how points on one's feet can be felt in various body parts/organs. Massage pressure is personalized and she was right on target as well as the manipulation of my feet was executed with care and gently. Stefanie has excellent customer service and she explains things as she moves around the feet however also periods of quietness for solitude or in my case a snooze. I booked and paid for a sports massage knowing that every massage therapist has their own techniques and style. I want to be very clear that I have absolutely nothing negative to say about my therapist as a person. She was great - really cool, easy to talk to, and our conversation made the experience incredibly comfortable. The atmosphere itself was also outstanding. The space was welcoming, relaxing, and somewhere I initially planned on returning to, which is why I had already scheduled another appointment. That being said, these services aren't cheap, and I booked this massage for a very specific reason. I'm at the end of a long training block and preparing to run a 100-mile race. My goal was to loosen everything up, get some deeper tissue work done, and give my body the best chance possible to feel refreshed heading into the start line. Unfortunately, the massage felt much more like a relaxation massage than the deeper sports/deep-tissue work I was expecting. Afterward, I didn't notice any difference in the specific areas I had hoped to have targeted. I completely understand that techniques vary between therapists, and sometimes a service simply isn't the right fit. That alone would not have prompted me to leave a negative review. What has been most disappointing is what happened afterward. I reached out to Resolve Body Works multiple times to explain my experience and give them an opportunity to address it. I sent a text, an email, and a message through Instagram, and I also attempted to call the business. It has now been about a week, and I have received no response at all. I wasn't looking to attack anyone or blame my therapist. I simply wanted to communicate that I had paid a significant amount for a specific service and walked away feeling like I hadn't received the type of treatment I booked. I would have appreciated even a simple acknowledgment or conversation about it. Because I never heard back, I ultimately canceled my next appointment. That's genuinely a shame because the atmosphere was fantastic, I really liked my therapist, and I would have been open to returning and trying something different had someone simply communicated with me. Ultimately, the massage itself may have just been a mismatch between what I needed and the technique provided. I can understand that. What I have a much harder time understanding is reaching out through four different methods and receiving no response whatsoever. For the amount these services cost, communication and customer care should be part of the experience. Unfortunately, I walked away feeling like I spent a pretty penny on something that didn't meet my needs and then was completely ignored when I tried to address it.

Two sessions in, and my Garmin data shows a clear pattern -- noticeably better sleep on the second night after each session. Kellen is warm, skilled, and explains everything clearly -- important when you're in recovery. At my first visit she spent extra time afterward, completely unprompted, walking me through additional recovery resources. I tipped accordingly. Tips: 1-Save the chatting for after the session -- every minute spent talking beforehand is time you don't get on the table. 2-Ask about packages before booking to save significantly. 3-They're a medical facility, so they accept HSA/FSA cards, and they'll give you detailed receipts for possible insurance reimbursement with a doctor's order. Four stars for me because, when you're already paying for a premium service, the session should cover what's therapeutically indicated rather than upselling add-ons -- especially ones with no additional supply cost. If I need the scar remodeling or the facial MLD or anything else that doesn't cost the company, it should be included in the service time purchased. No full results yet since I'm early in the loading phase, but I trust Kellen's skill and the data backs it up. IMHO, I highly recommend for anyone dealing with lymphedema.

She listens to you when you tell her what your goals are and I believe modifies her approach to meet those goals -- down to such silly things as "I want medium to firm pressure. And my feet are ticklish so if you touch them you have to be very firm. And my neck has tension knots that I wish could be worked out." How she can be gentle and impactful at the same time, I do not know. I am always apprehensive about going to see a new massage therapist as they can be very good or not so much. This was the best of the best experiences. I left feeling refreshed and limber. And as I type this a day later, my body knows it had some limits gently tested. I mean that in a very good way. The facility is functional and comfortable. The spa music in the treatment rooms is subtle and non-intrusive and supportive. The owner and other staff people I met were all friendly and engaging. The business is set up to take venmo to leave gratuities if that's your preference. I can't imagine anything they didn't think of. I cannot wait to get back there again. 10 stars if it were possible.
