insanely expensive dogs. purchased a female five month old long hair German Shepard for Thirty Five Hundred Dollars(I know..insane) in April of 2019. My man said it's ok to spend that much on a dog, she will last at least twelve years. I reluctantly accepted his decision to purchase a dog from Nadelhaus. Loved her, she was beautiful. Although she ran into a tree and broke her neck on her two year four month old birthday. I called Nadelhaus to explain what happened and that I doubt her genetics are that amazing, as she described. She said it sounds like an accident and it's not the genetics cause. Guess I was expecting a little bit more???? I should have looked into life insurance for my dog that I purchased from Nadelhaus and would highly recommend that to anyone considering purchasing a dog through Nadelhaus!

Riley is the sweetest GSD we've ever had (she is our family's 5th). Barks when she should, obeys when we say stop. She's playful, joyfully chews on her much larger older brother, great with kids, friends and has made peace with the cat (which I think is awfully big of her because the cat is a snot). Our vet raves about how healthy she is and told us today she's the best GSD he's ever seen and he's been around for awhile. We tend to agree... biased? Who us? Naw!

    Happy pup!

Our sweet girl flew into SF. I was worried how flight would affect her--it did not at all! Best dog ever! So smart, family focused-- Traci is so helpful!

His owner passed a couple of months ago so he's been through many changes lately and was acting out. He loves to play and was driving my 3 other smaller dogs bonkers, door dashing and then running around the neighborhood, would not come when called, and generally stressing everyone out. The little dogs would hide all day and wouldn't go outside with him because he would chase and nip at them in an attempt to get them to chase him and play. Elise at Woof Training took him for 2 weeks and I can honestly say it's the best thing I could have done for Max and myself. I picked him up yesterday and he is a different dog. He did try to test his limits when he got home, but I stuck to his training and he has been terrific. I walked him today and he didn't once try to pull on his lead. The dogs all go outside together now and he mostly leaves them be. He tries to entice them to play, but not in a manner that scares or angers them. They aren't barking all of the time and I am not stressing. I can't thank Elise and Woof Training enough for training Max. The transformation is amazing. He's a little gentleman now. Thank you so much Elise! You're awesome! Laura Knight

Not great in most situations, scary in others :( He has a very sweet nature at home, but his and my quality of life was suffering due to his extreme reactivity to other dogs. Fun relaxing walks would quickly turn into stress-filled episodes of vicious lunging, snapping, and barking at other dogs. He is small but very frightening! I had dreamed of running through forests and fields, roaming everywhere with my little best friend. It just wasn't happening, it was stressing everyone out, we received glares and disapproving glances on the trails. I felt terribly embarrassed and wondered if there was any hope. I was pretty disappointed as I tried to accept our fate. Then we found High Tail. The results were miraculous, Max can now co-exist in peace with other dogs and doesn't even react anymore! I needed to understand how to work with his issues so he could recover and learn to trust. He needed kindness, understanding, and consequences. He is a special dog with a unique past and I think High Tail understood him and could gauge just how much work he could handle in training so he wouldn't get stressed. They keep it positive and make sure your dog is having a good time while learning. It was a great experience and I highly recommend them. They can probably help with most problems pretty quickly, I was extremely impressed and grateful that Max and I have a new life ahead full of doggy playtime and walks. Thank you High Tail!

In addition to beautiful puppies, she also has well trained and started Retrievers for sale. She also does obedience training, and trains hunting dogs. During the waiting period for the pups to arrive Karen was in constant contact with me keeping me updated. She also kept us updated and sent pictures once the puppies arrived which was awesome. She asked a lot of in depth questions so she could help pair us with a dog in the litter based on temperament. When we arrived to get our pup I was amazed at her property. It is very large and well kept. The house the puppies were in was beyond clean, and we even got to go meet the parents. I honestly thought that was so special. I really see some of Trooper and Ollie's mannerisms in my boy. Over the years we have actually kept in contact and Karen was an amazing sounding board if I ever had any questions regarding training my dog. When the time comes Karen will definitely be our breeder of choice. Our dog (Jet) is five and a half now. He charges the water hard, LOVES to retrieve, and is so well mannered. He's truly remarkable.

I notice that the reviews on Waterspook Labradors are not very recent, which causes me to wonder…read morewhat has changed and why our experience was so bad. In hindsight both my husband and I did not have a good feeling when we first arrived at the facility. Our puppy was reluctant to let the trainer come near her, or touch her. That should have been our first clue that our puppy did not feel comfortable with the trainer. Communications with the trainer focused on negative aspects of the puppy...food aggressive, only wants to do what is fun for her, wants to pick fights with other dogs... That is not the dog we brought up to Waterspook Labradors. We brought up a dog that was used to being around a 5 year old lab, two small dogs, and a Newfoundland. She ate her food beside her 5 year old sister and did not show any food aggression. She played like a normal lab puppy and took correction well from the older lab. She was able to sit, stay (for short periods of time), heel, come, and kennel. Three weeks into the training we receive a call that our puppy had viciously attacked a dachshund that the trainer was boarding and we needed to come and get her immediately. Upon arrival, my husband was greeted by a spiritless, sad puppy that smelled to high heaven, was filthy, and not the dog we had left at the facility three weeks prior. From the description of our dogs behavior at the training facility it sounded like the dog needed to be put down. It turns out that our dog did not cause physical harm to the small dog, but knowing a bit about Dachshund behavior and lab puppies one can only surmise what the small dog may have done to provoke such a response from a puppy. I am still wondering why the dogs were even in the same area. If my dog was showing so many aggressive behaviors why was she off-leash and out of the kennel? There are just too many unanswered questions. In addition to the dogs that were being trained, and boarded at Waterspook, there was also a large new litter of puppies to be tended to. Perhaps the trainer had too much going on at one time. I have taken the dog to the vet to rule out any potential medical causes for the described behavior; I have spoken at length with the breeder;, and nothing aligns with the behavior described by the trainer. Both the breeder and the vet suggested we just give her a lot of love and that the happy dog we brought up to Waterspook will come back. Needless to say , we are very gun-shy about taking the dog to another trainer for gun-dog training and will certainly listen to our gut-instincts and "listen" to our dogs behavior before committing to another trainer.
