The serving was large enough that I took half home, and it will make great leftovers. Service: The gentleman at the counter was friendly and efficient. He was very attentive, bringing each item to our table. He seemed genuinely proud of the food, its presentation, and our reaction to it. The portions are decent for lunch - two "mains" like I usually get daal and paneer plus basmati rice. That will run you $14 (without tip). The spice level is always very nice meaning there's heat but it doesn't overwhelm (at least I don't think it does; with the caveot being I love spicy food). People rave about the green sauce but I think the meal is always tasty without it. There's seating available if you want to dine in but everything is served in styrofoam and easily can be taken to go. I'm glad this place exists downtown and provides an excellent alternative to Third Ward dining options / meat-centric cuisine. The only potential issue you'll have is parking. Street parking in Milwaukee can be a pain especially in the summer but metered parking close by during the week isn't too hard to find. I ordered the mixed grill which is two beef kofta kebobs, one chicken shish kebob, cucumber salad, hummus, yellow rice and a pita. The chicken shish was white meat and somewhere in between moist to dry. The beef was good and it's like a meatloaf with Mediterranean spices. The hummus was average but still good when you spread it on the pita and make a meat sandwich. The pita was average with a dry bread texture. The cucumber salad was cold with the contrast of the hot grilled meat. The rice was the standard Mediterranean rice and over cooked to between Al dente and mush. The whole dish was just under two pounds and could easily feed two people. Overall was it the best Mediterranean food, no but when you factor in you live in the area and don't have to drive to the south side, east side or downtown it's pretty good. It's about time West Allis got a Mediterranean restaurant because we pretty much have everything else covered.
