Our deckhand Casey and our Captain Jane were so amazing! Very friendly, lively and fun! This was the ultimate tour! We are locals from Oahu and was just visiting Kauai for the weekend. so glad my daughter booked this tour on a pontoon boat and NOT on the rafts or on a huge boat! The pontoon boat was perfect for jumping waves and we could even back in and weave through the caves! This tour is about 4 hrs, please bring sunscreen and please be ok using the bathroom in the deep sink! lol The weather was perfect! We got to see many pods of spinner dolphins! We swam with the reef fish, was given snacks and drinks! On the way back, it was full speed ahead, jumping waves but Captain Jane made sure we didn't land them too hard! Casey even cut up some fresh pineapples for everyone to enjoy! This experience was fantastic and highly highly recommend captain Jane and Casey! I highly recommend his tour- I was nervous about getting motion sickness but was totally fine. we went on the 7 am catamaran tour and had Kylie and Jay as guides and this was seriously the most magical experience. WOW! This was a super fun experience and a must-do in Kauai. We saw a bottlenose dolphin with a little baby right out of the harbor. Later we saw huge schools of spinner dolphins and a few sea turtles. JD was the best captain you could ask for. He was laid back and told us a lot of interesting facts about the landscape and wildlife we saw. He was also an excellent captain. It was November and we had 6-8 foot swells. He expertly threaded the needle between the swells to give us a safe and comfortable ride. I also liked that they had Hawaiian flavored chips and drinks for our trip back. If you are looking for a fantastic guided boat tour and experience then you need to make a reservation on the Na Pali Experience ... and ask for Captain JD's as your tour guide. This is a more personal tour of the trips we saw launching and it was absolutely perfect. We were able to snorkel on the morning we launched so had an incredible view of the sea turtles, coral reef, and a massive amounts of fish. On the way to and from the launch we were able to stop and see the spinner dolphins that were just inches from the boat. Both times there was about 50+ dolphins in the pod and they loved to show off as they swan and spun in the air. Captain JD also was so knowledgeable of the island and was just an awesome tour guide with so many details of the island history, its people, and the wildlife. 10/10 experience. we were considering a tour option to allow us to go into the sea caves but also have a more personalized experience. We chose the 6 person Catamaran tour. It's called Napali Adventure Catamaran tour. We had only 6 people on the entire boat + our amazing captain Chellen. He told us stories, described the scenery and gave us the history of the coastline. We also kindly answered my million questions. Chellen was seriously amazing and made the experience so much better. I felt super confident that he would keep us safe on the water and navigate the rough waters of the north swells. He also took the best photos of us!!! This tour offers a large dry bag (enough to keep hella stuff towels, etc), water and drinks, snacks and fresh fruit, snorkel gear, water noodles and life vests. No shoes on the boat but they store them for you. Because you are seated, you are able to take photos or videos of your boat ride and enjoy more. The seats up front allow you to put your feet up, ride the waves, cool off with mist, and get a perfect view. We didn't get to snorkel because of the murky water but instead explored multiple sea caves and went further out to the end of the entire coastline. We also jumped into the water to re fresh. We saw tons of spinner dolphins and a few sea turtles. We had a great time and honestly felt this was the best tour of the coast possible. Probably the best tour of its kind in Kauai that includes both Na Pali coast sightseeing and an hour of snorkeling to view fishes and turtles. Lot of information given about the sights along the way and we entered a few inlets and caves too! Six to a boat. Only downside might be the period when sitting at the back - we're thin so that worked out for us but if you're not on the thin side I wouldn't want to sit on those tiny to the aft seats especially during rough waters, and it is during rough waters that the boat is capable of comfortably seating only four plus captain because no one may sit in the front when the swell is challenging and the boat is pounding up and down the chop. And it's irrelevant that the smoothest ride on a boat in rough waters is towards the rear (been sailing since I was little) if the "seats" at the stern are ten inch squares of hard plastic and not meant at all for sitting on for any length of time. In other words - these particular boats under Kauai rough seas conditions are really only fit for four plus captain. The company could perhaps prepare an illustrated brochure to give us after the tour is over to outline the names of all we see along the way because there's no way to remember especially all those Hawaiian names! Be prepared for rough seas in the afternoon but nothing unmanageable. read more

The best boat tour we've ever done! We loved the 6-person group size - super personal and more ability to maneuver quickly in the ocean. We considered the Pirates sister company but ultimately decided on this boat because it would be more comfortable, and it was! We came in the winter and were worried about weather conditions, but we had no issues. There were times at which the ocean was incredibly smooth, and closer to the Napali coast the waves were pretty rough. But their instructions on addressing seasickness worked like a charm (bromine night before and morning of; no coffee; light breakfast). And Captain Rob was a pleasure to be with. He was so energetic and taught us so much about Kauai and the animals. We saw SO many animals. We were so close to two different pods of dophins, saw a whale breach very close to us, and saw another whale jump out of the ocean. Absolutely amazing read more

It was a great day! Chellen and Corbin were great guides. We saw pod of dolphins, turtles, snooped and saw many cool fish.

This is the third time we have checked out the Napali coast with Na Pali Experience. Second time with Capt. Chellen. Beautiful day. We saw so many Spinner dolphins, sea turtles and other fishes on the ride out. The thing for me how massive the coast is. Keanapuka Mountain rising from out of the sea, visiting the caves and snorkeling. I can't say how much fun this trip was. The big thing is you share the experince with a maximum of six people. Totally worth the price of admission. I see the other excursions and they number from 20 people a boat to I think at least 60 of your closest friends. I know you don't get the same experience with those groups as well. In summary, make sure you do visit the Napali coast, make sure to request Capt. Chellen and make sure you use Na Pali Experience. Please read - the experience was amazing! I am going to get personal here to drive home why we loved it. I had to two sisters that drowned many years ago and going into large bodies of water is very difficult for me, but my partner has no issues. I went very reluctantly, and was truly afraid. Ian, our captain and Rocky our host were amazing! The beginning, I thought why did I do this, anxious and truly afraid, I sat close to were Ian was and watched him drive this boat in choppy waters - he knows what he is doing and is so great! Rocky came by and talked with me which helped calm me down. As we proceeded my fear became less and I began to enjoy all the beauty, it was breath taking!! Soon we saw a pool of dolphins and it was magical!! Following we arrived at the Na Pali coast - caves, the water, and mountains is not something to miss. I soon trusted Ian and Rocky and felt we were is good hands, I surrendered and just enjoyed myself. Ian knows so much history and really brought to life everything we were witnessing! The big topper for me was snorkeling is deep water, I was for sure not going to do this when I got on the boat, but as I mentioned, I trusted them and let go. I put on a life jacket - I was the only one wearing it, but that's okay, I went into this water and swam. We saw beautiful fish and at the end, I saw the most beautiful turtle that swam next to me and I was grateful I felt safe and just enjoyed myself. They were a great team and really made this experience life changing in some many ways that I am sure they had no idea what I was going through. Honestly, I booked this last minute and at first I was skeptical because I didn't think a boat tour would that exciting.. but boy was I wrong. This was such a great experience! UNBELIEVABLE experience and best vacation decision ever made!! With an option of a lunch catered catamaran or speed boat raft called a Zodiac, so glad we picked the speed boat raft experience. This was such a fun and stunning way to see the Na Pali Coast; Collin and Corbin's vast knowledge of the land added to this incredible experience. First thing, we were blessed with HUMPBACK WHALES!! Mom and teenage whales gave us a show breaching and was just an awesome encounter with nature. Next up watching a pod of "sleeping" dolphins in crystal clear waters... hundreds of them. Then the gorgeous Na'Pali Coast and venturing into death defying caves that left us with our jaws dropped in awe. Unfortunately snorkeling wasn't an option due to water conditions, but we got to take a refreshing and memorable swim in calm waters. Collin and Corbin were so fun and chill; it felt like hanging out with our buddies more than tour guides. One of my friends and couple of other girls got sea sick and they handled it so professionally and effectively. I cannot recommend this adventure more!! It actually felt life changing... DO IT. Nice sized boat for 6 guests and 1 captain. Captain Nate was the best! Born and raised native and has been driving boats for years. Very friendly, knowledgeable, and made the trip so memorable. We saw so much of Kauai including famous scenes from movies like Jurassic World, Pirates of Caribbean, Six Days Seven Nights and more. We even drove through several sea caves, went snorkeling, and saw two different species of dolphins up close and personal! He also provided insightful information about the beauty our eyes feasted upon and kept the trip going with perfectly timed music selections including the Jurassic Park theme when we came upon a section of the Na Pali Coast where one of the movies was filmed. My husband and I went on the Deluxe Power Catamaran Na Pali Coast Tour and we couldn't have had a better time! While we did do a self guided land tour up the coast the day prior, the absolute best way to view the cliffs is from the water. I do get nervous when it comes to water but I felt completely at ease with our captain and crew member and felt safe on the boat at all times. Our captain was Manu and he provided a fantastic experience. He was so informative on the culture, geography, and history of the island, and you can tell he has a genuine love for his home. Brian was his crew member and also gave great information as well. He was an excellent photographer and also gave great food and beach recommendations when we got back to shore! We didn't get to go snorkeling because of the waves but did get to hop off the boat for a quick swim while they put out fresh cut fruit and snacks for when we got back. As a note, this is a boat experience with the possibility of snorkeling if conditions permit, and your crew knows best! 10/10 would recommend! read more

The Na' Pali boat tour was the highlight of our visit to Kauai. Our guide, Chellen, was excellent and filled the afternoon with facts regarding the history & beauty of the volcanic shoreline. Our party included 9-year old twin boys who along with us, marveled at the caves. They also enjoyed swimming in the Pacific. Chellen engaged us with great conversation and snacks, especially the pineapples. Before leaving the dock , we received boat safety instructions and the six of us could not have felt more secure. If you've been to Kauai then you already know how gorgeous this island is but this was my first time and honestly every step I took had breathtaking views around every corner. The Na Pali Experience enhances that by 100%. It's like upgrading your eyes from pixels to HDMI. If you don't believe me just look at the photos. We started off this trip on a boat with about 10-11 people on board (with our wonderful Captains Colin and Chellen) They went through the rules and precautions of the trip, as it was going to be about a 5 hour boat ride with snorkeling including (snorkeling gear and flippers were also provided). Let me warn you that if you're motion sickness please take something before the boat ride. There are a lot of waves and it does get bumpy. I unfortunately learned that the hard way. Colin and Chellen were very knowledgeable, entertaining and funny. Showing us beautiful scenery and mountains in which music videos/ movies/ and ancient myths took place. Crystal clear blue water to vibrant green hills that made Instagram worthy posts. Snorkeling was a 10/10. Swimming with the fishes and alongside the turtles. Rode next to dolphins and watched the sun slowly set as we headed back to shore. If you're thinking about it, like Nike says...just do it! This place was very solid. We did the morning trip. Got there early and a guy checked us in. He looks at his clipboard and says "You're with Juice. Gonna have a good time". What!??? After waiting a little while, we boarded our boat ("Grandma Jane") and the captain introduced himself - it was the clipboard guy! "Hi! I'm captain Manu, but they call me The Juice!" I chuckled! The tour was all I could ask for. We stopped for some pods of spinner dolphins on the way there and some bottlenose dolphins on the way back! Half way there we also stopped for snorkeling. The snorkeling gear was nice and although the visibility was not great on our day (nobody's fault), we got to see multiple sea turtles and large schools of fish, both of which were lacking from our shore snorkeling at Kees and Tunnels. The pictures of the Napali coast were nice (a bit burned given the sun), and going through the sea caves was pretty cool! The captain was cool, chill and professional the entire day. No pressure with tips as some of the other companies do, but of course we did tip given the great experience. All in all, this was all I had hoped it would be and The Juice made it a great and special day. This is about the most expensive NaPali tour you can take, but it really is the best. Do go in the morning though, as the choopy waters in the afternoon would be pretty bad on the small boat. As The Juice put it to us, "You'll never see a local willingly go on the water in the afternoon, only tourists do that." PS: The recommended anti-nausea medication knocked us out for the entire day afterwards. It may or may not be worth it. read more

Just Amazing. Captain Austin was great. Honestly, this was my highlight for our trip to Kauai, we're from Oahu, Hawaii but first time to Kauai. Your guide makes the experience and Austin was entertaining and informational. We took the morning magic tour which departed at 7 AM from Waimea on the the south shore, the morning waters are typically more calm than later and the day and see see a different variety of sea life. Right off the bat we saw a bottle nose dolphin and like ten minutes later we saw several pods of spinner dolphins which kinda hung around and frolicked around the boat. Ok, it wa sorta a dolphin orgy. Ill be honest. We then proceeded to the Napali Coast on the western side of the island. Austin told us so of the history and land access of some of the points we saw. There's some remnants of waterfalls that were diverted for irrigation over a 100 years ago. As we proceeded North the coast like became more dramatic and jagged. We made out first stop off on a shallow cave than had hundred of small tern - birds nesting on the cliffside. So small like hummingbirds. Austin gave us a history of hollywood shooting movies at various locations such as king king. he drove the boat into several sea cave, got to stop for pictures, see natural arches and such. We saw a lot of areas from sea that are typically only accessible by an 11 mile hike a the currently closed Kalalau trails, including getting see some of the lookouts we visited a day earlier from sea level. On our return we stopped for some snorkeling where we saw a variety of fish and some sea turtles. Baby ones too. We ended our last stio with some fresh fruit and snacks. We some other tours on the way a pretty rough looking zodiac tour (about 12 per boat) and a party boat Catamaran (20+). I think we made the right choice choosing the Na Pali experience. Only 6 people on a boat, personal attention, good conversations and interactions. Captain Austin was great. My only regret was not bringing my DSLR with a wide angle lens. I highly recommend the Napali Experience. Made for some great memories. read more
