I was in Chico for my granddaughter first birthday. First hour at the airbnb my two dogs found something dead and rolled in it! They smelled like s$&@! I called this place and they were able to squeeze us in. When I picked my dogs up, they were not kenneled, they were lying together calm and happy. Walking in, the dogs were all Clearly visible as were the staff. They were are friendly too. My dog looked better than he ever has being groomed. They had to wash him 3x to get the stench out. They cut him perfectly, clean up his paws and nails, which he usually doesn't let people do. We were so Impressed I'm calling to get my other dog in asap because I felt they cared for my babies and made they smell Great and look great. Please go check them out. Loved my experience here! My dogs have never been to a real grooming shop as I had a friend who is a groomer doing home grooms, so when she moved away I was dreading having to find a good groomer and worrying my dogs might not do well in a shop setting. Turns out I didn't have to look far or worry thanks to The Pampered Pooch! My border collie mix, Lilo, seemed to have a great time and she came home happy and refreshed. I thought it awesome that she was able to socialize with other dogs instead of being in a kennel. Additionally, the groom looks fantastic! They got her all trimmed up without taking away her pretty long-haired features. Her plumed tail was trimmed adorably! She's sensitive about her feet being touched and I am pleasantly surprised with how well they were able to get rid of her "grinch toes" haha. I also expressed my worries about bringing in my other dog, a nervous rescue pup, and they explained how they would be able to accommodate in a way that is best for him. I will definitely be going back and bringing my other dog for a "spa day" as well! read more

I travel in an RV and have to take my fur babies to whatever groomers I can when I am in a town. Pampered Pooch was the only opening I could find. I asked for Teddy Bear faces with summer cut bodies. What I got was....not that! They are very sweet but whomever did the actual grooming, should probably get a little more training. read more

Called before making a route, informed her that my dog was traumatized by how Petsmart handled her and that she WAS fine with nails but now she is very fearful. I was invited for a nail trim without strapping my dogs head, body and legs to the side of a metal cage. I took the invitation and upon arrive, knew that my dog would be in loving hands. This dog groomer was a dog handler as well, by the looks of it. She knew multiple MMA holds to get your dog into a safe position for the trim. Her helper was there by her side and they got the trim done VERY fast; considering all the wrestling my dog had them doing. PLEASE I ADVISE: PRICING IS ALMOST THE SAME FOR EITHER A CHILD WHO JUST GOT A RANDOM JOB CLEANING DOGS AND FOR SOMEONE WHO HAS A PASSION FOR POOCHES. This will now be my regular groomer!!! read more

If I could give a 0 I would. I bought the tools myself to just get her used to them and if a covid lockdown happened. But I wanted her used to the groomer. The first time my very chill 5 month old labradoodle puppy came in for a puppy cut. She was traumatized after but a new experience I thought. It was also extremely noisy with 2 or 3 blow dryers going that the groomers all wore noise canceling type headphones. So I called to say I liked the cut but my pup the noise was extreme. ( I couldn't even hear her when I was asked to pay). So she said they had quiet Saturday so I took her in a month later for nails and face. All good. I watched Jillian the owner do her face and took her back July 31 for Jillian specifically to groom her. There was another dog there but Jillian said she was a reschedule and were use finishing up. I showed Jillian to just cut off one of the 3 inches (she had no mats since I comb her daily). I was told it best that I not stay so I left. When I picked up Charli her face cut was very uneven and asked why she cut off 2 inches instead of one. Jillian said she forgot. Asked if she could fix the face and she said no she was leaving right away for a 2 week trip. Charli was pulling me out the door so I quickly paid, wondering why she again seemed traumatized. When I got home I saw that her belly had been nicked several times and a nipple had been cut. She had razor burn on her bottom and it looked like they plucked her ears? She had brown stuff--scab holes--that weren't there before. Anyways she kept shaking her head and scratching at her ears l. She didn't wzz ant me to touch her paws either. I called back to let them know what I found and took pictures of and I would dispute the charge on my cc. and I would be taking the dog to a vet. It took two weeks to get see the vet and unfortunately the pup still had water in her ears and were infected. Fortunately her belly did not get infected. It is now September and I've been slowly working with her. She is again ok with the clippers and scissors and nails but not as much as she once was before this appt. when Jillian got back around the 12th of august, I think, , she called me NOt to apologize and ask how Charli was, but to say she would refund the $120 and would cancel my next appointment and I was never to be allowed in her shop again. I told her no worries I would never go to a shop who cuts my dog. Should I also give her the $120 vet bill for the ear infection she caused? read more

Took my 3 year old Siberian Husky, Leo, to The Pampered Pooch today! Customers aren't allowed inside due to COVID, however, check in and check out is done at the door and is super easy! When I got there Jillian came out and greeted me, confirmed what I wanted done for the appointment, and took Leo from me. After an hour and about 15 minutes I got a call letting me know Leo was ready to be picked up! I get to the parking lot and Jillian meets me at the door with Leo, she even offers to walk Leo to my car to get him in since she most likely noticed that Leo is a very strong dog and drags me (haha!), but talk about great customer service! The last location I took Leo to get a grooming done didn't even put his leash back on and handed it to me instead to put on, while also having my dog running lose in the lobby, which isn't a big deal, but the other location was also on a very busy street, what if another customer was opening the door and my dog runs out into the intersection? That just didn't sit well with me, and they were more expensive. The fact that Jillian put my dogs leash back on and even offered to walk him to my car to get in was so appreciative. It shows how well she does with customers and goes beyond of what is expected of her! After Leo was in the car we checked out via phone with my debit card. The transaction was fast and easy! Thank you again Jillian for the amazing customer service and making Leo look so beautiful! I appreciate the help with loading Leo into the car so much, we will definitely be back! read more

I am so pleased with the Pampered Pooch!! I contacted them via Yelp over the weekend and Jillian got back to me early Monday morning. She was even able to fit my 7 month old Labradoodle, Peach, in the very same day! I told her my concerns with Peach and Jillian helped me feel at ease. We had tried to get Peach groomed once before at a different place and that groomer said Peach was too anxious and needed anti anxiety medicine from the vet before a groom. I was very nervous to give my dog meds, and luckily Jillian wanted Peach to come in with NO MEDS! She reassured me that she will take her time and ease Peach into the grooming process as well as provide her with breaks. Peach was with Jillian for two hours and came out looking FLAWLESS! Jillian is awesome. She goes above and beyond. You can tell she REALLY cares about the health of the dogs she services. She's a tad more expensive than my previous groomer but SO worth the money. My standard poodle looks stunning and smooth as velvet. My dog showed up very scared and she took time to bend down, introduce herself to her, pet her, and carry her when she wouldn't budge. Took my Yorkie and Poodle Mix to this place for the first time today and I could not be happier with the results. The cut on both dogs is absolutely perfect. I've been told my Yorkie can be a bit of a pill when getting groomed but the owner said she was great. Sorry I don't remember the name but she's the one who groomed her and I think its because she knows how to handle dogs so she didn't have a problem. And the poodle is 4 months and had his first haircut and he is absolutely adorable. This is 100% my new dog grooming place. read more
